Great hostel with transport services/shuttles too and from grand harifu and it's close to the free shuttles. The japanese breakfast every morning was great (similar things everyday but it didn't bother me). The rooms feel a little small but there are quite a few storage options and the bunks were super comfortable and it was clean! The best part of all is the 7 eleven across the road!

Terrible wifi, no signal in the dorms and even in the common areas it was extremely slow. The location is a bit far from the main Harifu town so if you go for a night out you might be walking home.

My Ecolodge offered free pick up and transfer to Hirafu welcome center and Kutchan Station. Very convenient especially we have big luggage and it was difficult to walk in snow with luggage. There are breakfast everyday, not fancy but good enough for skiing the whole morning. But the dinner ramen was awesome. Slurping hot ramen was exactly what I needed after skiing the whole day. The room was very clean with powerful heater. The bed and blankets were comfy. I had good sleep every night. But the power plugs are locating in not that handy spots. An extension may be needed. The location is a bit far from the ski resorts but it makes the neighborhood more local and affordable. If you are able to catch the shuttle bus and understand the free shuttle rules, the location is not an issue. All in all, it was a great stay.

The kitchen is big and equipped with microwave. But there was no ceramic bowls or plates provided which was very odd. There was neither a proper knife and cutting board to cut. It would also be good if the staffs can tell some misbehaved foreigners to respect the Japanese cultures such as not putting their feet on tables and chairs, or not talking out loud in public. It will also make other polite customer feel better. Some evening staffs were not that polite. They never said hello and only chatted to each others. But it's purely their own behaviors and not My Ecolodge's problem.

An excellent hotel in Niseko/Hirafu area that was not overpriced - a great find! Ski storage room in the lower floor, clean and simple rooms with comfy beds and everything needed, excellent food from the cafe (just check opening hours/days!), and a 7/11 across the street. The staff were very kind and helpful with our delayed bags and helping with forwarding our luggage to our next destination. The shuttle to and from the main town was also very helpful. Would very much recommend.

Breakfast variety - I appreciate that the hotel provides a simple breakfast, there was enough to eat and it tasted good, but we would've liked something slightly different from day to day.

Breakfast was served hot and was really good every day. Very filling before a big day of skiing. The staff had really good transport to the ski fields every morning and a huge heated storage locker. It was a very good experience. It would have been good to know before hand the showers have open change rooms but wasn’t an issue to use

It is a 20min walk from the main Hirafu area and I had a not great run in with a stranger on a walk home at night so wouldn’t recommend walking home after the busses stop running (last one around 9pm). But the taxi service is easy to use and not expensive. The rooms were also a little tight so lots of squishing of ski layers!

My son and I stayed for seven nights for a ski trip. Ecolodge is a great choice. Great location, right next to 711 convenience store. Small but clean and warm room. Canteen breakfast and dinner were great value. living room is spacious and lively. Hotel shuttle to train station and Hirafu were very helpful if you don’t have a car. Bus stop is opposite the hotel and bus timing is on the wall. Kitchenette, coin laundry and ski store room were just all we needed. Above all, the hotel staff speak English well and were extremely nice and effective. They were knowledgeable about the area and always ready to help. I once was stuck in train station without a cab and they were nice enough to come and fetch me in the middle of freezing winter evening. More memorable and pleasant stay than 5 star hotel experience!

Really can’t think of any. A great place if you are looking for nice ambience and value for money.

Good clean hostel stay in Japan to ski. The ski storage room was exemplary - very warm so things dried overnight but strangely there wasn’t a bench or anywhere to sit to boot up. Since you can’t have ski boots in your room, this was the only place to put them on and a place to sit seems obvious. I was picked up at the train station, which was very nice. Though I wish the staff hadn’t recommended using the train from Sapporo, it was a pretty horrible experience with ski baggage. Take the bus, take the bus. The free shuttle bus system in the morning ran timely and was very handy. Having a “sev” across the street was also great since this location was quite aways from town.

Rooms are small, of course. And there really isn’t great storage for all this ski gear. The hostel was pretty full and that is the reason we’re there so better accommodation for gear would be nice. Instead a vanity/desk took up space where drawers or more cubbies would have been more useful. But that’s a minor complaint, it’s a hostel, and was good value.

I loved the cleanliness of the bedroom and despite being a shared dorm the rooms had a respectful quiet and friendly environment! The bathrooms / showers had great water pressure and again despite being shared ensured great privacy and cleanliness. 100% would stay again!! Outstanding value for money, the food is perfect/ value for money. Met some great people (more men than women), but I loved it!

I personally prefer softer pillows, the ones they had were small and very hard, however I’m sure you could ask to change. I’m also quite tall for a girl so only just fit in the bed (again, this is just me I’m 5’10) but it is exactly what you expect/ even better for a shared room / bunk beds 😊.

Free morning shuttle to the HIRAFU Gondola. Free pick up and drop off to the Kutchan train station if organised before hand. Drying room for storage of snowboards. 7/11 across the road. Laundry facility on site.

Coffee was terrible. No vegetarian options for lunch and dinner, all the broth is pork based. It’s not really walking distance to anywhere, but there is a bus stop right outside. Expensive accommodation for what it is, but maybe that just comes with the Niseko price tag.

We loved our stay at MyEcolodge! The staff was very accommodating and friendly. Rooms were small, but comfy and had everything we needed. The hotel shuttle service was a bonus. I highly recommend staying at MyEcolodge if you're visiting Niseko.

Although there is a bus stop in front of the hotel, the local buses/shuttles are unreliable and frequently late. Not to mention, they run less frequently in the afternoons and evenings, so we ended up walking to the village a few times (20-25 minute walk).

Pick up and drop off to Kutchan makes it super easy to come to and from Sapporo. The staff was super helpful! Also daily drop off at Gondola for first lift. Bus stop right outside to take into Hirafu. 7Eleven across the road, nice bakery nearby. Big ski drying room. Has a Ramen shop on site for dinner, cheap and big servings.

Stayed in dorm. Overall not much to not like.. Wifi can be a bit slow or non-existent in your room, but ok in the main area.
