The location, the pool, the lobby, the Strong Water Tavern, were all so AMAZING!!! we LOVED the water taxi, the Fitness center was the nicest I've ever seen at a hotel, and the kids LOVED the pool

The only problem we encountered was the long line at the coffee shop. But Starbucks was just next door.

Reception and all downstairs staff were excellent, which is why I have given a superb rating as they could not have done more, but the cleaning staff were very poor. Made the mistake of leaving a tip on the first day, rather than last like we normally do. Big shout out to Syl who helped us on the check in when we had an issue. Pool area is very good and there are games dotted around. Cabanas are good and not too badly priced. Theming of the hotel and grounds is excellent. Food was good and although theme park/hotel prices, it wasn't as bad as Disney.

Room cleaning staff only cleaned 5 out of 9 days and always left us short of coffee making items and bathroom items, such as shampoo, body wash, conditioner and clean towels. Reported a broken shower curtain was causing the bathroom to flood on day 2. Hadn't been fixed by the time we left on day 9! Needs more USB's

great location, close to all the parks with regular and reliable transport. The room was clean and comfortable with a great view of the pool. the restaurants are very nice and the cafe is good although pricy. The pool area is fantastic, we loved it around the pool. Service throughout the hotel was fantastic, everyone was friendly and welcoming especially Roxy on the front desk.

It is a lot more expensive than the hotel we stayed at Disney. Water is especially expensive, we noticed a big price difference at universal in comparison to Disney.

The pet friendliness of this resort. They even gave us a food bowl for each dog, a Lowe's pet tag, a food dish mat, some treats, and a doggie poo bag dispenser with a roll of bags. The kids loved the pool. And we all loved the convenient boat transportation to City Walk. It only took a few minutes to get from the resort to the dock in City Walk.

We had to pay for parking per night; though, we would have had to pay at Universal Studios if we had stayed off property so it all washes out. They charge $15+tx a night for a microwave, and $25+tx per night for a roll away. We had a 13-year-old girl and a 16-yr-old boy with us and only two queen beds. Though, this seems to be the problem nationwide with hotels.

The room was great, clean, great view, bed was great. Water Taxi was awesome and provided and easy form of transportation to the park. Staff operating the boats were great. Play "Country Roads" by John Denver on the trip back to hotel when the parks closed was a very innovative piece of entertainment. Staff at front desk were very helpful.

Way too eager cleaning staff that woke us at 8AM, one day attempted to enter. Guys if I over slept an it was 11AM I understand but the purpose of a trip to Universal is to step out to the park for an exhausting evening of fun and lots of walking and the last thing on my mind should be having the cleaning crew having surprise wake up calls early in the AM. Going to pool to find out that blocks of chairs have been reserved. Pools and chairs should be available to everyone. Restaurants were nice, but with the parks closing late I would hope that meals might be available to 11PM. If you don't have transportation you are out of luck and left hungry for the night.

It was close to a Walmart, Target , and many off site restaurants. I bought my souvenirs off site for a fraction of the price. The pool was great. The omelets at Amatista were amazing but pricey. The restaurant staff was very attentive.

The on site restaurants were so expensive but I guess that's the price you pay for convenience. Why does it cost additional to park at the hotel? I bought a regular sized drink (Cuban Colada)at the pool and it cost $20.11. Ouch!! That kept me from drinking too much.

I liked how we could check in our luggage immediately upon arrival before our Checkin time. The water taxi was convenient to get to CityWalk and the parks! It was my grandmother’s favorite part of the trip. This transportation option allowed her to come out to meet me when she was ready and allowed her to leave from the parks whenever she was tired to go back and rest at the hotel.

I wish in the standard room there was a water boiler to boil water. also it would be nice if the fridge had a small freezer component. but these things are just extra, it didn’t impact my stay at all

This resort is lovely, it’s well maintained and is very clean, has great facilities and you can get a water taxi right outside to Universal’s Citywalk and the two Universal Studios parks. The pool area is lovely and the on-site restaurants excellent. Our room overlooked the lagoon and was very comfortable for four of us. Early park entry was a bonus to get into The Wizarding World of Harry Potter early.

The main restaurant was a little expensive but that’s to be expected at an on-site Universal hotel.

Loved the location, water taxis and attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble.

We visited during the summer (July) so humidity and heat were exceptional. Due to threat of lightening the pool was often closed sometimes for hours. It is for safety but did seem a bit excessive that you couldn’t sit by the pool rather than be in it - some days we waited hours for the pool to reopen. The restaurant options were ok but you do tire of the options and shop is very expensive for tea, coffee, pastries etc.

The hotel was absolutely beautiful with great facilities. Our room was very comfortable and had a lovely pool view for which we’d paid extra (and it was worth it). The pool area was fantastic with lots of sunbeds and towels and the grounds were pretty and well tended. We liked the little shop/take away as you could buy breakfast cereals and milk, sandwiches and hot items at dinner time, ice cream and bakery items, etc. There were seats where you could eat what you’d bought or take them to your room. There was also another useful shop which sold souvenirs and some toiletries and medicines. The young man who checked us in on arrival, Collin, was very helpful, and ensured we had a room on a high floor, as we’d requested. We liked the little boat which took us to the theme parks or if you had the time and energy, you could walk in around fifteen minutes. We would definitely stay there again and would recommend it to others - in fact we already have!

There was nothing we didn’t like or that we thought needed improvement.
