Highest recommendations for the Torc Hotel and its wonderful staff. The location (Killarney) is an excellent launching pad for tourists, such as myself, who enjoy trekking throughout the southwestern Kerry and Cork peninsulas (Dingle- 25 min to Castlemaine; Iveragh- 30 min to Kenmare; Beara- 30 min to Knockduragh; as well as Sheep’s Head and Mizen Head- 2 hours to each point) but do not want to have to unpack and repack to move to a new location everyday. It offers ample, free parking and is just outside of the busy town center, which is a plus for me as it provides a quiet retreat. The hotel has full breakfast service for its guests and serves meals 7 days per week, even off-season. This latter is especially convenient as during off-season, it can be very difficult to find an open restaurant in the aforementioned areas. The food is excellent and very reasonably priced. Generous pours on beverages. The hotel is very quaint (still uses actual keys for their rooms) but the rooms have been updated with modern bathrooms and fixtures (everything is shiny and clean). The beds are luxurious (very comfortable mattresses and comforters). The wait staff (both breakfast and restaurant/bar detail) are super friendly and attentive. I’ve been a B&B-er guest in Ireland for many years, but for the above reasons, I think I’ve found a home away from home with the Torc Hotel. I will definitely be back every year!

My only recommendation (constructive criticism) is that they check and clean the hot water appliances (i.e., for coffee and tea) provided in the rooms more frequently as the equipment tends to get moldy.

We had a great stay here. Firstly, we were greeted by the kind staff, who were continuously a pleasure to deal with throughout our stay. The room was huge, the bed was extremely comfortable, and the food was amazing. The parking outside was extremely handy. It was only a short drive into Killarney when we wanted to go in, but it was nice to get away from the busyness when we wanted to. Would definitely stay here again.

"Do Not Disturb" signs for the rooms would be handy, to avoid being woken by the housekeepers - a sign in the room states there would be no house keeping during our stay, but that may be an old sign intended for during the pandemic.

The breakfast was excellent and same applies to the other meals. The staff were so friendly, so willing and curteous.I

The guest who goes out at night has no key to the front door and is dependant on the night porter for access. I have had, on more than one occasion, to wait outside in the rain until the night porter came to gain admission. Why, does the guest, not get a front door key?

Very friendly staff. Quiet location in ideal spot for exploring the Ring of Kerry & Dingle peninsula. Good size room, large tv, bathroom had bath & shower. Restaurant food & service excellent. Good atmosphere in bar area to enjoy a beer.

The 3 nights we stayed coincided with the hottest weather in the history of the region. Our room was too warm to have a good nights sleep. Requested a fan to try to help but there were none available. It was explained that the temperatures we were having had never been experienced before so I had some sympathy but still think it is poor for a large hotel not to have fans available. The bar & restaurant areas did have air con,

Everything was perfect. Just far enough out of town for a chilled stay if you wanted one but not too far from centre for a night in town. Staff were more than accommodating. Lady in reception came out from behind desk to show us the way to our room and didn't just point in the general direction. Which was nice, little touches make a stay memorable

Leaving the comfy bed 🥱 nothing I didn't like.

The staff were lovely and very helpful. The food in the restaurant I also found great. I have stopped there twice since when I passed for food as along with the lovely food there is plenty of parking. The staff in the restaurant are also very friendly and are always so welcoming and are always open for a friendly conversation with you, another reason why I like stopping here for food when I'm passing. As I've been in enough restaurants where the only time they will talk to you is when they are taking your order so this is a refreshing change. The room itself was very clean and a great size.

It was a little bit further out than I thought it would be form killarney. But thats my own fault for not checking how far out it was when I booked it.

Stayed here with my boyfriend for New Years and we loved it! All the staff are super friendly and helpful. We had dinner in the restaurant and it was amazing, also ended up drinking in the bar which was great too. Lovely room and only 5 mins from town. Overall a great experience and great value for money

The best part of the Torc Hotel is its staff. From the reception counter to the bar to the breakfast room, we received exceptional, friendly service from everyone we met. The rooms were very large and clean.

The only drawback is its location. It is not walking distance to Killarney, but we were able to get a taxi to and from town for about 10 euro each way.

The staff could not have been more accommodating. Very pleasant receptionist and barman. The food was lovely and the service was fast and reliable. Check-in was easy. The bedroom was comfortable, clean, and spacious with plenty of towels and a clean bathroom. Cannot fault this hotel at all.

My mum and I enjoyed our stay very much. Food is nice with a good menu. I ordered the burger, disappointed, was not homemade. Breakfast excellent. Room excellent, my mum wants your pillows lol. Although there was tea making facilities, there was no bottles of water.

Frozen burger. No water in room
