The location of the hotel is excellent, right on the beach and in the middle of an area with a huge choice of restaurants and entertainment. The service level is what you would expect at Hilton, so basically everything is perfect. There are 2 swimming pools (one on the roof terrace), in case one does not wish to go to the beach. This is the highest rise building in the area, so the view is superb. Room size is large. Good breakfast buffet and bars.

Nothing, everything was fine. The building itself is not new, but generally very well maintained. Don't expect fancy modern things. Air conditioning was a bit noisy, but not to the point to prevent sleeping. The security in the area around the hotel requires that one keeps his eyes open and some level of situation awareness after dark, but this is what Copacabana is and is not the hotel fault.

The staff is very friendly and helpful they speak english as a second language which is very convenient for tourists who don't speak Portuguese, I literally felt very satisfied expressing myself in english for first time during my whole vacation time in Brasil. If you are a gold member you get special treatment in vip rooms with exclusive amenities which make you feel a very special vip guest. Overall, the facilities are amazing, the pool at the roof top is the best pool I've ever been with a beautiful view. The food at the breakfast saloon is delicious with a huge variety of options, it has a chef in there making fresh omelets and tapiocas with the ingredients that you select, how amazing is that? The happy hour from the vip lounge for gold members was one my best moments during my stayings in this hotel, it has a buffet of food, desserts and alcoholic drinks, everything was delicious as simple as that. The room is perfect, very cozy and the bed is super confy and huge, the view from window is wonderful, if you are lucky to get a room on the 34th floor or upper you can see the christ from the window. You can also have the chance to check in aerlier or checkout later depending on the availability of that day. On my both stayings i checked out the first time at 3 pm and the second one at 5:30 pm and even after the check out i was able to use all the facilities in the hotel during the rest of the day because of my flight at 10 pm. Definitely the best option for people who can afford staying in this spectacular hotel, it is a little expensive compared to the different options in Copacabana but it worths every single penny.

The stay in the hotel was lovely. The hotel's location was opposite the Copacabana beach.. However, we were not bothered at all.. The room was directly facing the beach. It was a really great view.. The hotel's tour desk service was very helpful.. The clerk at the desk recommended us to Restaurant near the hotel was delicious and wonderful

The room was huge, with a big comfy bed and a great view. Bathroom was also a great size! The location was perfect, right by Copacabana beach. The rooftop area was lovely with a great view. I would like to say a special thank you to the night receptionists and the guest manager as they helped me when I had my phone stolen and went above and beyond to assist me.

The restaurant staff were very rude, kept me waiting and did not provide the service that I would expect at this hotel. I was not told that there was a Hilton stand on the beach that provided deckchairs and umbrellas and for both days I stayed; I rented them from a random stall. I only found out when passing the beach after check out that there is this service provided. it would be nice to have been informed.

My teen daughter would have happily spent the 5 days on the rooftop area. Similarly breakfast comes with a great view. Nice that they have chairs and umbrellas on the beach. In general, super well placed. If you have an hour to blow, go up to the fort near at the end of the beach. Path starts on the right of the military base. I saw a million marmosets (sp?-tiny monkeys) there. If you want to go to a small local restaurant, Galeto Sal's is just a few minutes walk. We can second Anthony Bordain's recommendation of it.

I wish I could not have heard the elevators move around in the room. I did not see towels at the beach, bring your own down. The window could have been cleaner.

Location: It's perfectly located for walking/running along both Copacabana beach and onwards to Ipanema (+3km away). It was easy to get ubers to/from the hotel and there is a multitude of shops, pharmacies and restaurants a few steps away. Hotel: One of the reasons we booked is the beautiful rooftop terrace & pool, which didn't disappoint. The views are phenomenal (you won't get a close, higher view of Copacabana anywhere except the top of Sugarloaf Mountain) and you can see the statue of Christ The Redeemer as well. Room: We booked a King Oceanview of Copacabana (1415 on the 14th floor) with amazing views as described of the beach. The room was large enough for two people with space for luggage storage, ample cupboard space, and a small desk for working. There is also a small table with another chair which we found useful for in room-dining. Although we were close to the elevators we did not hear them while sleeping. The soundproof windows were good (note: they do not remove noise 100%) and are sufficient for a very good night's sleep. We went to bed before 11pm and could hear the slight hum of traffic in the background and a little music on occasion, but nothing loud enough to bother or interrupt sleep. My partner is a light sleeper and I am a heavy sleeper; neither of us had issues despite him being concerned initially as to the possible noise. Food & Drinks: We enjoyed delicious cocktails, as well as lunch and dinner in their restaurants. The Seafood Risotto was top-class and we had a very good pizza delivered to our room one evening too. The highlight is certainly the extensive breakfast buffet with everything and anything from fresh fruit (including a juicer), pastries/cakes, cheese and meats, to hot items like eggs, omelettes to order and all the trimmings. Breakfast is open till 10:30am which is great for a lie in.

Nothing, it was fantastic.

I had a wonderful time at the Hilton Rio. I choose if because of its location and price/value. Although the hotel can feel a bit tired somehow, as I expected, it features great facilities. They gave me a room on the last floor which a gorgeous view over Copabana beach. The breakfast was nice and I enjoyed a lot the DYI cold press juice maker! I felt very safe as there was many security towards the entrance, however; They let me have exterior guests without much problems, just filling an autorisation along with their ID. ( many hotel don't allow visitor here - i didn't know )The staff was very friendly; so I'm happy to recommand the hotel. it is a good balance between confort, price and value !

The hotel would need some modernisation at some point.

Service is great as per Hilton standards. I arrived at 5.30am off a red-eye and staff were kind enought to let me check in early as well as facilitate a room move at my request. The hotel also has a great view of the curve of Copacana beach if you book an ocean/copa view and are above floor 20. As in the quieter Leme end of the beach- that particular strip of Copa seems safer. Warning- it will take at least 40minutes to stroll the whole stretch of Copa. Fantastic breakfast in a beautiful seaview restaurant.

The hotel is an older building- so you see that in the carpet, the older fixtures, bathrooms etc. Many of the rooms seem to have had modern makeovers but just do bear in mind that the hotel is on the older side

the breakfast is very good, the view is nice, the location is excellent, the roof view is excellent

To get a good view you need to be in the floor 20 and above (next buildings will block the view), you need to ask the hotel to give you high floor when you arrive!!, it can not be booked in advance!! (which side is better it depend on what view you want to see, Christ the redeemer back side, ocean front side (partially right side), Copacabana right side, the left side i think Sugarloaf Mountain. the hotel reception was not helpful and cooperating with me when i asked for room change, it took 3 days and after that i get the 20 floor! out of 37 floor, Trust me when I say this, it worth politely fighting with them until you get the a high floor, the view is worth it!

Good atmosphere in all areas of hotel. Helpful and friendly staff. Well stocked breakfast buffet, fresh and delicious food. Concierge service helped many times.

Concierge offers set list of tours - I would have liked to see more such as: Museums and places of worship. One place I went on tour was the Jardim Botanico. I would have liked to take a tour there with someone who had more knowledge of the plants and place than what was offered by the company on the hotel concierge listing. They had general info only. Also, being a senior citizen and female, I was intimidated about walking outside alone. I would have liked to have the option of getting an escort, even if I had to pay them. Personal safety was a big unknown for me, while on my visit to Rio.
