The resort is beautiful and the villa was really lovely with good amenities including little gifts when our room was turned down at night. The staff were absolutely fantastic; the first villa we were given didn't have as much privacy as we wanted so they quickly found us another that was much more suitable. They were polite, friendly and welcoming. Good selection of food at breakfast. We loved the bikes, which were great for getting around the resort.

The only thing that disappointed us was that the website etc makes it appear the resort is mainly for adults but there were a lot of young children there when we stayed. For adults seeking some peace and quiet, I would suggest the hotel considers a separate adults-only swimming pool and perhaps a dedicated section for families in the restaurant etc. I'm not sure we would have booked to stay here had we known the guests were predominantly families.

The whole place was absolutely stunning. From the main check-in area, to the lake, and our beautiful suites. Our suite was also super private and quiet which was nice. They offer a range of activities to keep you entertained and even provide a beach bag for when you go to banyan beach.

The food at the Waterfront restaurant was a hit or miss. We ordered the salmon and beef the first night and it was AMAZING, but the second night we ordered the pork and chicken and it was subpar.

Great resort and really enjoyed our stay. Banyan tree cafe was amazing! Right on Bangtao beach and can shuttle boat to canal village and boat avenue was really convenient.

Breakfast could be improved. Food was often cold or gone dry. Too many bugs in room. As this resort is in the Laguna area and by the lagoon... be prepared to be bitten by Mosquitos!

Breakfast really need improvement, quality of bread , croissants for example not fresh and in general its not a 5 star hotel breakfast ( i will give the lowest quality among all 5 start hotels in phuket )

A good variety of international and local food options. The 2 bed villa had a double and twin room both ensuite with additional outdoor bath/ shower facilities . The room service menu was good value and wide choices for when restaurants were too much faff! The villa pool was kept cleaned daily.

Some evening’s restaurant facilities were taken over by corporate clients, held special menu options not suitable for all which meant the onsite dining experience became rather limited. The hotel is located in a secure area with a few other hotels/ private residence accommodation- as such you are pretty isolated from any other local facilities so if you like being out and about on foot this is not easy to do from here. The gym facilities are poor for a hotel of this quality- adequate- equipment is limited and a little old.

It's amazing! Waking up to huge private pool is a great experience! I highly recommend this hotel! And it is a great value. I wish I could stay longer!! Food is EXCELLENT!

It's AMAZING!

Overall this is without a doubt one of the best hotels/ villas we have stayed in We stayed in the signature double room private pool villa - size was perfect for our family (2 kids 10, 12) The pool depth was just within my daughters reach so was fine (131cm) The facilities, restaurants, staff and all top notch You can use buggies but it’s not far to walk around really 5-10mins you can get anywhere. The main public pool is also great with fun little lazy river and waterfalls. The Bang Tao beach is short walk across the road - there were some jellyfish some days but otherwise a lovely beach If you are active and want to get out around Phuket or even go for walks then Banyan tree is quite a far way from most places. We made friends with a local taxi driver and everyday we went started our days with the amazing buffet breakfast - then a swim in our pool and then our for the day and back for evening swim and then out for dinner and late night swim

A couple of suggestions for the pool villas - there is nowhere to hang out swimming wear and towels outside - we took a camping line and put it between two big pot plants. So somewhere to hang swim wear etc would be good (draping on chair can easily blow away in wind) also for families having pool floaties is fun and the hotel provided us a couple and we took one, but due to the heat they need to be pumped up everyday. Hotel doesn’t provide air pumps and took the floaties away and pumped up. Each villa should have an air pump or at least have a number to loan to guests Loved our 6 days at Banyan tree!

Property is nice and villa design is nice and pool is big. Staff friendly. Resort is beautiful and villa beautiful. Welcoming was great. Air condition in the room is very good. Outside shower is wow.

Staff should be trained to accommodate guest requests when made as they are made for a reason. Such as early check in (just 1 hour early because we coming from international flight) , spray the villa against insects, and late check out especially when you staying long duration. Room service food could be better.
