Located not far from Shin-Osaka Station, about 5-8minutes walk. So, if you're bringing luggages be prepared to walk a bit. Not a hustle-bustle area like Dotonbori, it's pretty quiet, busy with office workers during the day. Hotel looks pretty new and clean. There are 2 Lawson nearby. A small one can be access from the first floor of the hotel, and another is just around the corner just outside. There are laundry room, on the 4th floor, but it's small. Only 4 washer+dryer are available for 20 something floors hotel. Make sure to have a handful 100 JPY coins, and don't buy the drinks on the vending machines just outside because I did as I needed change, only to receive many 50JPY coins as a change. Anyway, the hotel has a changing machine on the 2nd floor just next to the elevator. The front desk staff should have explained about this to the customer when they check in. Allow at least 1.5 hrs to dry the clothes as the washer/dryer is quite small and not powerful as the machines used at coin laundry. Room's big enough for us to open our luggages. Comfortable, pretty basic. It's clean, all amenities are provided. Love the fact that the toilet is separated from the bath. Staffs are helpful, fluent in English and some speak other languages too. I requested to send my luggages to Tokyo, and they handle it with no issues. Paid about 40CAD for 2 luggages size +/- 140cm with total weight less than 20kg. Overall this is a very nice hotel, and the price is fair, though it is not in a most touristic area, it's not far and easily accessible too by train.

Very new, very clean. Unlimited self served drinks eg juice, tea and coffee at restaurant in the afternoon. On sen is properly maintained though small but not crowded. Breakfast is exceptional with good quality and lots of varieties. It was ¥1500 before July 3, now ¥2200. Our room is the family room type with tatami sitting area. Very spacious, esp for kids to hang out or eat. In the room we have washing machine, microwave, mini fridge and air purifier. Very considerate set up. Lawson is at ground floor so can buy some easy food if prefer to stay in for dinner 7 mins walk from JR/ Shinkansen/ Metro station. Super convenient if you hop over to Kyoto, Nagoya or Kobe for day trips since Shinkansen is just mins of walk away.
A few weeks before we came, I accidentally cancelled the last night of my booking. I immediately (literally within 2 mins) informed hotel and Booking.com about the incident and requested for reinstatement. Hotel directly replied to me with a NO, unless I paid a much higher room rate for that night. I raised my concern with Booking.com and I got a positive reply but after 2-3 days. In between I booked the last night in Agoda and managed to get it smoothly and at a good rate without breakfast. So all resolved. But the inflexibility and unfriendliness from the hotel’s original reply was enough to keep a bitter taste to me

I loved this hotel. It was conveniently near the train station, so moving around was easy. This place made my stay in Osaka memorable. I liked the view from my hotel room on one of the upper floors. The onsen was a nice option which I used almost every evening. It's also nice that a Lawson supermarket is just next to the hotel. Overall enjoyable experience and I hope I'll return one day.
Finding the right exit from the train station that would take me to the hotel was a bit tricky. I didn't have trouble getting to the metro/train station, but every day ended up at a different exit :-). It seems I need to come back to practice my orientation skills :-).

In the Karaksa Hotel we literally felt at home. From the personal to the rooms everyhing was perfect. Remarkable are its Onsens (public baths), which we visited every day after visiting the city, this gave us the right closure to our days.
We could only find two negative points: - During the breakfast just single use cups were used. We would have preferred reusable to reduce environmental impact. - Albeit the breakfast buffet has a big variety of food, I missed some larger offer for lactose intolerance people like me. These are just two minor dateils that should not keep you agai from booking this Hotel!

Clean comfortable rooms. A few minutes walk to the Shin Osaka Metro. The staff are very nice and friendly. Buffet breakfast is great and they charge the menu each day. They also sell boxes for those who need extra luggage space. The welcome drinks is very generous. A good value for money
Our stay would have been perfect if we didn’t use the laundry area. There was only four combined washing machine/dryer and we have to wait for more than an hour for our turn. Then we have to keep extending the drying function as the machines were not that good and the queue was pretty long, thus, it was pretty stressful situation as we felt bad drying our clothes.

We had a room at a high floor in the hotel, facing the train station. The view from the room was spectacular, both during the day and at night. Train enthusiasts can watch trains (both local and high-speed trains entering the station) directly from their room window and fall asleep to the regular train sounds (but do not worry, trains stop to operate in the evening, so they won't disturb your sleep). The location is nearby the Shin-Osaka train station, but the hotel is not directly connected to the station. At first it was a bit difficult to find (especially because the huge train station layout). Hint: take an exit from the station near McDonald's and then walk along the street. When booking, I recommend to precisely distinguish between Osaka and Shin-Osaka stations (their location is not the same, so do not mix them up). The breakfast was great, but at one day (we stayed 10 days in total) it was a little bit crowded when we arrived. But the hotel informs about the times when it is less busy. The room was well-equipped, there was everything we need. We appreciated the precise room service giving us e.g. new face masks regularly.

It was reasonably close to Shin-Osaka station. Most of the rooms are small but the in-house onsen and hotel’s kind assistance to arrange for 1 of 2 rooms to be a bigger one made up for it. Access to the guests lounge for drinks, free wifi before check-in and after check-out are also much appreciated.
Small rooms and unpleasant encounter with a guest who turned up 2 hrs late to collect her laundry (waited from 5:30am -7;30am) She didn’t even apologise.,Not the hotel’s fault. I should have said something to her. Will be even better if the family mart could be bigger - find the aisles too cramp. But staff and family mart staff are helpful and nice.

The rooms are spacious. Amenities good. Beds comfortable. Staff helpful and plentiful. For the price point (about AUD$200 per night for a twin), it's much better value than other places we stayed in Japan. The public communal bath was good. Well equipped. There's a building next door with lots of restaurants. There's also a well-equipped convenience store next door. It's a 6 minute walk from Shin Osaka station.
The location is amid office buildings. There's not much atmosphere in the neighbourhood. The shopping districts are a train trip away. The laundry has combined washer dryers. They take ages and don't properly dry your clothes.

1) Great staff, great service from reception to housekeeping. Able to communicate in English. Also some staff able to speak other languages. Even those who cannot speak English (housekeeping staff mainly), they were very willing to try their best to assist. 2) Great location, within 5-10mins walk from Metro (exit 4) and JR (including bullet trains.) Only 2 stations (~5mins subway ride) to the most popular area Umeda in Osaka. Also within 20-30mins subway ride to all other Osaka city attractions (eg. Namba.) For those wanting to travel on bullet trains (eg. Kyoto, Okayama, Hiroshima) this hotel in Shin-Osaka is a great pick, better than those in Osaka/Umeda. 3) Some restaurants and convenient stores within 1-2 mins walk. 4) Room reasonable size, clean. Bathroom was great, although we rarely used it. Sound-proof was good. Air-con was comfortable. Bidet toilet available without surprise. 5) Public bath was great, even better than expected. Opening hours 2pm-1am, then again 5-10am. 6) Lots of free stuff for the convenience of customers (individually packed of body soap, lotion, face milk, razors, comb, cotton buds; also reusable bags to hold them - very considerate design.) Also face wash, shampoo, conditioner, shaving foam, slippers, toothbrush/toothpaste, very comfortable pajamas etc in rooms and public bath. 7) Very generous drink supply, free for customers from 2-10pm. Includes soft drinks and coffee. 8) Washing machine available, 500yen per wash + dry. 9) Daily refilled bottled water and masks. 10) Wifi was speedy. 11) World cup available on TV. 12) Full room cleaning only done once every 4 days (customers can pick the days), but on request they still change towels, clean bins, make up beds daily. 13) Very new hotel. 6 elevators available so never had to wait for than 1-2 minutes even during peak hours. 14) I made two separate bookings as plans changed before the trip. They were able to combine them for me when arranging so I didn't have to check-out.
Nothing to complain. If I have to be extremely picky... then perhaps have an extra clock in the changing room outside the public bath.

We loved the stay at karaksa hotel. We had a 20th floor joined room which has a spectacular view with beautiful own bathrooms. The hotel also has big sharing baths and they supplied pyjama. The hotel is very new and clean. They had free unlimited welcome drink at a cafe which was very nice in hot weather. Sadly we checked in late and had to checkout very early in the morning. We wish we had more time to enjoy the view and bath! Only thing you need to know is that they don’t open restaurant for dinner time. You need to eat outside or bring food. There is a confident store on 1st floor which was very useful. We will definitely stay in Karaksa hotel next time we visit in Osaka! Thank you!
We wish they serve dinner at hotel. We had to eat convenience store bento.
