The Bundanoon Guest House

Charming guest house with friendly and helpful hosts. Lovely guest lounge and other areas to sit in comfort and enjoy a cup of tea or a drink with friends. Great choice when travelling in a group. Evening meals available or walking distance to cafes, shops and a pub.

Tea bags in a teapot for breakfast! The guest house has a charming old fashioned atmosphere and vintage decor, so why not offer leaf tea? You have the teapots!!

The guesthouse's location was perfect, a short stroll to town and the station. The room was cosy with nice heating, electric blankets and heated bathroom floors. While there was no wardrobe, there were plenty of hooks to hang jackets. Breakfast was outstanding. While the description mentioned a 'continental breakfast', they really over-delivered. We were treated to juice, coffee, muesli, yoghurt, homemade jam, really nice bread and a warm cooked item that was different both days - the bacon and egg pie was delicious.

The soundproofing could have been better. We heard the trains run through the night. Lucie and Tim were very friendly. However, and while there was no ill intention, we didn't believe that sharing our room number and morning routine with other guests, regardless of our relationship with them, was appropriate.

We had a special Mother & son little weekend getaway and was pleasantly impressed by this gorgeous guesthouse in a beautiful town of Bundanoon. The location was so serene and upon entering the guesthouse, we were greeted with a lovely welcome, beautifully scented candles, and with the warmth of the fireplace, we knew it was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy quality time together. Our room was very clean with a nice modern bathroom overlooking the stunning gardens. We loved the cozy family room where we enjoyed a great Netflix movie and best chocolate brownie for afternoon tea.

The kitchen was closed for dinner on the Saturday night which was a little disappointing as we were looking forward to trying the delicious dishes on the menu.

Breakfast consisted of orange juice, cereal, fruit, yogurt, a savoury dish, toast, tea and coffee. Served in a beautiful large, airy room surrounded by antiques. There was a high standard of tea and coffee available in the guest lounge, along with home made biscuits and scones. Tea and coffee facilities were also available in-room. Our host was very friendly and helpful. Car parking was close by. Bathroom was large and well-equipped. Bedroom was superb.

The only minor criticism was that there was no TV in our room. Televisions were available in the two sitting rooms but needed to be shared with other guests.

This was a perfect little place to stay for the weekend. The guest house is set up with plenty of little places to relax and spend time. It has a wonderful ambience and is beautifully lit and decorated. I loved the little bar, the fireplaces and games room. The hosts were on hand to make sure everything met our needs and make us comfortable. Thank you, hosts Lucie and Tim :) We look forward to coming back soon.

We had a really enjoyable stay - nothing to add.

Limited in choice for breakfast but perfectly satisfactory. Scones arriving in the communal area very welcoming. Staff lovely and nothing too much trouble. The guesthouse furnished and decorated beautifully. Pouring with rain so could not appreciate the garden properly but looked lovely.

Bedside lights were not adequate for reading at night. Unfortunately for facility there was a power cut on the Saturday night we stayed. I think they are investigating a back up generator. Very scary but not their fault.

Tim and Lucie never disappoints! As hosts, they are very welcoming and hospitable. It's always a pleasure to come back to The Bundanoon Guest House- the amenities are clean, neighbourhood is friendly, food is amazing, ambience is homely, and hosts are excellent. Personally, it feels like home away from home. Will always be my go-to whenever I visit the Southern Highlands.

A beautiful guest house with two superb guest lounges where one can relax and read a book beside a cosy fireplace on a chilly night. Room and bed was super comfortable. And really enjoyed a game of billiards in the games room after dinner in the evening. Hosts Lucie and Tim were terrific and Lucie's home cooked breakfast frittata was delicious. And dinner at the Italian restaurant Botega B just down the road as recommended by Tim was superb. Terrific location in historic Bundanoon with the stunning Morton NP on the edge of town with amazing views and walking on offer. Best guest house stay ever and will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely nothing

We had the most wonderful time at Bundanoon Guesthouse. The room was beautiful, the bed was so so comfortable, the owners and staff were so lovely, the breakfast was delicious (and all homemade) and there were so many other beautiful touches when afternoon tea in the lounge room. We will definitely be recommending Bundanoon Guesthouse to everyone we know!

My sister and I enjoyed every moment of our stay. The guesthouse has old-world charm, beautiful gardens, comfortable bed and common areas for lounging around. Lucy and Tim were informative, welcoming and caring. The healthy and delicious breakfast was a plus. Thank you, Lucy and Tim for your efforts and warmth.
