Very clean and the capsule was so spacious you'd forget it's a capsule. The staff was nice and kept my luggage after checkout. Interesting art in the rooms and there was a tiny public bath space too!

The pillow was a bit too high and hard. There is no washing machine on the sight though there is a coin laundry nearby. No morning coffee and you need to buy something outside. The showers were in the same space as the beds. I arrived at 11 pm and felt bad to take a shower and disturb everyone sleeping. I washed my hair the next morning as I thought using the drier at that hour would have been really rude. I wish there was a door to separate the showering space.

Great for a capsule hotel - cozy bed and spacious enough. There is just a curtain to close your space off which means that sound does travel but they provide ear plugs and people were respectful at night. You can use your alarm to wake yourself up. Very clean space too. Lovely common area with friendly staff.

Looks like advertised in the photos, very clean, and it's quite big for a 'capsule room'. I even kept my medium-sized suitcase in my room, though others kept theirs outside. Note that there aren't any doors (just curtains that you can secure with velcro), so you'll hear noises on your floor. But the sound insulation of the facilities is fairly good, e.g., the showers have proper doors, so you don't actually hear much of showering noise. I'm 5'10" (1.78m) and it was totally fine to sleep there. While you can't fully stand up, I was able to at least fully stretch my leg when standing up and keeping my back bent (upside down 'L' shape) in the room. - Would definitely recommend for a night or two. I think I was the exception staying there for four nights (and I do think my back started hurting a bit towards the end, but that will depend mostly on how much time you spend at the hotel). Bathrooms get cleaned every few hours and felt immaculately clean!

Wi-Fi in the cafe area was essentially non-existent during my stay of 4 nights, so I ended up staying on my floor / in my room to access Wi-Fi. Location is a bit tricky, you do walk quite a bit to the nearest metro stops, but convenience stores, restaurants, and a shopping area nearby.

Nice location, right next to the Shinsaibashi shopping street. 10min. walk to the next metro station. The "pods" are set up like small traditional japanese rooms wich are really nice and clean. Shared bathroom and toilets are very clean and modern with a wide range of toiletries. There is also a communal bath on the 9th (or 8th I forgot) floor. Staff was really nice and helpful. I really enjoyed my stay. Perfect for short term stays.

The front desk and the elevators to the rooms are on the 2nd floor and can only be reached by stairs. But since my suitcase was quite light and medium sized it wasnt a real problem.

The staff are friendly and helpful. You can store your luggage there before and after check out for free. The sleeping space itself is more spacious than I expected with enough room to open a carry on suitcase. I slept really well here, the bed was comfortable and the sleeping area was surprisingly quiet. The bathrooms were very clean with nice toiletries included (lotions and face care products as well). The communal women’s bath on the top floor was a highlight with a nice indoor hot pool and an outdoor soaking bath on a covered balcony for one person. Very peaceful and relaxing. The building is also totally separated men from women. The elevators are separate, communal baths, toilets, everything except reception and the ground floor working and eating area.

You have to carry your luggage from the ground floor to the second floor where reception and the elevators are, but I do believe if you buzz the staff there is an employee elevator somewhere. Also there is no place to store your luggage except in your sleeping pod, if it fits (carry on suitcases yes, larger no). Otherwise you can keep it in the hallway of your communal floor. There is a small safe in the sleeping pod but not big enough for a laptop. I used the lock on my suitcase to secure larger valuables. But I felt very safe here.

We loved everything about Hotel Cargo. We spent two weeks in Japan and went to multiple cities staying in many capsule hotels and I will say this was the best experience we had. From the amazing hair/face/body products that are put in the bathroom. To the beautiful decor and the comfort of what looked like a mini studio. The best part was being able to fit my big checked bag into the space where I could rearrange my bag and have it handy. Let’s not forget the convenient cafe downstairs! Just an amazing and comfortable atmosphere. Highly recommend and have been telling people already.

Nothing everything was great!

This is the second time I've stayed at this location, and I'm happy to say that it truly does not disappoint. For its price point, it provides you with most of what you need for an overnight trip. I especially love the bath on the 9th floor - the outdoor tub is a treat in itself.

The hostel's location is a little bit tricky to find if you aren't familiar with Shinsaibashi, but it is totally accessible if you know how to get there. The futons in the capsules might be a little uncomfortable if you aren't used to sleeping on the floor, but they are clean and well-looked after.

This place exceeded my expectation. I was happy to try out the capsule-like space and it was a very comfortable sized Demi-room (just couldn’t stand up in it. It was cozy, the extras like the pyjamas, hair and body cleansers, the public bath, the privacy (male/female), the open, modern design. So worth it.

The price difference from weekend and weekday was shocking when I needed to book an extra night. That was my only ‘meh’ feeling about it. But I liked the space so much I was happy to splurge for the Friday night rate

Where do I start? It's such a steal of an accomodation. I couldn't believe how much you get for paying not even $50! The staff is incredibly attentive, detail oriented and friendly! After checking in, you're provided with pajamas, the bathrooms are super nice, with every necessity for girls, clean showers, state of the art toilets with the latest bidet technology, and the room was so spacious I thought I could've been doing this for my entire trip! Very modern and upscale capsule hotel I'd stay months in. I also lost my camera lens, it's tiny, the size of a nail, I couldn't find it myself but later they found it and shipped it to my next hotel! I left that hotel by that time but waiting on my last hotel to send it to me to the States! Thank you for the staff for sending my camera lens!!!!!! I was hopeless but you guys went above and beyond to cover your guests' needs, great hospitality indeed!

This was my first time staying at a capsule hotel in a long time and it was even better than I'd remembered! The capsules are comfortable and have everything you'd need for a short stay. The bathroom and toilet facilities are always spotless and the toiletries being provided is such a nice touch. The location, in the heart of Asakusa, is great for first time visitors to Tokyo and a great base to explore from.

Sometimes they started the cleaning a little early
