The place just opened up. (seems like it was rebranded - as there are reviews for booking.com) however it is clear everything is BRAND new. The place is still missing a few final touches (washroom by the pool) but apart from it is ready for guests. We paid around 120€ for a night. Staff (5 stars) The staff is super friendly and they do try to make your stay as pleasant as possible. They were quick to respond to all the small issues we had. There are a few sister hotels nearby and they try to be accommodating. Amenities: Elevators: There are 2 elevators for floors 8 to to 14. I think the floors below will be opened soon. This will be an issue going forward. Room: (4 stars) There is lots of cool technology in the room, usb plugs, buttons for do not disturb/need house cleaning. The sea view (minus half a star) is from the balcony looking 90 degrees you seeing the marina. The beds are two single beds combined, not a queen bed. Since the hotel is brand new, we had to ask them to set up the safe for the first time, which they did within 10 minutes of us informing them. The washroom is missing some small details: - a cup for toothbrush - a hanger for a towel. (there is one, but not enough for two people) Location: Lots of restaurants in the area, 15 euros Uber from airport. The hotel offers taxi for 20 euros, or 25 during the night. Overall the hotel has potential, once they iron out the small kinks it can be great.

Breakfast: (3.5 stars) Overall enough for you to not to hungry. There was nothing super special there. - fresh fruit - 3 types of eggs - beans, hot dogs, bacon - cereal - a few breads, cold cuts Pool: (3.5 stars) There is a pool with a hot tub on the 14th floor. With sunbeds as well. There is also a small bar there. There are umbrellas but it can get windy so you need to tie them down. A few large things need to be improved: - the showers do not have a drain and the water goes across the whole roof and under all the beds. - there are no tables for drinks.

Great location. Great facilities and comfort. Beautiful view of Valletta and Sliema, and near the strand and several restaurants and bars. The staff was very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was also great, except for the uneducated guests that were behaving like animals and grabbing whole baskets of bread, cake, etc, and not leaving them to the other guests.

The pool closing at 6pm makes no sense when the bar closes at 8pm. This should be changed. The hotel also asks guests to leave the credit card details in writing for deposit, which is a big no. If guests don't agree, they have to leave a deposit of 100€ in cash. But that was not a major problem and the deposit was returned without any issues. But asking for credit card details in writing should never happen.

Breakfast was very nice, and Staff was very helpful and friendly. They make the whole atmosphere of this place! The hotel is close to the bus stop, sea, beach, shops, restaurants.

The hotel is still in the construction- you almost does not feel it, but you hear constantly the sound of "renovations". all is new and nice, and sometimes not finished yet, for example in the bathroom there was not a proper bath cabin or hangers for towels. the only window in our big room was a window to a tiny balcony- and without hangers there or in a bathroom it was very complicated to make our clothes dry after taking baths. the description of the room on booking.com does not allow to imagine what type of view from a window you will have. We had a balcony for an inner patio with other balconies 50 cm from yours- it was not mentioned in the description. the description should be more specific, including that because of that rooms lack intimacy.

We recently had the pleasure of staying in Alavits hotel during our vacation, and we must say, it was an absolutely wonderful experience from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warm and friendly staff who made us feel right at home. The hotel's location is truly unbeatable. Situated in the heart of Gzira, it offered us easy access to all the attractions and landmarks we wanted to visit. Whether it was exploring the bustling streets, dining at local restaurants, or enjoying the vibrant nightlife, everything was just a stone's throw away from the hotel. What truly set this hotel apart was their exceptional service. The staff went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable stay. They were always available to assist with any inquiries or requests we had, and their genuine hospitality truly made us feel like valued guests. We were initially assigned a room without the promised sea view, despite booking the sea view option. However, the courteous staff promptly rectified the error by reassigning us to a different room and generously provided a dinner voucher at their hotel as a compensation gesture. The hotel's facilities were equally impressive. The breakfast spread was a delightful way to start each day. We also enjoyed relaxing by the pool area, which provided a tranquil oasis on the hotel rooftop amidst the urban hustle and bustle.

Friendly and very helpful staff, nice rooms with Netflix, Prime, and AC. The pool on the rooftop is a nice touch. We also like the fact that it's in the center of Malta in Gzira, with great restaurants, bars, shops, and attractions on a moment's notice.

On certain days, the wind can be a bit too extreme to enjoy a day at the pool on the rooftop, umbrellas might fall. If you're coming with a rented car, best to talk at the reception about their parking options, you can park on the streets in front of the hotel, which is free, but they are narrow and have heavy traffic throughout the day, there's a good chance you're car might get scratched/bumped into.

Great brand new hotel and in Malta. My friend and I stayed for 5 nights. Hotel is super new, our room had a great size, plenty of space to unpack and hang clothes. The aircon was amazing as well. Bathroom also nice and big. The breakfast was really good with plenty of options for vegetarians. I had to checkout early and they let me have breakfast 30min before it opened, so I could eat before going to the airport. That was really nice of them! Rooftop pool is really nice, amazing views to Valletta and the ocean. Since it is a bit small it got very busy in the evening but that is not a big issue.

The only thing it is not perfect is the hotel is 10min walk from the Sliema ferry to Valletta and to the bus stops that takes you to the majority of the beaches. This wouldn’t be a problem for me but, since it was 40 degrees, the 10min walk felt very uncomfortable.

The hotel was wonderful. Breakfast is simple but good for very warm weather. (You can make an English breakfast with their buffet choice) The rooms for the standard differ. You have 2 types (either very small) or decent size. We had experience both rooms due to a small fault but it was immediately fixed and rooms had been changed. If you are slightly claustrophobic, i dont recommend the basic package. Buy the higher room upgrade

Beds are not together. They are split beds with a zip attached to keep them together. We had no hot water in the last 2 days but only just the middle warmth.

Only 2 days before my arrival I got a message saying that Alavits hotel is not ready to accommodate guests yet, so I was moved to the Azur hotel next door. What makes this hotel exceptional is its staff. Especially Mrs. Roxana - the hotel manager is one of a kind! She went beyond to make me feel comfortable, even arranging a little surprise for me in the room. I can not thank her more. Her dedication and skills belong to a five star hotel! Also housekeeping did a great job! Big thanks to Andres for keeping my room super clean, filling the coffee every day and doing all the little details. I really enjoyed breakfast in this hotel and the location just a few steps from the beach.

Quite a lot of noisy guests but it is not the hotels fault. They should do something about the chairs in the rooms. They make horrible noise.

The hotel was new, therefore it was style-ish and modern. The room was nice, clean, the bed comfy. I liked the led lights very much. The rooftop pool could have been bigger, but it was alright, and the terrace was good too. Staff was very friendly.

The breakfast could have been a bit more varied/diverse, I missed pancakes for example, sausage was blend, it could have been closer to zhe yorkshire sausage with more herbs. But breakfast was always plenty and fresh.
