The Launceston Sebel is perfectly located, easy walk to town and the Seaport with handy parking. My apartment was roomy, spotlessly clean, quiet, warm and airy with a balcony. A lounge and small kitchenette with toaster, kettle, microwave, sink and fridge made having a quick snack or breakfast easy. After an initial problem with a lumpy bed, I was moved with no fuss, to another room which was wonderful. The staff are delightful, the restaurant where I had breakfast was very good with great coffee. I'm a regular to Launceston and will only stay at the Sebel from now on.

Nothing, I can't fault it.

Car parking arrangements were very poor. On several occasions during my visit there were no available parking spaces, necessitating my having to park in the hotel’s loading zone. I understood that no parking permits in excess of the number of available spaces were issued. Clearly, there were at many times more cars parked than permits issued. Another problem is that the spaces are all very narrow - perhaps because cars are now often bigger?

The hotel is well located near both the CBD as well as a short walk from the waterfront. The rooms have plenty of room as well as a laundry in the unit which is very handy when travelling. Overall we enjoyed our stay as the restaurant staff were very friendly as well with a great breakfast.

Luggage store would have been very helpful in our case as we were travelling and returning for another night later that week. Some of the lighting in the hallways weren't turned on during our stay.

Friendly and helpful staff, beautiful tasty food for Dinner and Breakfast at the restaurant, comfortable room, location is great.. Great that parking supplied even though for a fee .Lovely night away 😊

If have to make one dislike ….Slight musty, stale smell in room when entering. Possible a water leak or overflow guessing on wet appearance on carpet around skirting, however not unbearable.

Great location - we walked to major tourist destinations including doing the historic walk on Cameron St (From Victoria to Albert). The unit is spacious for our party of 3 adults. Within the unit are washer, dryer, dishwasher etc. The unit is clean. The bedroom is separated from the living area by a sliding door that has no lock. It has a king bed with firm mattress. The 3rd adult slept in a roll-away bed in the sitting area. The hotel is well maintained. It has a small gym that is open 24/7. Paid parking is in the basement of the hotel.

The hotel wifi is weak. We had to resort to using our Telco's paid internet.

Friendly staff greeted me on arrival and made sure I was looked after with parking. Even though there was parking on site they suggested parking in the street (outside of meter hours on the weekend). The rooms were spacious, the bedding very comfy and the bathroom quite good. Even though I wasn't a regular customer, reception upgraded my room on arrival.

I did not have enough time to enjoy the restaurant - a longer stay is needed next time. My room was the furthest from the lift; however, I can't complain as it was nice, quiet, and an upgrade!

The Sebel was the perfect starting point for our walk on The Bay of Fires with pick-up from the front door. The hotel restaurant is excellent offering a mixture of both western and Asian cuisines, a must try for visitors. Easy walking distance to the centre of the CBD.

Our only issue was with the paid parking availability for guests. It would seem that the area available already has many spaces reserved for other users and given the size of the hotel, there seemed to be too few spots available for guests.

I loved the room layout and location of the accommodation; I also liked the bar/cafe bluestone that is located in the accommodation. The hotel was very clean and the staff at the front desk very friendly.

There is not enough parking for all the guests in the hotel, I had to leave my car on the street down the road which meant that I needed to completely empty all the Christmas shopping we had done that day.

The Sebel rooms are fantastic: spacious and have washing machines which make it the perfect place to get sorted at the end of a trip. Enough space to ensure that the whole family are comfortable and not tripping over each other. Quiet at night and good blackout blinds. Easy to check in.

There was one time where we returned and we could not get parking (which we are paying for) and we were told by the staff to just get parking on the street (which would mean paying for again!). Bedding configuration was not as we had requested in our original booking - but the staff were great and fixed that up very quickly.

Good location near the waterfront and short walk into the city centre Spa bath was good. Shower, room and beds were nice and clean The restaurant food is divine but on the expensive side Onsite parking great

The hotel is generally tired and oldish. Gym facility was adequate for training but old and small with no windows. Room service options limited. Would be great to be able to order the restaurant menu for room service. If we had to stay here again we would but otherwise would look for a newer hotel
