The rooms were small, but that is my experience of Paris hotels in general. The beds were comfy, the showers were great, the lights had a mind of their own, but you could eventually work out a way to turn them off and on as desired. The location was superb, there are some lovely bars right next door, and some great places to eat in the streets around the hotel. There is a lovely big gate (Porte Saint-Denis) to help you navigate your way around the surrounding streets, which is also beside the useful metro which takes you to the Eiffel Tower/Louvre etc. The staff were great, and organised a taxi to the station for us to continue our travels on to Venice.

The breakfast is not really worth the money, as there are some bakeries and supermarkets beside the hotel, in which you could buy something more substantial. But I’m from a land where an Ulster fry is a great way to start a day, not a portion of cold meats/cheese and bread. There is also a weird law in place that prevents you from buying spirits after 6pm in the supermarkets in that district, in case you feel the need to have a wee gin in your room.

The hotel had such a cosy atmosphere, with the cute decoration and welcoming staff. The neighbourhood is in a good location where there’s many cafes and bakeries nearby.

The lights to the bedroom were confusing since different switches would control different or random combinations of lights. It was really cramped, and if you’re contemplating between two singles or a double, opt for the double considering items would always fall off the wobbly bed stands and fall into the small space between.

Cafes, restaurants & grocery stores all nearby. The staff were amazing, extremely helpful and made us feel so welcome. Even stored our food in their fridge. The rooms (although small- but this is Paris) were very comfortable with all the added extras ie soaps, shoe buffs, shower caps, tea bags, sugar etc but the BEST EVER was THE COFFEE MACHINE in the room. From a coffee freak, a HUGE THANK YOU.

Although there was air conditioning, it was not as cool as we would have liked as it seemed to be set on a permanent temperature, so a fan would have been fantastic. We did ask for one & the staff looked but couldn’t find one. They were always so accommodating.

the man at the reception was polite and friendly , i was able to check in a bit earlier which is nice. the shampoo and stuff like that were from NUXE (love that) good location ,a lot of restaurants around , metro is quite close. towels are fresh and clean, the rooms are cleaned well. and on that note good stuff ended.

VERY bad soundproofing. on our first night at the hotel, we heard how behind the wall, in another room, a man began to vomit and it was very audible in our room. it was was disgusting. when he turned on the water, it was also heard in our room. but at our request, the next day we were rebuilt in another room where there was no noise, and the room in general was better( big thanks to the employees, we didn’t have to pay for that)the rooms are old, the walls are shabby, there are no slippers, toothbrushes. Strange light switches, it is not clear which one turns on the light. The hotel is definitely not 4 stars. the ratio of quality and price does not correspond to reality. If you're not lucky, your windows will face the street and there is a LOT of noise at night.believe me.

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially the receptionist we checked in with - he took the time to explain everything and tell us a bit about the neighborhood. The bathroom is clean and the shower is great. Moreover, the restaurants in the areas are amazing, and the hotel is only a couple of minutes from the metro.

All the switches in the room turned on/off all the lights in the room, with the exception of the bathroom light, which had its own switch. This was kind of annoying when one of us wanted to sleep and one wanted to read. Also, the beds were good, but the pillows weren’t the most comfortable.

Everything is perfect. It exceeded all of my expectation as I find comfort, convenience, and satisfaction during my 2 nights stay. The room is just right for a single room. The hotel is near the 2 major central station and 2 subway stations. A lot of restaurant and food shops nearby. The staff is well mannered and good at assisting on my inquiries about hotel concerns. It is good to try the buffet at least once. Love the free syrup, water and candies on the lobby. Keep it up!

Check in service was first class and front line staff were outstanding. Room was super clean and amazingly comfortable. Location is outstanding as many restaurants below yet interior of hotel was quiet. Outstanding breakfast with many choices and fresh. Ample space not too crowded and reasonably good quality. Walking distance to Gare du Nord. Great value for money. Really cannot be happier with this choice.

Cool part of town close to the Opera area but not very touristy. The water in the room tasted a bit funky, which they know about. So in the lobby is free filtered water, which is a nice touch.

Everything is small: the elevator, hallways, room, and especially the bathroom. People with lots of luggage will struggle to get everything into the room.

Hotel Aulivia Opéra was the first place I stayed during my 7 week stay in a Paris. The staff were exceptional! I was solo traveling from the US and working remotely. The accommodations were well fit and on a quiet street. The staff was extremely quick to respond to all questions I had and even helped me with a few questions after my stay. This location is central and walking distance to many different shops, cafes, restaurants, etc. I would recommend to anyone looking for a friendly and warm welcome to Paris!

I could sometimes hear neighbors through the walls, it was not too loud. I use a sleep white noise machine and that always helps no matter where I am traveling.

Staff were kind and helpful. As we had to leave early in the morning on the check out day, although the breakfast starts at 7:00, the staff prepared breakfast at 6:10 for us. Location is good for transportation, 10 min by foot from Gare du Nord, different tube and bus stations close to the hotel. Although the hotel is located in the center of downtown, our room faced inside then it was really quiet (not sure how quiet for other rooms which face outside).

We stayed at “Junior Suite” at a 4 stars hotel however it was not as expected as mine(not disappointing though). Having said that, the room was very bright and clean (consisted of a double bed room, a sofa bed room, and bath room).
