The hotel is located about a 10 minutes walk from the West Entrance to Shinjuku Rail Station. There is a small entrance about a 3 minutes walk, down to the subterranean level. This connects through a series of winding 'tunnels' entrances to adjoining buildings and can lead you to Shinjuku Rail Station but the network of tunnels is so large, I got confused and kept taking wrong turns which doubled or tripled my journey time and distance! As Japanese properties go, the hotel room was large and the shower in the en-suite was really powerful and so welcome after sweating all day, sightseeing! There are plenty of convenience stores and places to eat within a 5 - 10 minutes walk so you'll not starve or go thirsty. The room's air conditioning was great and there was, also, an air purifier in my room which was an added bonus. Finally, I must mention the checking-in and checking-out 'machine'. You type in your details and it provided me with 2 key cards when I checked in and I typed in a few details and put my key cards in, when I checked out and that was it! Thankfully, there was a staff member on hand who oversaw what I was doing but it, literally, took 2 mins each time and was so easy. I would've mentioned the helpful staff but I found everyone I had any interaction with (restaurant staff, railway staff, shop staff, etc.) was just as friendly and eager to help so can attribute some of this to their social norms.

It may be a small point but there was no TV channels which had any English spoken. Usually, you get the BBC World News Service or similar but not in this hotel. For such a technologically advanced society the absence of such a service is astonishing. During my visit, Japan was being hit by hurricanes / tropical storms so I had to use the internet to keep updated and it would've been nice to watch 'something' on TV to relax and wind down at the end of a day of sightseeing. Not a major thing but something to be aware of if considering this hotel.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly and very quick to address any issue. The price is reasonable and the location, with access to make subway and JR lines, is fantastic. It's also very quiet. Also I love the lighting options in the room.

The only thing that is disappointing here is the fact that the Wi-Fi is quite poor. It disconnects every 20 minutes or so, which makes video calls impossible. My phone, gaming device and laptop all experience this issue and I tried it on multiple floors.

I already live in Tokyo, so, to answer the previous question (method of transport) - I walked to this hotel (from my place)! It's located in Shinjuku (Nishi-West), so, the location is absolutely fantastic (Shinjuku is considered 'the centre' of Tokyo) and, the location is all the better when it manages to be in a relatively quiet part of Shinjuku, but just short walks away from the very centre/heart of things...; the room was immaculately clean and very comfortable with all modern facilities; there was a view from my window and the window actually opened - so welcome, and a rarity in Japanese hotels; I used the microwave (very conveniently located close to my room); I liked the creams (cosmetics) made available among the amenities; there was a seating and table area in the room...

There was actually nothing - that I can think of right now - that I didn't like...(I cannot remember the number of hangers in the room, but, more than 3, and an ECO Housekeeping policy, get thumbs up from me!); Ah, Check out at 10 (11 is better...)...

The reception was very pleasant and accommodating. The hotel is a 2min walk from Nishi-Shinjuku station and 10min walk to Shinjuku station The hotel is right beside a university hospital and police station too. So the only noise is the ambulance. Across the street is a McDonald’s and next door a 7/11. There’s also a cafe on the same floor as the hotel lobby. There are self serve lockers, free of charge for guests. The nightlife is on the opposite side (east side, while the hotel is on the west side) of Shinjuku station so it’s close but not close enough to have to hustle and bustle of party goers nearby. For a female solo traveller I felt very safe walking home late at night and the street is not sketchy at all. The hotel does room cleaning every other day, but provide fresh towels daily. If you want your garbage empty just leave it out your front door. The cleaning staff is all female too. The top floor is for females only and they have their own laundry room. Otherwise, the laundry room (coin operated, and it’s a separate washer & dryer) for all guests are on another floor. Overall, the room size is standard for Japanese. But small for Westerners standard. However, for a female solo traveller like myself, it was definitely enough space. I highly recommend Nishitetsu Inn Shinjuku 👍

Overall very clean, a little dust on the carpet bc it’s an older building but rooms are provided with air purifiers

A well organised hotel with great service and a very clean and tidy room. Room was a good size with a well appointed bathroom. We found the room to be of excellent value and it is almost next door to the Nishi-Shinjuku metro station. This made our initial travelling around Tokyo a real breeze. Alternatively it's only a short walk to the centre of Shinjuku from the hotel which meant our first day was a magical walk to the bright lights of Tokyo and made our adventure all the more special. Thank you Nishitetsu for being trusty, reliable and comfortable.

Iron wasn't brilliant as it kept losing heat due to being cordless. However, from our subsequent stays we found that this type of iron is very common in Japanese hotels so it's not a particular gripe with Nishitetsu per se.

The staff were very hospitalitable, the rooms were well maintained and clean, the toiletries provided were very generous (even free umbrella rentals for the one rainy day we were there)! It was convenient that there were multiple floors for laundry (though we didn't utilize this benefit), lockers in the lobby floor for daytime luggage storage, and the staff were able to communicate passably with us in English. Location is great - couple minutes walk from a number of subway station entrances, a convenience store is next door, a dollar store is just at the corner a few steps further in case you forgot any travel amenities the hotel doesn't provide.

The room had just enough walking space for really one person with one small to medium-sized luggage. There was not much space to store or open your luggage if you had more/if you had larger luggage. I do believe this type of hotel is aimed to be more of a business hotel for single overnight businessmen, so this is more on us as tourists for booking this type of room. For two petite young women, we were able to make it work but if we were any bigger/had more stuff it would have been uncomfortable.

They location was great. 5-10 minute walk to Shinjuku station and the night life which meant quiet stay. The staff spoke English and were very helpful with any questions or issues. Nagano Snow Shuttle drops you off right around the corner. My sister and her family stayed at and expensive hotel in the middle of Shinjuku on the 36 floor and said she couldn't sleep because of the noise.

We didn't get the breakfast as we weren't sure if it was a Japanese or English breakfast. It's very hard to find a place that makes an English style breakfast in Japan.

Great budget hotel to fit our needs. We stayed a total of 4 nights here. The hotel is only a 2 minute walk to the Maranouchi Line and a 10 minute walk to the Shinjuku station, so anywhere we needed to take the metro to, it was easily within walking distance. As for the room, it was a tight fit with the double-sized bed and two carry-on luggages, but that is what we expected thanks to the room description. Anything more than that would have been crowded. There are some basic amenities available in the lobby such as toothbrush or razor, but there are also 7/11 and Family Mart close by if you need to run out and grab something. Great water pressure in the shower and the air conditioning worked great, especially after walking around the in the hot August weather.

You can hear noise coming from the hallway, but it wasn't enough to be disruptive or lose sleep over.

Amazing location, in Shinjuku where it’s accessible to many hot spots, yet in a safe and quiet lane with a 7-11 a few steps away. 3 min walk from the nearest train station. Hot water was a respite in the cold, strong and immediate. Heating was consistent everywhere in the room. Bed was really comfortable.

Tight space for two, neither of us could open our luggage fully. Room cleaning, which happened on alternate days of our stay, was not done properly so our bath tub was a little clogged with hair before and after the cleaning.
