Such a great hotel. The staff was really nice and friendly - from the receptionist during check-in to the greeting in the mornings for breakfast and the kitchen staff/cooks behind the kitchen counter. There was plenty of variation for breakfast, they even had gluten free options available and offered fresh cooking stations. It's located directly in the city which makes it easy and quick to get everywhere. The room was very spacious and upper standard. Would absolutely stay here again.

I couldn't quite get the air-conditioning to the right temperature; it was freezing when I entered the room and then during the mornings heated up so much that it was too hot, but that could have just been me.

I absolutely loved the rooms, the design and layout was fabulous. We had a poor sleeping experience as when we booked we got 2 double bed instead of a queen and a single, 2 adults one child, which was no fault of Crown Plaza it was our booking error which made it a bit uncomfortable. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The buffet was amazing.

The lifts were incredibly slow, this was painful. Laundry staff forgot my dry cleaning 2 days in a row, reception was very embarrassed and had to keep chasing. Vallet parking took longer then 30 minutes and was forgotten about.

We absolutely loved everything. The restaurant and bar were amazing.... professional and friendly staff, beautiful decor, delicious food. The rooms were beautifully fitted out and obviously a lot of thought had gone into the design, and the style was of a high standard. The beds were so so comfortable.

The shower drainage is clearly an issue, and others in our group also commented on this. Beautiful space though. We also noticed that the computer system in the bar seemed to be hard to use/learn and a lot of time was spent by staff on the computer when there were many people waiting to be served. One staff member was just sorting out cutlery, which wasn't a good look with so many people waiting.

The location is perfect, it is in the middle of everything. You can easily walk to shops. The room is very modern, and that remote control for the tv, lights and curtain. Toilet was amazing. Mainly, the hotel is very modern with impressive interior design. The buffet was great, food were great and the juicer was the best one.

I gave 4 stars for the staff. As mostly are friendly and helpful, however there were some who aren't. I remembered on our first morning breakfast, the spoons in the table were not clean (yuck) and the staff said he will replace it, however he forgot about it, and he also forgot our coffee. We observe him if he is busy for him to forget the dirty spoons and our coffee, but he is not. We ended up asking other staff. Other thing is that there is no parking on the site. The only option is vallet parking (which by the way, they did a good job). Since it is in the middle of the city, parking is reallt hard.

I travel a lot for work and I have fallen in love with the Crown Plaza, from the moment I walked in the door I felt like a million dollars. Very friendly and happy staff. The receptionist was very bubbly and welcoming. When I got up to the room I was amazed at the quality of everything and everything was electric, blinds and shutters that open as soon as you walk into the room and your greeted with a beautiful view of Hobart and the mountain. Adjustable air conditioner for comfort. The bed was my favourite part, a whole kings size bed to myself and it was so fluffy that it felt like I was sleeping on a cloud. In the morning I went down to have breakfast and I was greeted by the Barista and she walked me to my table and asked if I wanted a coffee, the level of service is 100% here. Breakfast was so good, I already know what I want to try next time I’m in town. The selection is astounding. I’ve seen buffet style breakfast but this is next level. The chef will very cook you eggs fresh however you like them. I think I have found my home away from home and considering I have a husband and 4 kids at home. Well it my holiday home. Thank you Crown, you have made yourself a customer for life.

That the food was so nice I came home a couple of Kilos heavier. Might have to consider using the gym next time I’m in town.

Location was great for us as we could walk around town easily. Breakfast had a big range but the results were not consistent...we were there for 7 nights and some mornings some items were overcooked/dry and other days it was good. The bed was comfortable and our room was a good size.

We would have liked a small night light in the bathroom because either if the 2 lights also lit up the bedroom, through the glass wall separating bedroom and bathroom...disturbing if someone needed to use the bathroom during the night.

Breakfast was excellent and the location was good for my local activities. The rooms and amenities were excellent and the staff professional. It was good value for money.

The policy of taking $100 a day for deposit is inequitable. The money being returned 8-10 days later is a poor process. It may be bank procedure or hotel policy, either way the hotel and bank profit by the process and it is inequitable for the customer. The hotel room was paid for in advance so the hotel already has interest on the booking even before I got there. When on extensive travelling, eg a month in Europe recently, this policy is difficult to monitor as you move from hotel to hotel and can create quite a dint on cash flow. The industry needs to fix this.

Central location. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

Valet parking. Nothing they can do about this but just keep in mind they require at least 30 mins notice to get your car each time you want to go out. I also found there was only a few spots out front to park when you came back everyday for the valet. I had to sometimes go around the block twice. Also one of the elevators were broken for the whole week and the hotel was so busy. It made getting up and down extra slow.

Breakfast could be more interesting In selecting some smoked meats, cheeses, salads, and change the bakery supplier, the Danish pastries were abysmal: Service staff wearing Doc Martins is not very well groomed at breakfast time.

I had to circle the hotel twice looking for a place to offload my bags and the $35.00 valet charge is bit of a hook for fist time visitors not knowing the city. No Bell Captain, having to carry bags in crowded lifts was a no-no—-You have the staff- but missed opportunities to make the hotel outstanding ——-

Staff were absolutely amazing. From valet to check in, club lounge etc ! Absolutely advise everyone to upgrade to club lounge! For extra $100. You get complimentary snacks and unlimited soft drink/tea cofee etc the whole day 5-7 you get complimentary beer and wines/canopees and access to a hot breakfast buffet on both level of the hotel (club lounge & main dinning area) Ps more food option in main area, how ever less ppl and quiet private in club lounge) overall everything was amazing SUPPPPPER CLEAN !!!!!!! Cannot recommend this hotel enough! Will return !

Not a big issue, but just a note if you are looking for the valet parking make sure to park right out front of the hotel and head directly inside to one of the ground floor staff and they’ll take care of everything for ! Luggage was in the room with in 10 min of us arriving and checking .
