The hotel is a great place if you want a cheap and affordable place,we booked pled the river view room and it looks AMAZING, on the first day we had the buffet breakfast and it tasted great! We stayed from Tuesday through Saturday and it was $741, the difference with Meriton is a whole total of 2,049, Even though the hotel is not like Meriton but I was still amazing, you can use the money that you saved on theme parks or surf classes or Quackrduck. The pools were great too, we spent most of the time in the spa (warm pool) but the cold pool was nice and relaxing on a hot summer day. The restaurant also is good, my personal favourite was the Thai style beef salad, it is not spicy and definitely delicious. The staff were nice and friendly even though the housekeeping only tidied one day but they kept asking if we needed clean towels so that is good.

The tap kept dripping from the first day, even though it wasn’t a problem to us it might for some people. The water pressure is not that good either but it wasn’t a problem to us too

Rooms with a view of the ocean are on the road-side, so there is some traffic noise but amazing views of the waves/other buildings in the area. The beds were comfortable, the staff were helpful and friendly, and the rooms are spacious and well-maintained. The price was brilliant value compared to the high quality of the hotel. Location is 5 minutes walk from the Cavill Avenue tram stop (easy access to Brisbane train line, theme parks and Coolangatta airport), and directly next to useful bus stops. It’s a short walk (10 minutes) through shops and restaurants to reach the beach.

No faults with the hotel

Love the location easy access to Cavil Circle and other hotspots in the area. The rooms and beds were really comfortable. We had a rough start as the aircon in original room was not working and the staff were great, moved us to second room and unfortunately it wasn't working there either so we were moved again and that room was great. Another let down was one of the washing machines was not working in the laundry but things happen and while I could see she had a long day and was frustrated, Amanda and her team sorted the issue and we managed to get to bed before midnight! Luciana was awesome too and I know guests would have a very comfortable stay.

The fact we couldn't get change for the laundry or have the cost added to our room number even though a deposit was taken. If you are becoming a no cash establishment and expect coins for the laundry then there should be system in place to enable guests to obtain the coins. The situation became quite stressful as we had to try and find somewhere to get the coins and had no luck. Luckily for us the lovely lady at the Driftwood Social helped us out of her own pocket as they don't accept cash either :O

Good spot, could book for just one night, reasonable cost, balcony, river views and across towards the east, comfortable bed, spacious room, an easy 5 min walk to the beach at Surfers Paradise, close to shops and eateries of all types. Parking on site. Check out time 11am. Staff member on checkout desk smiling and friendly.

The two Staff members at check-in were not welcoming. Check-in time was 3pm. I arrived at 2.50pm and was told I would have to wait because my room was not ready. Was given a hard time for not booking and prepaying for parking. I had requested a parking spot when booking and believed it was free. Parking $30 per night.

fantastic views from the 19th floor. the room was spacious and there was a table and a couch. the bathroom was good. the beds were very comfortable.

the walls are thin and you hear the neighbours. The noise from rooms travels through doors and down the hallways. If there’s loud music in a room several rooms away you will hear it in the hallway and into your room. The doors are designed to close behind you which is normal these days. unfortunately these bang shut very loudly. Most other visitors seemed oblivious to the noise and allowed the door to slam shut. The spa pool is not that warm. On the third night we decided to use it only to find it was now completely cold. House keeping comes way to late in the afternoons. The lights are frustrating, sometimes taking you up or down randomly without getting you to your room. maybe it was just a fault that weekend but we met others during our stay that reported the same issue.

Love, love, love the beds, especially the king. They were extremely comfy and the pillows were awesome. When we got into the room, the temperature was perfect and it was clean and tidy. Love the double sinks in the bathroom and I love that you've provided great quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand wash, and lotion. We were very impressed with the location too. I would highly recommend this place to my family and friends. My 7-year-old loved the pool even though it was freezing but was extremely happy to be able to get into the spa to warm up. The staff was friendly and helpful, always with a smile.

Parking was horrendous and the space was narrow and small. Wasn't too happy that we had to pay for parking, however, I didn't mind paying for it as I saved some money getting a discount on the room.

room layout and decor, distance to our conference venue, staff were friendly if approached and mostly helpful, but not especially welcoming once we were checked in. the pool was great. lobby nice to enter.

room was not properly cleaned. floor dirty with spills and even a date stone on floor under the couch, dust on skirting boards in open wardrobe, frige smelled bad. fittings were tired - curtain off its rails, the sofa broken, a hook missing from the bathroom door. frige only just cold enough. was checked by maintenance man who insisted it was cold enough.

Friendly, helpful staff. Would definitely recommend it. Close to shops and eateries.

Arriving to find dirty cups in the cupboard. I'm not sure if these are actually removed from the room after guests leave and washed properly or just rinsed out and put back. Because the ones in the cupboard had off milk in it and stunk. The broken down lift down to the car park. Made taking luggage up and down a nightmare. This also created issues during busy times. Being on the 5th floor meant lift was often full heading down and needed to wait for space. Hopefully, this is fixed before my next stay

The room we had was very nice and cozy and had a mini kitchen area however there was no stovetop but it wasn’t a big deal as we mostly ate out.

The wifi connection to cast to the tv was always disconnecting and takes awhile to connect. The shower pressure could be a little stronger, should have a fan as the steam was really bad and should have a proper cover or extended cover for the shower as the water kept splashing everywhere onto the bathroom floor when showering so the bath mat was constantly wet.

The staff was super friendly, there is a $100 bond per room on top of your amount. You get back after a few days. 11am checkout, total blessing. The room was clean tidy and enjoyable. The bed is the same as melbournes vibe hotel, king size. The pool was deep enough to dive into at the end. Amazing location, just down the road from Slingshot. I love the pillows totally compty if you love thick ones, daily room service. Not all chains offer that nowadays. The pool closes at 9 pm and opens at 7am, little loud with the traffic however you expect that facing the road. I had my own private balcony. The elevator is quick per floor as well. Karens diner is just across the road. Pacific fair 13 mins drive from vibe hotel. 13cabs are no more then $75 from the airport and $90ish back there, uber was $45 to airport if that helps. Really nice location again. Breakfast was amazing they charge to your account and pay as you leave or take off your bond if you wish. Place your card in the card holder to gain power.

The left elevator kept playing up, which was slightly frustrating on everyone that rode the elevator at the time, it was like playing Russian roulette whether it would work or not, the shower was hard to turn on with the old style shower and bath set up. You require pulling a lever up to get the water to go through the shower only. If your 6ft I wouldn't suggest having a shower here due to stepping up in the bath I'm 5ft 6 and i can touch the ceiling easy, the toilet seat moved constantly. That was fun to sit on. No abc4 kids on the TV.
