perfect location and amazing staff. also a reasonably good breakfast.

stayed in the new extension which was lovely but is still having some work carried out during the day. This wasn’t too much of an issue but because of where our room was in location to the water heaters/boilers at night/in the morning whenever someone had a shower it was very loud. I imagine this won’t happen for the room we stayed in once the work is complete though.

First of all staff were very good, friendly, helpful and polite. Hotel and room was very clean. Good selection of breakfast available and staff assisting were very good. Quickly replaced items which had run out. Hotel location ideal for walking to all main attractions and train station about 25 minute walk. I would recommend this hotel for a base camp in Palermo. You can also book day trips to visit some of various places and transfer to airport easily.

If we were being really picky, the room was just starting to show a bit of wear but from use and may be a bit of a touch up required. But that's it.

Our room was in a separate building a few doors down from the main building. It was modern, private and quiet. The main part gets very crowded and noisy. If you want to stay at Mercure, try to request the new rooms! The location was walking distance to all the touristy spots, restaurants, and the bus stop.

The hotel doesn't have any character and is not really memorable. Same goes for the staff. The breakfast room gets very crowded in the mornings and the acoustic makes it unbearable to enjoy your meal. I would not stay here again!

Location is perfect, neighborhood quiet, or double glazing - but it was nice the room.The reception guys were very kind, especially a lady name EVA. Pls tell her we loved her.

The value for price was not good. It was very pricey. Breakfast was nice. But, vegetables were in the lack, we had to ask again and again for more. The staff was pleasant and brought it. The breakfast hall, was not not properly built acoustic-wise, hence it was exceptionally noisy. they have a step between two parts of the hall, marked properly - but... I was always in a certain tension not to fall. age is showing on me....

The room was lovely and big, with a very comfortable bed and tea/coffee making facilities .Breakfast was very tasty with hot options. The bar area was a nice place for a pre dinner drink.

Strangely our room was round the corner and in a separate building to the reception. There was a phone in the room though and you could contact reception at any time. The toilet in our bathroom was odd. Even with the lid down, water splashed onto the floor when flushed and the toilet roll holder was too close and fell off every time the lid was lifted.

Breakfast was fantastic. Usual continental selection with a token sausage / bacon/ scrambled egg buffet offering. Barista coffee was included, and we were not charged for our 4 children, so at 7€ per adult this was excellent value. Rooms weee large clean and quiet with all the usual mod cons. Valet parking at 20 EUR per night was efficient and the staff were very helpful.

Driving in and around is a little hair raising. Parking outside the hotel so it could be parked by the valet was difficult.

Very uncomfortable feeling about the garage staff.They took the car from the hotel and placed it in a private parking for 20 euros, they warned that the car was new, only 1000 km. In the morning we found a chipped paint on the right side of the door, and my charging cable and a cloth for cleaning Fendi glasses were stolen from the car! The cable was returned to me after the receptionist claimed the garage staff, the rest could not be proved! Film your car and don't leave things behind!

I travelled to celebrate my birthday alone, I couldn't have chosen a better Hotel. The food in the restaurant is exceptional, the breakfast has a lot of choice, the cocktails served in the bar are divine and most importantly the large room and very comfortable bed. Without forgetting to mention the Staff with an incredible friendliness, I did not fail to notice the way in which they gave special attention to all guests, making the hotel a very pleasant environment. I am pleased to say that they provided me with one of the best moments of my trip, it was the cherry on top of the cake, with management and the entire team at this hotel congratulating me on my birthday, THANK YOU to everyone.

Overall I was very happy with my stay. The room was very smart and the balcony was nice as well. Minibar was good and this was only a short walk from the Salinas archaeological museum - which is a 'must'. I got a very good deal through Booking.com otherwise it might have been expensive.

There was some definite evidence of staff shortages especially at breakfast. I was in a good mood so it was actually amusing but management needs to concentrate on this. Having said that, the breakfast itself was OK.

The hotel has a building, across the street, with newly created rooms. Rooms are spacious, clean with a nice bathroom. Breakfast is still in the old building, but really just crossing the street. All main attractions are within walking distance. Car was parked by the staff in a nearby parking lot. No hassle to arrange it.

The room were really so new that they had still the smell of paint. But that should be over in a few days. Construction is still going on on the second and third floor, but no annoyance on our (4th) floor.
