location was good (few mins walk away from nara deer park) lots of food options nearby (halal & convenience store type too)

it was not specified that there's an additional fee for women's onsen. when receptionist mentioned there's a public onsen we were under the impression that it was free for all to use. however, it was rlly inconvenient and misleading when we realized that there's a separate security key for women & that there's a fee for it

Location was ideal: adjacent to the JR Nara station, yet isolated from the hustle bustle. A well-appointed grocery store was nearby as was a Starbucks located in a historic building. Hotel was similar to other 3-Star accommodations in Japan; compact yet full of modern amenities. Property was recently rebranded as a Spa, yet I didn’t take advantage of low-cost public bathing facility. Having a separate laundromat with microwave and beverage machine were added bonuses. Room had a work desk. WiFi was robust.

Room came with a “trouser presser”, which was the size of a vertical flat panel screen. Considering compactness of the room, it’d have been nice to have the extra space. Breakfast was not cheap, so I ate elsew

This was just a random hotel we booked when we spontaneously decided on staying a night in Nara because it is so close to the train station, but wow, what a great hotel for the price! Beautiful, clean, offers an onsen and workshops and activities on some days. The all the staff was incredibly nice and helpful and spoke English really well. Price-quality wise, this was the best hotel we stayed at on our trip to Japan.

Would have loved the onsen to be tattoo friendly, because it looks very pretty in pictures. (My partner's tattoos are too big to be covered by a sticker).

Favourite hotel of my trip so far. Comfy room with great bed, excellent facilities and the staff are really friendly.

It's great location for train services, but a trek from the park. We had aspirations of checking out the park at night but apparently there's not much for food that way, which left us having to choose between eating or exploring (mainly because it was pouring it down). Definitely a quieter vibe in Nara, so if you're looking for loads to do with the overnight stay, might not be for you. But the hotel is great if it's suits what you need

Good hotel a short walk (under 200m) from the train station in a less busy area. The room I had was quite small but comfortable - the bed occupied most of it, so a typical Japanese hotel for travellers. Very good value for money though. I did not use the onsen. Good laundry facility. Staff were quite helpful and their English is much better than my Japanese! Public transport very close by - the main bus area is just on the other side of the train station, from which you can get to all the tourist attractions.

Room was exceptionally spacious, clean and well-equipped. The (interior) onsen was really good - I bathed three times and I enjoyed the entire bath with 2 locals (no one spoke a thing, so quiet) at any one time. One cannot ask for more for a hotel just 1 min walk from JR station, with multiple supermarkets/grocery stores/restaurants next to it. Most people would stay in Kyoto and come to Nara for a day trip. They should do the other way round. Unlike Kyoto hotels, the staff here have exceptionally good manners and all spoke reasonable to good English. The staff really made a big difference!

We chose a room that was bigger and it was pleasant. The beds were very comfortable and the bathroom was great. It would have been nice if we could have opened the window (we like to sleep in a cooler room), but it was not possible. The hot spring was pleasant too and there was no one when we used it. Would still stay again. It's very convenient to get to the station.

It would have been nice if we could have opened the window (we like to sleep in a cooler room), but it was not possible - so we used the air conditioning to cool the room.

Nice and clean with good location, reachable from JR NARA station in about 5 mins walk. Friendly staff. It's about 30 minutes walk to Nara park or you can take bus/taxi from pickup point which is 2 min walk from the hotel.

For pillows - they leave a basic hard pillow on your room and gives you the option to take extra pillows from a pillow rack nearby reception. The rack was supposed to have wide varieties of pillows with different comfort levels, but by the time we were there, everything was already taken and we had no option other than to sleep with the hard pillow left at room.

The location to the train and bus station was perfect for us. The staff were really friendly and helpful, we chose a lead in room which was small and compact but had everything we needed, water was provided daily and I love trying out all the hotel offered pyjamas. The bus stops at Nara park which is 4 stops from the hotel and then you can meander through the park and city back towards the hotel at the end of the day.

This is a lovely hotel, a convenient 3 minute walk from the main Nara station. We found it really easy to get around when visiting the parks and temples on either side of the city. There are lots of cheap buses and it's fairly easy to navigate. It is a short walk to the town centre from the hotel with shopping arcades and plenty of restaurants and bars, plus the station is full of shops and eating options. The hotel itself is very well managed, the staff are friendly and helpful and the hot spring baths are beautiful and open most of the time. The room was a great size and very comfortable. Would highly recommend.

Nothing - we thought this was excellent value.
