Our hosts were A+ New owners had just taken over and Margaret was showing them the ropes so to speak. The curry aroma when I first went into the office was amazing. So much so I asked if they had a restaurant. That set the mood for a curry dinner. As there was no Indian takeaway pamphlets our host kindly downloaded a menu from a restaurant for us, which we appreciated so much. Fresh milk served in a milk jug was a great touch. Ordered breakfast, which arrived promptly with a joyful Good morning. Highly recommend, next time we are travelling through Mackay, we will definitely stay here. Thank you

The breakfast was delicious, eggs cooked exactly how I like them and the serving was very generous. It was delivered right on time. There are juices and snacks that you can buy in the room. The bed was a king and comfortable. The property was immaculately clean. The location is great, easy to get to Mount Pleasant Shops and back. Big flatscreen TV. Plenty of desk space for me to work. Car is right outside the door. The room was just a bit smaller than I like. Otherwise it was a nice comfortable stay.

It was a very nice motel in a good location on the way north from town. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we were very happy with the beds, linen and towels. Our dog was welcome and having a park across the street was great. We would certainly stay again.

I thought the staff were exceptionally friendly and very helpful. We had a camper trailer and was no issue yo help us with a parking spot. Rooms very clean. Would recommend this stay to anyone that had a dog or 2. Loved it.

Very welcoming lady at the front counter, she even offered to go to the shops and buy some things for us . The room was very clean and equipped with lots of things including a microwave we we’re very happy

The room was very clean and quite spacious, and even had a microwave. Comfortable bed. Lots of hot water in the shower. Owners were extremely kind and helpful.

I thought the highway noise would be a problem but the rooms are off the highway enough that it wasn't a problem.

I feel as if I have already responded to this request and the room was adequate but the large lounge seemed to be to us, superfluous and not necessary. Its removal would have provided more floor space and easier movement although it did provide a spot to store some of our gear.

It would have been nice to have had a bedside table on both sides of the bed. I guess one benefit was that my beautiful wife had to lean across me to store her glass of water on the table on my side of the bed!!!

I have stayed here a couple of times now. The hosts are so lovely and accommodating. Love that it's pet friendly, as it gives travellers an opportunity to have a proper rest so they don't risk driving fatigued.

CLEAN, CLEAN, CLEAN!!!!! Outstanding. Older units but comfortable. Beds were exceptional. The owners were obliging and very friendly. I booked off the cuff based on price because it was just one night. I was honestly amazed. I stay in motels all of the time for work purposes all over North Qld. This little old country motel by far exceeded my expectations and put some rather glamorous big city motels to shame. 10 STARS!!!!!!!

I loved it. Couldn't fault. It's definitely dated but who cares I want a clean and comfortable place to stay with good hot water and everything works and these guys produced.
