The location was perfect for anyone staying in Charlottetown, PEI, an easily walkable city. Water Suites is near just about everything you will need. There is no parking lot for the hotel, but all day parking on the streets is easy and usually no more than a block or two away. Fred is a wonderful host. In the photo below our suite was the top floor, five windows on the sunny side, two on the shaded side.

I used booking.com to make the reservation, but ended up paying $100 USD more for the room when it was charged to my card. Can't believe that the approximate cost when I booked the reservation and the actual cost when my card was charged could result in that much of a difference.

Wonderful location, walking distance to everything in the downtown core. Close to airport. The room is extremely spacious, comfy bed

I’m not if in the description of the suites it says they only have stairs, 5 flights to the top lol. Because it’s in downtown, if you are a light sleeper not for you. Super small shower. I wouldn’t let these things discourage you from renting it though. It is a really great room and location. Parking can be a pain on the weekends, have to park on the street! Make sure to pay the meter on weekdays, guaranteed to get a parking ticket. Only $20 though, reduced to $10 if you pay in 10 days. Weekends parking is free.

Excellent location! We were right in the heart of Charlottetown. Only a few blocks to a great ocean walk and multiple pubs and restaurants. Fred was very responsive, gave us some great tips on beaches/eating spots and was able to accommodate us getting into the unit a bit early. Very comfortable bed with a keurig/coffee and mini fridge. The large windows and higher ceilings made it feel very bright and cozy.

We lucked out with parking-free on weekends and holidays, but we always managed to find a spot within close walking distance. Yes, there were a lot of stairs to lug bags up, but they were very manageable.

This suite was amazing! Great view from two beautiful windows. Lots of natural light, good privacy blackout shades. Bed was super comfy. Layout terrific for a couple. Very clean. Lots a space to unpack. Location is top notch. Host was very responsive and nice.

Nothing really, other than you must be prepared to walk up to the 3rd floor (51 stairs) so this place is not for the mobile challenged... there are suites on the second floor so if mobility is a concern, talk to the property manager. They were very responsive for us.

The suite is exactly as in the photos. Very clean and comfortable. The room we were in had a bit of a view of the ocean. The water front is walking distance and there are many restaurants and pubs nearby. The host was fantastic as well helping accommodate our request to stay an extra night when we decided to extend our stay 1 more day. Highly recommend this property.

Caution there are stairs to get to the suites if stairs are a challenge.

Be aware rooms on the 3rd floor require 51 stairs to access - may be an issue for older guests and heavy luggage as there is no elevator. While knowing this in advance would not have prevented booking it would have been good to know the situation.

The Water Suites condo was perfect. As a family of 4, the location is excellent, the suite was very well stocked and impeccably clean, the beds were very comfortable, and there was lots of room to move. Fred was a fantastic host who offered excellent suggestions for where to go, restaurants, and beaches. Communication was excellent, and I would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic stay! Fred was accommodating with the check in time and extremely friendly, offering suggestions for things to do in the area. The suite itself is very spacious (extremely high ceilings), the furniture/facilities are either new or very well kept, and everything was immaculately clean. The location is smack dab in downtown Charlottetown, which is perfect for both walking around the city and for doing day trips along different coastal loops. Compared to nearby hotels/inns, this location felt like a steal for the price we got it at. Highly recommend.

Given it's downtown location, finding public parking is annoying but manageable. My family went on a summer weekend (peak tourist season, free parking) and managed to find spots by looping the side streets near the suite a few times. If you're looking for a more consistent parking space, consider Queen's Parkade, which is a ~10 minute walk away. Additionally, because of the inn's downtown location, it was noisy even late into the evening. Bring some ear plugs if you're sensitive!

Location was fantastic, downtown. We walked around the city, the parks, ate wonderful food and popped into many lovely bars and outdoor restaurants. We loved people watching from our windows. Fred, the only staff member that we met, was awesome and helped us bring suitcases upstairs, after helping my husband park. Fred also gave us great recommendations, was upbeat, always smiling and a truly charming host. The building is old, but very clean and had all the conveniences that we needed. Our room was big, bright and airy. The AC kept us cool. We also felt very safe at this location.

An elevator would have made it easier to bring the bags upstairs. But, my husband and Fred took care of that, so I can’t complain.

Fred is so friendly and welcoming. Extremely well maintained property. Beautiful, clean and spacious rooms in the heart of Charlottetown. The place is immaculate and the location could not be better!

This is not a negative thing but more of an FYI. There is no onsite parking and no place to park when checking in. This is not a big deal as you can just stop in front, unload luggage, then park car on surrounding streets. There is free and paid parking all around hotel and Fred kindly helped us find free parking within a block and helped with carrying luggage up the stairs.
