A great hotel, with superb customer service, gorgeous food (the breakfast is in buffet form - help yourself, and the standard full Scottish was OK, but if you really want a treat, ask for the Strawberry Cheesecake porridge. It was AMAZING!) Dinner in the hotel was delicious, the beds are comfy and the room was spacious enough for our needs. The air-conditioning was very welcome. It is perfectly placed with a small shopping centre opposite, a Costco 5 minutes down the road, and a bus stop right outside the hotel should you wish to go shopping in the city. I would highly recommend this hotel.

The only thing I could complain about wasn't the fault of the hotel. It was the noise of seagulls outside. Short of employing someone to stand on the roof and shout 'Shoo!' there wasn't much they could do about it! Noise cancelling earplugs help!

Breakfast was amazing- choice, freshness, cleanliness, very helpful and pleasant staff and scrumptious pancakes. Handy location for bus into city centre and on straight route to the city and to access the beautiful countryside - A944 for all of this. Reception staff tried to help me find means of accessing ARI hospital but weren't sure but thanks to helpful bus drivers soon gained that information and confidence to use it. Would be excellent idea if handy info booklet containing information on use of buses to access locations as like me many wish to stay in.location not in city but with choice to use either own transport or public transport. Information on what is available on the excellent little shopping centre directly opposite the hotel would very welcome for those looking to buy gifts, essentials or things to take to hospital patients.

See above re information booklets about accessing other locations. Information leaflet on how to switch on television and shower rail and on accessing room service. Not in anyway a major dislike but certainly helpful in some situations.

Staff were fantastic, from reception to the housekeeping team, all very friendly. Food in the restaurant was very good quality and a good price. Breakfast was great too, well worth getting up for. Great location for a small shopping centre and an Aldi if you need some bits for your stay. The bed was comfy with plenty of pillows and a nice shower with soft towels.

The room was a little dated, and for some reason, I keep getting put in a disabled room when travelling. I'm not too sure why you pay for an upgraded room, and you get this with pull cords everywhere. I like my windows open, but you could smell cigarette smoke from people strolling about the front of the hotel smoking.

We got the last room available within 50 miles at very short notice. The staff were welcoming. Our room had a queen size bed and a sleeper sofa already made up, which my husband volunteered to sleep on. Both of us had the best night's sleep in many hotel stays! Decent sized bathroom. I think the room was called a superior double. The lift was fast and the staff in the dining room/bar were very pleasant.

The air-conditioning didn't work and made an awful noise, the blades were also dirty. The phone didn't work.

Brilliant staff, friendly atmosphere and welcoming. Fantastic breakfast and evening meals. Gemma and David made our 5 night stay so enjoyable at breakfast and in the evening Gemma gave us tips on places to visit and deserves recognition for her hard work every morning, without her our stay would have been less enjoyable.

Not being able to get an accessible room with twin beds. Had to have help to get into the bath to use the shower.

Great hotel, staff are a real credit, friendly and welcoming. The restaurant is beautiful and the food is great, I recommend trying the pancakes for breakfast. The complimentary items on our fridge were great.

The only point and it's not enough to put you off staying is the fact that when they do room service they don't leave clean cups, first time I've ever had that and not sure why. Easily solved we just rinsed ours through to reuse.

Staff were all very pleasant, polite and helpful. The room was better than expected. It was very clean, at a comfortable temperature and had extras like an iron and hairdryer. Tea and coffee was also available.

The toilet was difficult to flush properly. I think it was set to save water but that meant that toilet paper remained in the bowl and required several flushes to get rid of it. Breakfast was a little cold but there was plenty of it and a varied menu to choose from.

Tori on reception went out of her way to make our stay special. We were there for a birthday weekend and she went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. She was really friendly and personable every time we spoke to her and in her interactions with other guests.

We ate a meal in the restaurant. The food was perfect but after ordering at 7.30 we had to chase our main meals after 9pm! There was no real concern for our wait.

The staff were very friendly, the housekeepers has done amazing job the room was very clean, the staff was very honest especially about fire alarm going off when their had someone to come in to fix it, this morning at breakfast the staff was honest telling me the chef was ill and left work, their still done breakfast best their could, I couldnt fault them, the staff did made me and my mum feel we/come, I 1000000% recommend staying here and I would definitely stay here again

No Issues

The breakfast was lovely good choice of produce it was buffet service so you can eat as much as you like you can also help yourself to coffee again as much as you wish all in all very good .

The only small thing that i wasn't so happy about is we had a disabled room booked and the toilet pan was very low saying that the rails at either side did help but prefer a higher loo .
