Central Springs Inn

Great location with lovely garden areas to sit out and enjoy the weather. Very peaceful and relaxing place to stay. Good sized room in the heritage building, very comfortable bed. We didn’t use the fireplace as the weather was so good, but it’s a nice feature and would be great to use in cooler weather. We had a cooked breakfast which was excellent and great value for money no need to go elsewhere-even the coffee was good!

We loved the cozy room. Lots of nice lamps which gave the room a lovely ambience. The location was fantastic. Everything we needed was right on our doorstep. We booked this particular room because we wanted the spa bath and it lived up to our expectations. If you do the same - bring your own bath salts like we did (thanks, Chemist Warehouse!) as the ones in Daylesford are very expensive!

In the bathroom there was a light that automatically turned itself after a very short time. Great for environmental reasons but not so great when it's too far too keep pressing on when you're in the spa bath. Having to keep getting out to put this on was annoying. Wouldn't have minded a stick so we could stay in the bath and poke the light back on! hahah! No vegan breakfast options but it was no problem as we found plenty while out and about in Daylesford.

Good size room. Comfortable bed. Great location. Friendly manager. Nice biscuits. Drying rack for towel. Nice grounds. We didn't have breakfast there but there is a nice breakfast room.

Pillows might need replacing. Shower head and water pressure could be improved. Breakfast stops at 9.30am which is pretty early for weekends. The heater/ air-conditioner has a bright display that adds too much light to the room at night. (But I'm a light sleeper and it probably doesn't bother most people).

The staff were lovely the breakfast was really nice I wouldn't go anywhere else we only had it on last day we where there for 3 nights 14 to 16th October going for 2 but stayed an extra day you can have a really good English breakfast or a lovely continental the choice was very good and the only place that serves proper bacon not smoked or streaky everywhere in Dylesfords cafes all sold streaky smoked bacon if you are staying here don't go anywhere else for breakfast very reasonable price It was really cold weather and our bed had separate electric blankets so if your partner didn't want theirs on they didn't have to it was heaven very quiet but so near every where the best pub to Go to is the Royal Dylesford Hotel for Sunday lunch omg it was mmm so tasty and a generous serving lovely staff so friendly can't accommodate you enough best pub for a Guinness Visit sailors falls and Trenham town is quaint we went when the floods happened so we couldn't go to all the falls The lake in Dylesford is a good visit the history is good visit the Convent that was good $10 each to enter try their scones with cream and jam tasty The larder cafe is really good but very busy they made the best Pumpkin soup with ginger only a small amount and a touch of curry it was delicious 😋 Dylesford is a place I would recommend to anyone gets cold at night so bring warm clothes

Surprised by how the carpet didn't get cleaned it wasn't even hoovered when we arrived and the cleaners came in everyday considering everything else was great here so only a small negative comment sorry but I do notice these things

The property was quaint and had a gorgeous vintage appeal, surrounded by a well manicured garden. Our room was a generous size and everything was very clean and tidy. The Lady and Gent who I assume own the property were so lovely, kind and accommodating. We had the cooked breakfast which was served in the dining area, let me tell you it was delicious! Reasonably priced too! We really did have a wonderful stay. We will be returning for a second visit!

I thought it was great value for money and can’t complain about anything.

Excellent location, walking distance to all the nice cafes and restaurants. Check-in was quick and easy and we were able to check in earlier which was wonderful. The staff are incredibly nice and make you feel very welcome. The room was super clean and comfortable. Great spa in the bathroom. The electric blankets on the bed were a nice addition to the cold nights.

This place was just a walking distance from the city centre where you can find many restaurants & even a Coles. A quiet, peaceful location. Staff was amazingly friendly, always willing to help & kind. The rooms are very cosy & clean. Nice soft beds and pillows. Everything you need for a relaxing stay is there. Daylesford is a nice country town where everyone welcomes you with a genuine smile. Me & my son enjoyed our stay at Central Springs Inn & we'll see you again.

We love Daylesford anyway and found the Central Springs Motel to be just a short stroll to historic Vincent Street. The property itself is set back from busy Howe Street. We chose a king bed spa suite; equally could have chosen the historic heritage rooms. Our room was large with a TV on the wall, king-size bed and additional single bed. The bed was very comfortable, as was an adjoining settee. Tried the spa, next time would probably get a room with standard shower. Spa needed lots of water in a town where water restrictions are current. Also had a continental breakfast on one morning. A little pricey at $15 each but it filled the gap. Overall, would recommend this property for a short stay.

No security chain on the door, locking is just a simple push on the lock. Concerned me at night so pushed a chair against the wall. Garden is a little bit of a tangle away from the rooms. There is a 'shortcut' to the street, welcome as it saves steps but takes you past builders debris and a row of smelly bins. Might be better to not have it.

Loved the area the motel covered, spacious grounds and gardens. location was great within walking distance of town centre, eating places and surrounds. Rooms were very roomy and the owners were lovely, very hospitable, even talked us in to staying an extra night…Breakfast was great, good valve for money and the coffee was great. would definitely recommend and will be back to stay again.

There wasn’t anything to dislike, maybe a small microwave in the room would be a great addition.

Perhaps it was the timing of the visit, the fact that I was sharing it with my parents visiting, but the whole experience of staying briefly at the the hotel was excellent. I like the discrete and warm hospitality of the manager, the closeness to the centre and the fact that it was heritage listed. The room was very comfortable. A great deal overall.
