The muckross hotel is nothing short of perfection. Every aspect of this hotel and spa is wonderful. We arrived 2 hours early for our stay to use the spa only to find that we had been upgraded to a suite which was wonderful. The suite itself was excellent with a massive bed which was so comfortable. Every room comes with a nespresso machine with pods which is a great touch. Then there is the spa. Wow. The vitality pool is free for guests with saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms and even a tropical shower which is just spectacular. We visited the pool on 2 occassions whilst here and spent 3 hours there both times. The staff at the hotel are wonderful and so helpful in everything that they do they offer a turn down service every night so you are always getting your tea coffee and anything else you need refreshed. There is so much more i could say but this is the deffinition of a 5 star stay. Wonderful in every aspect.

The staff were all very accommodating and helpful throughout our stay. I had proposed to my partner that morning at the top of Carrauntoohill and after a gruelling climb in horrendous weather, she was quite happy to hear that I had booked a hotel spa instead of a campsite like I had told her. Shane, the gentleman at the front desk, is such bubbly and fun personality to greet guests and was quick to get us into our room to get showered and changed so that we didn't miss our dinner reservation after a late descent. Regina was so helpful through the booking.com app and we were greeted by a lovely room set up that included towel swans and chocolate truffles! They even messaged to check beforehand that I had managed to pop the question so that they didn't ruin the surprise. We enjoyed the place so much that we extended our stay a night and relaxed a bit more before heading back home. The spa was lovely and the dinner/breakfasts at the Yew Tree Restaurant were amazing - definitely worth the price! Thanks so much again to all the staff there for making it a memorable weekend!

- The hotel is stylish and spacious. The common parts even smelt nice! - There were nice touches e.g. Prosecco on arrival and chocolates in the room. - The food in the Yew Tree restaurant was so delicious that we had dinner there two evenings in a row. - Very effective AC in the room which was unexpectedly needed during heatwave. - Staff were very accommodating when we asked to move room because of noise disturbance - see below. Upgraded to suite which was appreciated and we will stay in a suite during our next visit!

- We were woken in the night by the AC unit in the roof, and in the early morning by housekeepers coming in and out of their store room / office which was next door to our bedroom. Staff moved us to another room. - A little disorganised at breakfast. - Concierge couldn’t advise on challenging hiking trails, even though Ireland’s tallest mountain is only a 20 min drive away. - Need soft close toilet seat in bathroom!

After sleeping in these beds, we nearly pulled off the sheets and comforter cover to see what brands we should look for in purchasing our own. That was one of the best nights of sleep I've ever had in my life and I generally don't sleep well when traveling. Rooms were spacious and well equipped. Bathroom was lush and had great water pressure. The staff were very pleasant and efficient. The property is lovely and I regret not staying for longer to try out the spa services. The breakfast was included and matched other restaurants in both quality and portion size. Highly recommend and would stay here again if we come back.

We were disappointed the appear

We were immediately disappointed in the entrance of Muckross Hotel. We were expecting a grander entrance walking into the facility such as columns or larger walls and views of Killarney updating a more appealing entrance. The check in area was dark and not a wow at all.appears outdated. Our most important confusion was thinking the hotel was closer to the historical Muckross home and gardens.absolutely no mention until we were leaving the facility by a assistant manager. by chance we met her in the dining room for breakfast.the food and staff were excellent>

The Suite i was amazing since i get into the room for me hole experience was unique and beyond lovely and i will try it again without a second thought.

We didn't notice anything at all that will make us feel uncomfortable or bad. Everything was clean and high organized. The vibes in the hole hotel are clam and professionally friendly.

The junior suite was the best room I've ever stayed in with lots of space and the most comfortable bed and pillows. The breakfast offering and the food in the monk's lounge was excellent. The staff are incredibly friendly and good humoured. The concierges were all super helpful and cheerful. The spa is next level. I'd really recommend the Indian head massage with Alex who was brilliant! The hotel is also right beside the national park with beautiful scenery if you're into walking or cycling. The overall experience was fantastic and we'll definitely be returning again next year.

Muckross was fantastic. Breakfast is brilliant, great continental and hot food selection. I got the vegan full Irish 2 mornings, first time I had seen it on a menu and it was brilliant. Monks Lounge has great atmosphere, was perfect for a young couple. We were provided complimentary Prosecco as we checked in and with the heat it was great! Room has AC and heating, and a fridge, which was perfect for storing snacks and drinks. It was a little more pricey compared to other places but 100% worth it. Vitality suite was lovely.

Beautiful hotel, right across the street from Muckross House and the ruins of an abbey and Killarney National Park. They had bikes for guest use and we used these to cycle around the park. The breakfast was the best we had during our stay in Ireland. The staff was very helpful and directed us to a store where we could find vacuum packing bags so we could better fit all the woolen things we bought and they even made a vacuum available to squash it all down super flat. A luxurious place to stay.
