Toowoomba Motel & Events Centre

Under new management by Richard and Missy, who were quite friendly and helpful, and busy renovating and updating. Room was clean, airy with sliding door onto balcony. Nice continental breakfast provided in dining room with our booking: cereals, apple juice, tea and coffee, one milk choice, bread to toast, blueberry muffins. Richard recommended the Federal Hotel on James St, for dinner, which we enjoyed for our evening meal. :)

A little outdated but as I said, new management, so they are working on changes. Would have liked a lockable screen door as we don't like air-conditioning and fresh air at night is preferable to us. Left our concerns, although small, with a happy, bubbly and friendly receptionist. A pleasant two-night stay.

Located very close to the place we needed to go, free wifi, TV was easy to use and the curtains blocked put the sun which was perfect, we also had to at last minute take out infant son which they gladly allowed without issue which was amazing took the stress off.

The shower was a bit touchy so trying to get the temp right was tricky and I'm picky when it comes to mattress comfort which is no one's fault can't put the blame on the staff as everyone has different needs and preferences and unfortunately mine personal experience was that the mattress just wasn't right for me.

We loved this room compared to Room 25. Room 16 was more space and better amenities. Thanks.

When we first arrived we had a few insects like a light brown cockroach on my pillow and a spider black one on my daughters pillow... I didn't get to sleep straight away as my anxiety was triggered by the creep crawlies on the pillows. I figured that pest control was likely recently done as I could smell it in the cupboards and maybe why the bugs were crawling out of their hiding places. The next nights there was no issues.. So I wasn't too concerned.

The balcony was nice. The bathroom was well appointed and very clean. The beds were very comfortable. I liked being able to park right outside the room.

someone was playing music non stop till about 4am on the Saturday morning and it made restful sleep very difficult. I think the walls must be thin, or I have supersonic hearing! At about 7:30am a young couple a few doors down woke us up with their fighting.. swearing and arguing, but they settled down after about half an hour.

The room was exceptionally clean and enough room for 3 people. On arrival we arrived earlier than expected but that was no problem for the staff. When i informed the staff that we would be having another person staying 1 night I offered to pay the difference for this person however the staff member let me know that no additional charges would be made as we already had enough linen etc. This was very much welcomed.

From the staff to the service provided was all excellent. I usually stay at this motel as I love it there. Since the management change over its even better. My heater in the room was not heating up and just a call after 9pm someone came and fixed the setting up for me. Also I was given my breakfast in the basket on check in so I don't have to go downstairs to pick it up in the morning. I'm glad and very happy with the new management. See you guys in few days 😊 I'll be booking in with you every end of the month with my kids. Thank you for all you do 😊

The room was very large and great for a family of four. It was clean and well maintained despite being older. The facilities in the room were amazing for Motel with a stove, oven, full sized fridge and crockery and cutlery.

There was limited provision for breakfast options for special dietary requirements as notified on booking however we understood that the new owners were only insitu for a few weeks and had not established a process for accommodating this. There was one option on the generic breakfast offered.

Economical accomodation in good location. Staff were helpful and servicing of room was good. The breakfast provided was basic but free, so not complaining. Room although basic was clean and comfortable with a balcony that had a view of mountain range in distance. Free parking also provided. All in all, we had a comfortable and enjoyable stay whilst in the city of Toowoomba and would not hesitate in returning to same accomodation in future, and, or, recommending to other travellers. All was OK, we received what we expected and were happy.

The motel was at the top of the Toowoomba range and was close to town centre to see all the attractions. lovely green outlook from the balcony. undercover packing for cars. Barely saw staff. Breakfast was self serve in main building. Breakfast Could of been better with more options like juices, croissants ect. But good overal. Due to Covid had to be taken back to room to be eaten.

The balcony had a small table and one chair only. Two would of been much better. A small couch would have been good instead of having to sit on bed to watch tv. The room was good apart from that.
