Location is the best in Cairns. Right near the Marina, surrounded by restaurants and ferries. Stones throw from the lagoon. Room service was excellent. Quick and lots of variety. Pool was lovely and having the pool bar and food was great. Rooms were great and spacious. Bed was extremely comfy and the option to have new linen every day. (Does however seem excessive)

After my first shower I noticed a long patch of black mould in the shower cavity, they were however, very quick to clean it up for me. At the pool bar, there was only one woman working, so sometimes you waited 15 minutes to make an order (she was working so hard!) Some areas of the hotel were a little dated/ dirty around elevators etc. Staff weren’t super friendly like I have experienced at other 5 star hotels. Just kind of got you in and got you out.

The location of the hotel was fantastic, close to everything and right on the waterfront. The room was comfortable and cleaned daily. The pool area was fantastic and we enjoyed cocktails and food pool side. All the staff were very friendly and helpful and always served us with a smile. The food was very good. We had breakfast at the hotel a couple of times and the variety was very good. We enjoyed a lovely dinner at the hotel restaurant and our meals were wonderful and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Overall we absolutely loved our stay at this hotel and we highly recommend it. We are looking forward to staying there again. We have stayed at many hotels at this one is the best by far and it will definitely be our go to hotel when we stay in Cairns.

We just spent two nights at the hotel on a quick visit to Cairns.The hotel has a lovely location right on the Marina with comfortable clean rooms and good facilities. The breakfast was good too.

Our rooms were not ready when we first arrived, which was after the hotel’s listed check-in time, so we had to wait awhile until we got into our room. We found there was very little storage space for clothes with only a couple of small drawers and some wardrobe space with a few hangers. This was OK for a couple of nights but a longer stay might have been more living out of a suitcase.

the room was lovely and spacious and clean. I was tired after all the tours I did so I ended up dining in the room and I found the menu to be very tasty. one caveat: there is a tour desk in the lobby however the terminal and dive shops and everything are just across the street. what is convenient is that you can book your tours from the lobby of the hotel however in hindsight I wished I had gone directly to the outfits across the street to make sure I got all the appropriate information. for example the woman at the hotel tour desk did not tell me that I needed a doctors note to do the intro diving reef tour because I take a mild medication and I had to scramble to get one while I was on the boat. she should have told me that. also I should have gone and gotten more detailed info on how the dive would work so that I would have a better time. I ended up having a very frazzled diving experience so booking that sort of tour would have been better at the actual tour desk.

just the tour desk situation with the doctors note thing was unfortunate. see note above.

Room was very clean and tidy. Housekeeping was amazing! Mai I think her name was, was very accomodating and lovely. Location was great it was within walking distance to everything we needed. We had a pool view which was good. It did get a little noisy throughout the day when kids were in the pool but that is to be expected.

I believe the manger could have been a little bit more available and helpful. To put that into context we had the pool deck collapse underneath us and there was no communication from the manager to see if anyone was alright or needed any assistance to get off the collapsed pool deck.

very nice and clean rooms, great location, good view of the sea. staff was friendly to provide access to the restaurant microwave to heat up some food.

the rooms were so far from the lifts, almost took 5 mins walk to get from room to reception. the buffet breakfast was ok, not much variety and same food almost every day. also, no barista coffee with breakfast. when you pay 430$ per day, you would expect the breakfast to be rather exceptional, also being in Cairns you would expect some of the tropical fruits would be available for breakfast, but nothing of that sort. microwaves in room would be great, but understand it could be a fire hazard. but most airbnbs have them these days, so you sort of expect them.

Fantastic location - loved the beautiful view that the room and spacious balcony provided…just glorious! Pool is a pleasant relaxing area, with adjacent bar providing nice, affordable drinks and food. Hotel staff provided pleasant and accommodating service 😊

Terribly dated, worn and dishevelled furniture and fittings in room - also - most evidently in Horizon club area. Horizon club was not an area we wanted to spend time in. Unacceptable for a 5* hotel to have such grubby looking chairs and furniture. Breakfast was underwhelming, so we chose not to go there for evening drinks.

The view was excellent and the room was a good size. The location was also very good - close to everything and in addition the staff were very helpful

A few things about the room. The shower was extremely noisy and the bathroom a bit dated - the shower over the bath for example. The Caroma WC has a concealed cistern and the buttons difficult to navigate: several pushes necessary. The overall room lighting was good but some strange decisions: why have such strongly lamped pendant fixtures over the beds?; why have such an elaborate wall light that looks like a post bracketed to the wall? and the "artwork" of the boats and wavy lines didn't work for me. There was one desk chair but as it is a recliner chair it was uncomfortable to use with the desk as it is too low. Perhaps dial down on the smell of the cleaning products in the lobby areas too.

Staff were so friendly. View from the room was wonderful. Aircon was quiet and comfortable. Great nights sleep in the bed. Breakfast was exceptional value for money! Perfect location to for bus tours and boat tours. Cocktail hour was perfect time to have a drink and enjoy the sunset. Staff even allowed me to take a glass of wine back to my room. Nothing was too much trouble for staff.

Pool was good but in need of an upgrade but kids loved it.

The hotel is conveniently located to all attractions and facilities needed for a stay in Cairns! Hotel rooms were recently renovated and lovely and comfortable! We were there with our 2 and 4 yo daughters and we had plenty of room! We had a garden room that opened up into the garden with close access to the pool! It was fantastic! The girls could explore the garden, chase geckos and play!! Loved the 3 pools, children's pool plus 2 adult pools were great!

Minimal shade in pool area! Especially children as pool could do with a shade sail or umbrella like the top smaller pool. And not much shade or enough lounges available around pool due to fellow guests reserving sun lounges all day with the hotel towels and not using them! Very frustrating when you have two children and you cannot find a spot to put your belongings for the quick swim and splash with your children! It is not monitored at all.
