The Hotel on Pownal

We reserved 3 rooms for one night traveling with family. The hotel staff were very courteous and the rooms clean. We asked to be on the ground floor and they were able to accommodate us. There was music streaming in the room when you walked in which made it very welcoming and there were many outlets in the room for your devices. The breakfast was included in the reservation and it was excellent with more choices than a typical hotel breakfast. Even the coffee was good. We check out the day before Canada and the lobby was all decorated for the holiday. Overall it was an excellent place to stay.

The hot and cold continental breakfast was good. Nice selection of food. The staff were very friendly and even though the room was small, it was clean and bright. I really liked the special touches. They turned on the tv and had soft music playing when you entered the room, lamp on and crisp white sheets/comforter on the bed. There was enough phone/computer outlets. The location was within 3-5 min walking distance to pretty much everything.

We loved how beautifully maintained the property was. The room and washroom was just perfect and plenty of space in the closet for our jackets and luggages. My most favorite aspect of it all was definitely how kind the staff were. From greeting us everytime we walked by - Answering any and all questions we had about PEI - to just engaging with us in general, we just loved them. The breakfast was also pretty good - great selection of food options for all your dietary needs. Overally - this is an absolute gem of a stay in Charlottetown and we highly recommend it to everyone who visits! 🤍

Nothing at all!

We did not make it in time for breakfast so can't comment . The cleanliness of the room was really good. Beds were comfy . Shower pressure was good . Room was quiet .

Parking seemed a bit lacking but that could have been due to the Cavendish convert and more people were staying there. Room was quite cold as the we weren't able to get the heat mode working on the heat pump for a few hours ,however the staff at the front desk working the night shift provided us with a heater .

Hotel location was great, only one block away from Queen Street. Room was more than adequate and very clean. Hotel staff were great. Nice change to park car and be very close to the room.

Not much soundproofing from above room...could hear loud footsteps through the night. Fitness centre was a bit more modest than I'd have liked.

The location was great, walking distance to all restaurants and to the waterfront. We took advantage of not have daily housekeeping and instead getting vouchers to use at the local restaurants. I think that's a great idea

Breakfast was pretty plain. The first four days it was exactly the same each day. Then on the 5th day there were Hard Boiled eggs and another egg dish added. That was a welcome surprise. But truthfully we did not even know that a continental breakfast was to be included, so it was all good.,

Excellent location in centre of Charlottetown, within easy walking distance of everything. It had a laundry room for guests’ use which was very handy. You could help yourself to free teas and coffees from the breakfast area at any time.

Bathroom was very small.

The breakfast was perfect. We enjoyed the food and the breakfast room. When we left we forgot something in our room of value to us. We called the hotel and they shipped it to us without hesitation. Very grateful for their kindness.

We have no complaints at all.

Breakfast was good. Had hot and cold items. My daughter left her speaker behind. It took a couple of calls to them before they called us back that they found it. We really appreciated that but it did take a couple of calls.

Everything was good. Can’t think how things could have been better. Rooms were modern and up-to -date and the location was excellent.

Great location an easy walk to the main street, Victoria Row and lots of restaurants. The room was comfortable and easy to get to directly from the parking area. Our room was on the first floor so we didn't have to carry the luggage up to the second floor (wouldn't have been too bad), which was nice since we had an oversized bag!
