This place is godly! We (my girlfriend and I) are currently backpacking SE Asia and thought we deserved two nights of 5-star treatment after some pretty poor place over our travels. This was exactly what we needed. EVERYTHING and I mean everything was so perfect. We got an upgrade to one of the suites, which was one of the best hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. The bathroom is insane. The smells, the products, the bed, the service, I cannot criticise anything. The breakfast is out of this world and completely unexpected for SE Asia. It's included in the price of the room and they encourage you to order as much you can. We had a Massage which was perfect. The afternoon tea is immaculate. But, the best thing of all was the staff. We were treated like King and Queen, and after travelling non-stop for a while now, it was amazing to literally do nothing for a couple of days. A special shout out to Sohim who is the best hotel staff member I have ever had. Want a tuk tuk, he's sorting it, ask him question, he'll have an answer, literally anything. When we are in Siem Reap again, we will be coming back to this hotel!

We were only there for 2 nights!!!

Mane History Lovers is an excellent boutique hotel. The hotel has real character and charm with antiques and art throughout the property. The rooms are large and comfortable. The staff are simply superb. Without exception, they were polite, helpful and professional but without being overbearing. The pick up and drop off service for the airport was faultless with arrival at the hotel incredibly smooth. The food was excellent. The Asian and Cambodian dishes were of the highest quality with the red curry being the stand out dish. The cocktails are also amazing! We also had a very relaxing massage at the spa. Certainly one of the best we have had anywhere. It is a great little facility.

We have no criticism of the hotel but just a word of warning for anyone getting a ‘visa on arrival’ at Siem Reap airport. The counter will only accept pristine US Dollars if you are paying in cash. They rejected some slightly ripped notes we presented. Fortunately, we had enough cash that was pristine!

This hotel is a little oasis just off the main road in Siem Reap. It is surprisingly tranquil. The property itself is brilliantly decorated and well appointed with traditional, high quality furnishings from times now past which just add to the serenity of the property. The bedrooms are similarly well appointed and exceedingly comfortable and cool. To complement the high quality of the property itself, the staff are simply wonderful. We were fortunate to be looked after by Sophoeum and his colleagues. Nothing was too much trouble for any of them and Sophoeum was extremely courteous and professional. A real asset to the hotel.

This is the loveliest boutique hotel with the nicest staff. We stayed for four nights and Sophoeum and Anita were our personal curators for the visit. We felt like they looked after us as if we were family members. Having to not worry about transport was perfect. We paid a fee for the day and our personal Tuk Tuk driver stayed with us all day and had cold water and towels whenever we needed them. We did sunrise and sunset at the temples which were breathtaking. The hotel packed us some breakfast for our 6am start! The hotel is full of lovely antiques and the gardens are lush. The food was very good too. We are two fifty-something sisters and our experience was heaven on earth.

Unique style and character situated just a little outside the busiest area of the town. Some fantastic restaurants at the end of the road with a mix of styles. The staff were all amazing and couldn’t do enough for you.

Part of the charm was the older nature of the building, but little things like power sockets and USB connectors could be updated (not a complaint but Booking asked for a negative!!)

The hotel is not far from the busy road to Siem Reap but the location is very quiet. The food from the hotel restaurant is fabulous and there are other restaurants within walking distance that are also good - in particular, Haven. Everyone in the hotel was lovely. We were assisted by Nita, who was absolutely fabulous. The rooms were clean and attractive and the pool was nice.

The service and the rooms at this hotel are exceptional. The location is perfect. Close to centre but a quiet location. Anita and her team were the best hosts and looked after us extremely well. Complimentary massages. Free tuk tuks to the centre. Breakfast boxes when leaving for an early morning tour.

Nothing to say here

Great and friendly staff, always there to help, really going the extra mile - very helpful in organizing tours and excursions and local transport. Very nice setting with a lot of green and birds around.

The sanitary equipment is OK, but could benefit from modernisation

We were actually upgraded to the sister hotel Mane Hariharalaya. Like the ‘History Lovers’ hotel it was superb. The staff were absolutely amazing with the superstar being Many our personal butler.
