We loved our stay at this beautiful property. The hosts, Patrick and Christine, are so welcoming and helpful, The room and bathroom are spacious and well designed with a very comfortable bed and pillows. The view is amazing! We particularly enjoyed breakfast on the terrace, Patrick makes an excellent fresh fruit juice. The home is well situated for exploring the mountains and Patrick was very helpful with advice and information on local walks and activities. It is best to have a car when staying here as the walk from Les Houches is several kilometres uphill. It is lovely to stay in such peaceful surroundings yet easy to get to Chamonix and the mountains.

Absolutely superb! Patrick and Christine were perfect hosts and made us feel so welcome in their home. Stunning views from our very comfortable and modern room on the ground floor! Patrick supplied us with a beautiful breakfast each morning as well as advice on walks, activities and restaurants in the area. A relaxing location only 10-15mins drive from Chamonix. Would definitely recommend a stay at Chalet des grands bois and hope to be back soon!

This place is absolutely stunning - located on a hill, so you have beautiful view on the surroundings. The house is perfect - built in stone and wood, cozy and peaceful. The host - Mr Patrick is so kind and helpful! I hope we will can back soon. Seriously, this is top 5 places I have every been.

The owners are a lovely couple that are willing to help with anything you need. They also live in the house and they make sure breakfast and everything else is great for the guests ;) The house is just stunning, new, elegant, clean.. The room was big, even the bathroom was worth mentioning (huge rain shower). The views from the place are incredible, and for us it was worth the bit of extra drive from Chamonix to get there.

Nothing remarkable. Only to mention something, at the beginning it was a bit unclear for us which of the common areas could we use, specially after we found out that the owners use them, too. However we never disturbed each other so all fine :)

The chalet is a 5-star contemporary accommodation. It has a very unique private location with breathtaking views. Breakfast was fantastic. Owners of the property are very nice people. We wish we could stay longer there.

Location was perfect and picturesque. Car needed when minimal snow at base or a good 20 minute walk down and a challenging walk up, ski locker at Balmat sports near Pararion Lift.

Very tight, winding road so get a 4x4 car.
