Great location, room set up was good for the 4 of us. Staff helpful.

Sadly, the reason we were at the hotel was to watch the last weekend/grand final of the Netball World Cup being played in South Africa. We were hoping to mirror our own accounts onto the TV but it wasn't enabled that way. The Foxtel channels that were available unfortunatly weren't the ones that were showing the matches. We did overcome this but it was a quite stressful and having spent a lot of money for this experience, we were a little concerned that it wasn't going to work.

Your reception staff went above and beyond and made the experience very enjoyable. I’d advised of some family special occasions and was provided birthday and Mother’s Day finishing touches as well as exceptional service and attention to our needs with entry exit facilities etc. Extra help with extended checkout and parking to have last day activities was given by supreme service delivery and made the whole experience of a city getaway feel easy friendly and no fuss. Loved the pool and sauna Request for high up room with view was delivered despite a busy weekend and last minute booking. Every hope for our weekend was exceeded by the above help and support of your staff.

Your hotel is sort of hard to find The breakfast spread we couldn’t access as the hotel didn’t answer room service after hours. When we saw it the next day we chose not to pay the added price to go. Probably would have been prepared to pay more for a better spread with a view, say in the conference room rather than traffic view and limited food.

The staff were so friendly and the location was fantastic. The pool area was great and we thoroughly enjoyed breakfast. We were also thankful that we could park our car there in a safe place. Overall it was really nice.

There wasn't much not to like. We did have an issue with our key and couldn't get the elevator to work. A male cleaner tutted at us, swiped his card, hit the button and stormed off. We said thank you but he ignored us, it was quite rude especially as it was not our fault. I had the card fixed and told reception and later we were given a bottle of wine and some cookies as an apology. It was not necessary for them to do that as everyone has bad days but the acknowledgement was really appreciated :-)

The staff were exceptional. The preparation and added details in the rooms for those attending the Taylor Swift concert did not go unnoticed. Kristal on reception was a delight and is an asset to the front desk.

Although the room was great to accomodate a party of 3 sadly as it was at the back of the building, and boxed in by other walls, it lacked any natural light. Not at all like the photos on the listing. However a friend booked the same room which looked just like the photos - which was much a much bigger space and street facing with plenty of light/windows. The room also had a strange sewage/plumbing smell from time to time - which was evident as soon as we checked in.

Location was excellent, close to Southbank, city and really good eateries. Good size rooms with lovely fresh linen and towels. Great having a sitting room and kitchen was well equipped for a short-term stay, Staff were helpful and friendly.

Rooms and carpet smelt a bit, when you entered into the apartment. This could be easily fixed by shampooing; surface wise they looked clean. Stepping in and out of bath/shower could be a problem as bath if you are not agile as it was quite a high step up.

Loved breakfast and staff were very responsive when I requested gluten free bread - nothing was too much trouble We were also spoiled with a bottle of wine and chocolate when I told reception it was our wedding anniversary which was a lovely gesture so highly recommend it and you have wonderful staff who do you proud

Can’t think of any real negatives unless not being able to have a drink in the bar of an evening before heading out but we did that in our room and there are so many options in Southbank it wasn’t an issue and would definitely stay again

We loved the location, and the staff were friendly. The pool and spa are great, and the apartment had everything we needed.

We booked the cheapest apartment, which I wouldn't book again. The view from the windows looked out into 3 cement walls and other apartments, which made the apartment quite dark. We have stayed here before in a two bedroom apartment with a view of the Arts Centre Spire so I know there are great views. Having said that, you get what you pay for, and we will definitely stay again and pay the little extra for an apartment in a different part of the building with windows with a better view.

Location was awesome. Unit were such a good size for a family. Plenty of space, didn’t feel like you were on top of each other. Plenty of cooking utensils so you had the option to cook there not spend money on takeout out. Security at the entry door at night so felt really safe. 😊

The only thing i picked up on was the cleanliness of the unit. All the bedding and towels were spotless but i found lolly rappers on the ground in the kids room when i first walked it. And dirty finger prints and dust on the walls. It just needs a really good wipe down and vacuum before each family.

Our premium corner 2br apartment had a problem with air-conditioning. The staff called us to let us know and offered an alternative and some bonuses. We appreciated their care.

Only one lift was working, and I waited for 20 minutes for the lift in the hot carpark. It was Melbourne's heat wave long weekend, so they were full and under pressure. The staff were really doing their best under trying conditions, and we appreciatedtheir efforts. Mantra really need to up their maintenance so their overworked staff can present their hotel with confidence and pride.

Good location but realised when I got home that it was noisy. The room was comfortable and air con easy to manage. Bed was fine. I did sleep when I partially pulled the curtains to stop the light pollution from the Herald Sun building.

Shower over the bath. A bit hard for older and disabled people to use and we didn't. I should have requested a disabled unit but not sure if you have them. It would have been good if the plates were warmed as the food gets cold very quickly. I'm not sure if the food retains the heat with the current heating arrangements. The jars holding the serving spoons and forks had water in them, assumed the water to be cool; water got into the food from the spoons and forks. Are any other arrangements possible to manage the food regulations?
