Spacious room, shopping street and restaurants are literally 10 seconds, not 10 minutes away. There is no room key, you simply enter a passcode, and the door even lock itself once you enter the room.

They are so strict about their check in time. I arrived at the hotel at 14:15, and I was told I could only do the check in at 3PM. There was a false alarm during my stay, I was waken up from my sleep and got evacuated, in the end, it turned out to be a false alarm. The evacuation was really good and efficient, not sure if this is a good or bad experience, but definitely something I didn't expect during my stay.

Location was amazing so close to everything. The room was spacious for 3 young adults, balcony for fresh air and drying washing. 3 way bathroom very convenient when sharing a room with friends. Having a kitchen and full size fridge extremely convenient. Having a washing machine in the bathroom area was convenient given travelling for a month washing is required. Would recommend for a family or group of friends wanting a great location for everything.

Staff were very confused upon arrival, communication was a bit difficult. We booked a family room which has 4 beds, originally for 2 people, however plans changed and a additional friend joined us. I notified the property of this via email and received a reply back saying no problem, we have booked a family room and it takes upto 4 guests. Upon arrival they then requested an additional $500 AU for this, yet never mentioned this in their email when acknowledging the extra guest. It was resolved, we paid the extra as it was very difficult communicating - but just a heads up if this happens and you have your guest numbers change, be aware that you will have extra costs. A dryer would be great, especially travelling in winter, there was room above the washing machine for one.

Takuto Hotel Osaka Shinsaibashi is awesome and we really enjoyed our stay (family of four - kids 11 & 12yrs). The hotel is situated in a great neighborhood and only 30m from the Shinsaibashi covered shopping street. Lots of food options and grocery stores close by. Perfect room for a family with a washing machine, kitchenette, bath tub, and drying room. Close to subway stations (Hommachi & Shinsaibashi - both 4 blocks away - about 5min walk) and very easy to get around. The hotel is fairly new and very clean. The staff were friendly and easy to communicate with. Our room was serviced every few days, which was perfect. Will definitely stay again.

Location was perfect. Not too close to Dotonbori but not far either. I love how Shinsaibashi Suji is only 1/2 block from the hotel. The Osaka Metro station stattion is very close. Within the hotel there are 3 stations within walking distance (7 minutes) walking to each stations. The stations are Namba, Crysta and Hommachi station.

We were there 4 days and 3 nights, and the whole. Time we were there NOT once our room was being clean. Sadly the washer has no dryer, so you have to hang your clothes in the balcony over night or during the day and hoping your clothes gets dry on time

I like that our hotel room is spacious and comfortable. The toilet and bathroom are separated which is great. The washing machine is very useful. And there’s even a kitchen which is equipped with utensils if one feels like cooking (but we didn’t as there were numerous restaurants and convenience store lined up at the foot of the hotel).

During the check-in, there was a bit of confusion between the staff and ourselves. I blame it on the language barrier. I didn’t quite understand what the staff was trying to convey. In the end, I figured out that the staff is making us choose between housekeeping and quo cards. It wasn’t explained what the quo card is for. Nevertheless, the staff was nice and polite.

Big beds, roomy enough for 4 adults. Bigger room than typical Japanese hotel. Similar to living in a condominium. With additional amenities 1.kitchen with basic kitchen utensils (pots, pan, knife, chopping board...) 2.with oven toaster aside from microwave oven and coffee pod and water kettle. 3. with washing machine, ironing board Self service - minimal contact with reception only thru check in. Self check out If bills are settled early on. Key less = Passcode given upon check in Besides Shinsaibashi shopping street. More quiet since you are at the end of Shinsaibashi shopping street. But still plenty of drug store and restaurants, convenience stores.

Besides Shinsaibashi shopping street but this is at the end of Shinsaibashi street already so it is not the center of everything. Though. It's just a straight walk... This is considered from Dotonbori Glico area. It's a 10 minutes walk to DAIMARU (Shinsaibashi station) if you are going to take the train. So if you are tired walking the whole day you will feel it's far. Hotel room = wished they can change the coffee table to a higher table that can act as a standing table so you can at least eat properly when you bring food to your hotel.

Very easy check in and out and like that rooms had key codes instead of physical keys. The room was massive by Japanese standards. Plenty of space to lay out luggage. Loved that there is a washing machine and the Japanese bathroom has an extraction fan which enables clothes to be dried quickly inside. Good little kitchenette area with a micro oven, microwave and cooktop. Comfortable beds.

Couldn’t sleep well - insulation between rooms on the same floor was good however it sounded like there was a herd of elephants above us who were stampeding both late at night and early morning for all three nights we were there. Very frustrating. If it wasn’t for that, I would give this place a 10/10.

The shower and soaps available were excellent. The beds were comfortable and there was decently enough space. It was also a nice touch to get some bottles of water at arrival and after the room had been cleaned. The little additional commodities like toothpaste and brushes, razors and stuff were very welcome as we traveled.

Perhaps not "didn't like" but some confusing stuff. The dimmer on the lights didn't work so they would be super bright. The air conditioning would also go on super hard before turning off and waiting for the temperature to drop before bumping back on again full force. The pillows took a bit to get used to with one side being filled with something somewhat coarse. Overal still great value, and the location is nothing to write home about. But it's fairly central, you can get most places by foot, or take the public transport from there.

The hotel is very clean and has all the amenities in it. We stayed very comfortably in all our 7 nights stay. The staff cleaned our two connecting rooms every 3 days .The location is great and just with a few steps you are already in the Shinsaibashi area where you'll see lots of convenience stores such as 7-11,Family Mart,Lawson and numbers of department stores, big and small catering to all,low end to high end type of shoppers.Going further with 10-15 minutes walk, you'll end up at Dotonbori area where the actions are. There you see the iconic Glico Man sign and plenty of Osaka street foods. The hotel is approximately 600 meters near the Shinsaibashi metro station of Midosuji Line, where you can start your journey all around Osaka. We would definitely comeback to this hotel in our next trips to Osaka.
