Hotel Vista Premio Kyoto Kawaramachi St

great location about 5-10mins walk to several train stations. it was tucked off the main street, so was in a quiet neighbourhood. we were able to leave our luggage before check in and after check out. warmly greeted by the staff everytime we passed by the reception area and accommodated our other requests such as changing of coins for the laundry machines upstairs. there were free umbrellas for use during the days it was drizzling. comfortable bed and we were well rested during our 4 night stay there. while room didnt seem very soundproof (we could hear activities outside and in adjacent room), generally was quiet. plenty of food and shopping options nearby. housekeeping was excellent too, received new disposable slippers and we observed that our bedsheets were totally changed rather than simply making the bed. was also very nice that hotel had washing machines upstairs at 400yen/load and 100yen/30mins of drying, which was very affordable. also it seemed like one of the lifts were programmed to wait at our floor, so we had a lift available almost immediately everytime. if it wasnt a coincidence, then the attention to detail that the staff put in was amazing. Good, comfortable and value-for-money stay at the heart of Karawamachi area, and would recommend for solo or couple travelers visiting Kyoto

our room, while having bed size for 2, seems more designed for a single traveler. slightly small bed, partner and I took turns attempting to kick each other off the bed

Located in Kawaramachi, it's close to restaurants and bus stops.

The staff was cordial but they could not reserve or call taxis to the Kyoto station. It was impossible to spot any taxi on a rainy day with a luggage in the middle of Kawaramachi. I learned after the trip that Uber works in Kyoto and there are other mobile apps that tourists can request taxis. Maybe that is why the hotel could not call taxis (and should've told me to use an app instead of waving my hand on the curbside....) because they are busy with calls when everyone is hailing taxis via apps.

The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful, though not speaking English very well. One lady helped me by calling a store in Hiroshima, where I forgot my passport (because of tax free procedure). She got them to send me the passport by mail from Hiroshima to Kyoto, it arrived the next day. Other than that, twin room was a bit more spacious than most in Japan, amenities were standard, wifi worked property and hotel in general was good. Location was very convenient, about 5min walk to the subway and in a quiet side street just off one of the main avenues where there is a bus stop to Kyoto central station. It is very convenient to explore the city centre, you can walk to Gion and the market streets are just behind the hotel.

Everything was good. They didn't offer breakfast but there are plenty of places to eat nearby.

Location is just perfect, easy access to buses, trains, subway to explore Kyoto, but also right in the middle of them action, with plenty of places reachable on foot (shopping arcades, ramen bars, pontocho, gion, Higashiyama, and more). The room was spacious and bright, the bed big and comfortable.

Nothing really. Only way to make it better would be to add a small bath/onsen room japanese style for relaxing after all the walking.

Great location, spacious room, all necessary facilities and friendly/helpful staff. We were surprised to be given an upgrade on arrival - the room we got was great with a nice view of the streets below and a bath which we used most nights. We paid for the buffet for one morning and that was great too. They also helped with luggage delivery to the next hotel. Highly recommend!

I think our room got upgraded. We booked for a 20m2 but I felt substantially larger. However, the location was perfect. All busy streets were within 1 minute walking distance. We hadden all the amenities we needed. Big shout out to the staff. They were super duper friendly. Loved that. Not just formally friendly, but really genuine friendly and they seemed happy to serve. Will come back here in future.

Interior was little old. But the rest makes it all up for that.

Great value and decently sized given the price. Location is within close walking distance to shops, restaurants, the Gion district and Nishiki Market. Our room was clean and had a nice presentation with the well made beds, furniture, and artwork. Staff was welcoming and was able to help us in English.

Having an additional coffee machine in the lobby would be nice. Overall this was a pleasant stay and great value for the price.

The location was perfect, close to shopping, restaurants and many of the local sights. Breakfast was good with many options for different tastes.

The room es pretty dated. The beds and pillows were very hard making them vey uncomfortable. No parking near but so if you are driving in the area you will need to walk from some of the available parking areas in the areas, but it will cost you.

Really great location. Nicely laid out rooms. Small, but very functional. We ended up extending our stay in the hotel as we were so pleased and really allowed us to discover Kyoto.

We had a view on the cemetery :/ But the way the shades were made was very convenient. We could close one so we wouldn’t see it while letting light in. And then there was a secondary panel we could pull for at night to block light completely

The staff is very kind and professional. Very good location

The table is loaded with things that in my opinion are unnecessary due to the size of the room and leaves no room for the customers' equipment. In addition, the coffee cups are not washed in the daily room service and they do not provide cleaning materials for the guests to wash themselves.
