Steve was an amazing and helpful host, we had two nights booked however Booking.com double booked us on the first night. Steve was extremely helpful in helping us find alternative accommodation. Cannot recommend Steve as a host more - Edge of the Forest is perfectly situated to experience Margaret River, providing a modern and comfortable place to stay.
The only downside came from Booking.com in double booking us on the first night. This was stressful as we'd just returned from a wine tour and were unable to drive. Steve was extremely helpful even dropping us off at alternative accommodation.

The room was clean and had everything it said it had! The bed was huge and comfortable. The bathroom was clean and had the biggest, softest towels ever. We loved our little outdoor setting. The Mgr was friendly and personable. He was happy to share local advice. There was a lovely pub just down the lane we had dinner at. The EOTF is within walking distance from the town centre and quite a beautiful walk at that. We were warned about the possums, but didn't hear or see any. The gardens are beautiful. Thanks for having us! Cheers.
There is 1 tiny thing I didn't like... nothing that detracted from our stay. Those crisp starched white sheets. I understand why they are used but this has to be the first time in a long time we've stayed somewhere with them. They are so noisy in the middle of the night!!

Motel set in pleasant gardens surrounded by wildlife and forest with easy access to walks along Margaret River. A short walk to the local brewery/bar/eatery and about 10-15 mins into the centre of Margaret River. The owner, Steve, couldn't have been more helpful and friendly providing very helpful suggestions as to where to visit in the area, together with useful maps. Room had all we needed, was very clean and a good size. Altogether a very enjoyable stay.
All good.

The motel is very conveniently located just outside the main strip of shops in Margaret River town with several relaxing forest walks right on your doorstep. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We met Steve on checking in who went above and beyond giving us great recommendations for what to see, options for great food and safety information. We also loved that the motel is run to be as environmentally friendly as possible.

Rooms were spacious, clean and facilities great. The resident doggo was a wonderful surprise and we loved all the pats we got to give her. She was super well behaved though and if someone didn't like dogs she would leave them alone. Steve was lovely and very helpful. There was a brewery about 100m down a back path that had wonderful food. Even though it was so close we didn't hear any noise from it and we were in the closest rooms to it. Would stay again and highly recommend for anyone visiting the area.
We should have stayed longer!

Excellent location close to the main strip but far enough away to enjoy the peace and quiet. Loved the room keypad entry system - you don't have to worry about keys. Being so close to the forest you might get visits from the friendly locals. Saw some amazing lizards out the back of theproperty. There's a dirt trail that you can follow down to the local eatery and drinking hole... that is a must visit
Being so close to the forest you might get visits from the friendly locals - if you're not expecting nocturnal visits it can be a bit daunting to hear a possum on the roof.

Very clean and comfortable. Owner, Steve, is a great guy - helpful and friendly. He even does your dishes! Beautiful grounds. Very close in - can walk safely to town and along the river and only a very short distance from pub/brewery with great food and gorgeous bakery.
Nothing. All good. Front units are a little closer to the road but they have great soundproofing and you don’t notice it.

Good value, friendly and helpful owner (and dog!) and the garden (which leads out to the forest and it's lovely walks) was a bonus. The motel was a short walk to the pub next door (which serves food) and a few minutes further into the main town, where there are lots of excellent shops, restaurants and bars.
The room had a microwave and fridge, so you could prep basic food - but we needed a bit more crockery/cutlery, as we didn't have facilities to wash cups etc. (it was left out each morning and returned clean).

Bed was so very comfortable. TV worked well and facilities were good.
The room that we got was nearest the highway, and on rare times, it was noisy. However, we found, on our last day there, that the window was not shut. As the curtains were drawn most times, we did not realize that the window was left open, and that might have accounted for the noise.

The location is excellent for walking in the forest, but also close enough to town to be able to walk in to restaurants. The room was big and clean, with an excellent shower and enough kitchen facilities for making breakfast and heating/eating takeaway. Friendly and knowledgeable host. Keypad entry for room very usable. We loved sitting on the verandah watching the birds.
Location is close to a main road which gives some noise, but this was no problem with the windows closed.
