Breakfast buffet was very good with a variety of food and drink, air conditioning also which is necessary this time of year, friendly staff in a quiet location, would use again if in the area.

The standard room was fairly small although adequate, but the bathroom very cramped with very little room between the door and wash basin. The evening fish and chips meal turned out to be overcooked with the fish mostly batter, just about ate mine as I didn't want to complain but my wife sent hers back as it was uneatable, a member of staff ordered a replacement which was much much better and we were given a discount off the final bill but it was hard to understand how food that was obviously of low standard got as far as the customer.

Warm friendly welcome any problems they wer delt with, staff really nice & polite on reception & dinning room, who were really friendly to our grandson which he loved not to mention is special VIK wrist band lol ,food was lovely although could be warmer.

We stayed there with our 7 year old grandson so he was on a pull out bed which didn't have any bedding on it or for it in the room apart from a quilt, we made do for the first night but mentioned it to the young lass who was seeing to the rooms the following morning thinking she would at least put some in the room, but when we came back that evening she hadn't, so mentioned it to reception she couldn't apologise enough & said she would see to it which she did, Thank you didn't get her name.

We didn't have breakfast, our room was good and we both slept well. We stopped there again on our return journey and this time we were put in a disabled room an d it was fantastic, the walk in shower was the best ever for both of us, so big and a beautiful powerful shower the best we have ever had. The TV was a good size screen that we watched in bed and all the staff on both occasions were polite and courteous and could not have done anymore for us to make us welcome. We will definitely be using Holiday Inn again.

There was nothing not to like, everything was great in faked perfect and perfect cannot be beaten. Just keep on doing what you are doing and we will tell our friends how good it was and we will be using Holiday Inn again when I am judging in other parts of the country. ( ps I am an International Championship Canine judge and I judge un the UK and around the world)

Very nice well presented reception area, didn’t visit the restaurant as we travelled with a dog so couldn’t use it. I really liked that there was snacks, pot noddles, cans of pop available to buy at reception which I haven’t seen before at other hotel chains I have stayed in. Nice touch as well with complementary water and juice available. Staff was very friendly

We ran into an issue during our stay, the hot water wasn’t working properly in the room wasn’t even warm so went down to reception and they couldn’t sort the issue so they moved us room. The lady who switched our room was very kind and accommodating, she brought up some dog treats and a box of biscuits as an apology for the inconvenience which I thought was a really nice touch. The room was okay, a bit tatty and tired and the bathrooms are absolutely tiny, I think for the money you should get more for the money, if it was £20 or so cheaper it would be alright but things like the carpets stained, the bed base was very worse for wear, nothing major. Just needs attention to detail, I would stay again in the room was cheaper.

Clean and tidy, very (too) warm. Room and bed spacious. Bathroom tiny but functional with decent sized toiletries provided. Shower was invigorating. Good menu and food was filling. Breakfast variety fantastic. Staff very helpful and we're willing to interact and converse in good humour. Snow on departure - beautiful! - didn't phase us and we were very impressed how well the roads were looked after when we set off on our long home to Scotland.

Requested change of pillows which didn't happen. Traffic noise didn't let up, perhaps due to single glazing. Room temp was too hot and even with temp reduced to 16 it didn't make much if any difference. No toilet brush - fine for one night stayers but not for longer stays. An over mirror light would have been handy rather than the adjustable table light provided.

The staff were exceptional and friendly. They cared for my elderly mother and were attentive to my young son who has additional needs. The room was clean, smelt fresh, and we were very grateful for the air con on this extremely hot weekend. The breakfast was brilliant. Lots of choice and availability.

The bed settee could have been made up as the booking indicated the room was for 3 people. Once brought to the attention at reception this was immediately seen to.

Very clean, nice staff and good value for money, liked the room and curtains to make total dark room during a sunny day.

When you take a heavy luggage from reception area towards the accommodation gangway, there are like 10 stairs without a lift quite fun to lift them all up, only one lift working for 6 storey hotel. 4 stars hotel with no aircon and very warm room once hot outside...the bed - like everywhere at Holiday Inn or Express .. The mattraces are always very soft.

We had two rooms, both were very clean and comfortable. The reception staff were super friendly and helpful. Good variety of breakfast items - more than most other hotels.

We had a room with an accessible bathroom, which unfortunately had no blind or curtain. Contents and people using the bathroom were clearly visible from the walkway. Although everything else was fantastic, this was an unfortunate and unacceptable mark against what would have been a perfect stay.

No tea or milk in room (we arrived late at night. I am sure if we had told reception this would have been sorted). Large queues at Bar to order lunch. There was a function on, but only one bar with two staff working very hard. Overall in parts our rooms slightly tired looking Holiday Inn - but still very good value for money

There’s someone on reception 24/7 Reasonable with check in and check out times as we was going to a festival they let us check in early. They have a 24 hour menu so when we arrived late and hungry we could order food and be served to our room. We had staff knock on to ask us if we needed anything. The bar downstairs was useful while waiting for a taxi to the festival would highly recommend this hotel!

There wasn’t nothing not to like.
