The Langham Melbourne

. The proximity to Southgate Shopping Center gave us access to very good food (Japanese, Chinese, seafood) just a few steps away (indeed without actually leaving the hotel complex)! The location was perfect for museums and garden and close to the cathedral and the train station. and river tours. The pedestrian bridge across the river was easy and fun to cross. The room is spacious, and the bed and pillows really comfortable, and the location is quite simply ideal as was the river view from our window. The hotel is truly elegant without in any way being gaudy. We travel a lot and this hotel sets a standard of excellence that few hotels match and none exceed.

Everything was great; we would come back here in a flash if we could..

Our beautiful suite overlooked the Yarra and the city. We walked across a little bridge, toured the Laneways and bars, walked to the John Cain Arena for a concert and then walked back to the Langham, stopping for pizza on the way and then enjoying the incredible city views from our balcony over a bottle of wine at midnight. From our balcony we could hear live music but as soon as we closed the door the room was completely silent. In the morning we slept in and then had brekky in bed (room service) and a bubble bath before checking out.

The only thing we didn't like was leaving! We would have stayed forever if we could.

Exceptional all round. I will be back. Very kind pleasant staff. Food exceptional. Room very comfortable.

The shower door to room 2025 does not close properly. Snack bar could be replenished everyday and then charged to customer on checkout. I had to go down to 7 eleven. Housekeeping could be done sooner. on 2 occasions was done after 17H00. Movies on TV could be more of a variety. Monitors on treadmill and bicycles at fitness center had no signal. Pity windows did not open. i would have preferred fresh air over air con. Otherwise an excellent hotel and I will be back, for an executive suite. Thank you :)

This hotel was fantastic from start finish, the staff were impeccable from when we arrived in the doors until leaving. We paid for valet parking which was exceptional, great value and great service. Nothing was a hassle for staff, the housekeeping was great room was cleaned everyday and provided fresh waters (nice little extra). The drink service by the pool was easy and friendly. Everyone we encounted during our stay went above and beyond to ensure our needs and wants were met. Well beyond expectations.

The bed wasn’t the comfiest (however staff did provide extra pillows on request). The furniture and room is a tad outdated in its style, needs a refurbishment on the interior none the less was still a gorgeous hotel.

Fabulous hotel, beautiful inside. Amazing views and situation. An air of luxury when you walk through the doors, just getting to those doors not good. I would definitely stay there again.

No transparency at all with pricing. A fridge full of drinks and snacks, nothing to say if they were complimentary or how much things cost. I paid 7 dollars for a 2 dollar bar of chocolate. No information on the restaurant (again pricing/ menu). No information about the hotel apart from a few minutes on the TV screen. Housekeeping could have been a little better.

Generally a wonderful room, great view, wonderful staff and a great night's sleep. I just love the place and the restaurants near the hotel.

I will say that the other side of the Yarra, being the Flinders St side, is very dinghy and feels unsafe. Lots of homeless, beggars and generally not at all like the other side. It's been a few years since I've been in the city at night and it's changes a lot since before Covid. My wife was accosted for money inside the Woolies across road from Flinders St Station, when she said she had none, the man refused to move on and questioned her until I told him to bugger off. Melbourne is different.

Great location!. The staff at the hotel were always helpful and friendly. The room (King Deluxe) was a good size, and it was beautifully furnished and very welcoming. The bed was very comfortable, and the views across the river to the city were superb. Easy access to the city and to commute to other parts of Melbourne, via tram, train and taxi.

The lounge area to relax or for pre-dinner drinks/cocktails could be improved. There really isn't a lounge area for relaxing or for this purpose, as the majority of the floor is set up for high tea. The only area is very small where you sit at small tables and hardback (dining) chairs. If you are planning to meet friends for a predinner drink before heading out for dinner, suggest you look for an alternative venue.

the location was perfect for our break within easy reach to the arts centre, city centre, Southbank restaurants and public transport.The Langham was easy to get to with an easy drive of the Westgate freeway to leave our car with the valet staff. The staff were amazing and always helpful going beyond our expectations to make our stay more enjoyable. Breakfast was included in our package and was perfect with a wide selection of beautifully prepared food. the rooms were very nicely presented with comfortable king size bed and breath taking views over the Yarra and the City.

Everything ! Location, staff, comfort - Staff are extremely nice and friendly, check in and check out a breeze. Room is very comfortable, love the amenities, from toiletries to the coffee machine, teas and coffees. Bed and pillows also very comfortable, there is nothing to fault. I left my electric toothbrush behind unfortunately, rang them this morning and spoke to a very friendly man who said they will speak to housekeeping and get back to me, fingers crossed !

Absolutely nothing. I would have liked to try the buffet breakfast (I have heard that it is wonderful) and checked out the bar but I was strapped for time as my flight was delayed.

Bed and room were perfect. Also the staff were very helpful especially when I requested an extra blanket on the first night. Just wondering why The Langham no longer has bathrobes as this would have been appreciated!

Timing of the room make up on second day. Left room at 7:30am and returned at 3:00 and still was not made up. Food tray from previous night was therefore in room for the entire day. Also, when room was made up on the third day, had obvious food rubbish in a paper bag near kettle that was not removed. Corridor had a number of food trays outside doors and a bundle of towels outside one door for almost the entire day. Not a good look when walking to your room.
