The entire staff was super friendly. Sergio was there to guide me most days! He always had a sweet smile and gave me information to build my trip itinerary. Laura was amazing at communicating through WhatApp and helping me plan before and during my stay. They have bikes to rent for 12$ a day! Very close to downtown and the beach. Loved Kuukum for their jungle enclosed rooms. Wifi! And nice shower. Not too busy of a place so you feel secluded.

Still a developing area so expect some work! Really dark at night and confusing for the 1st few times coming in and out of the area.

We spent an incredible moments in this little jungle, the apartments are really beautiful and comfortable, every detail in the decoration transmits all the essence of Tulum. The pool on the rooftop with a wonderful view of the treetops. We enjoy a lot of privacy and tranquility, just what we need. Thanks to the Kuukum team!

We loved our stay here!! It was such a beautiful getaway for my partner and I. It felt like our own little oasis. It was quiet and calm, just what we were looking for. The service was incredible & the one meal we did have at the restaurant was delicious. Would definitely recommend to anyone who has a car or means of transportation to The beach!

The beds were a tad bit on the tough side & if you don’t have a car it would be about a 20-30min bike to the beach each day, which was fun when we did it! We did have a car, so it worked out great.

The staff and hotel are amazing!! The rooms are beautiful decorated. Bed is amazing. Wifi works perfect. Sergio and Cesar (reception) are super nice and very helpul. They they did everything to assure I had an amazing stay. Kuukum is a new hotel with amazing facilities. Very clean, pool area is beautiful. They also have security there, so I felt very safe.

You should definately have a ride staying in Aldea Zama (location where the hotel is)/ Kuukum - downtown and Beach Area is few miles away.

This is an amazing place to stay - really friendly staff and clean rooms. Tulum is of course located in the jungle so hard to keep clean from small bugs all the time but the pool was cleaned everyday and there was no problem asking staff to clean it again if it needed it in the afternoon. The breakfasts and lunches were among the best we ate all trip (and the food in Mexico overall is amazing!) so props to the chef! The staff were great at recommending spots for food/activities/hire etc. It is a little outside the center of Tulum but Kuukum offer bike rentals + scooters are quite cheap to rent also. We thought we had an issue with A/C but it was fixed really quickly (we were just being dumb)

No extractor in the bathroom but wasn't a huge issue as we had balcony to open.

The staff was definitely a highlight of our time at Kuukum. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. We definitely felt like we made friends by the time we left. They answered every question we had and got to know us during our time. The room was also great for the price. We had 2 floors including a full kitchen, living room, and 1.5 bathrooms. Made it easier when trying to work from the hotel so we could have our own space to take calls. It was also halfway between the central area and the beach. In some ways inconvenient because you're not super close to either of these main areas, but in other ways, this was nice because if we wanted to get into central, it was a quick bike ride and same for the beach. So it's a great place if you want to move between both areas.

WiFi was shaky when it rained. I also couldn't get much signal in the upstairs (although my friend was able to), but it is a different country with different infrastructure from the US, so I wasn't too surprised. For the overwhelming majority of the time, we were able to operate fine with the WiFi we had. Also, as other reviews said, there was a lingering moisture in the bedroom. Sometimes I would basically feel it was wet when laying on my bed. But it was tolerable and not a major issue

Kuukum is a heavenly place designed to relax and immerse yourself in nature. The staff is very friendly, our stay was the best, being in a hotel with so much nature and trees made us feel like we were in the middle of the jungle, my partner and I were delighted with this place. We will definitely return on our next vacation.

The room was clean, spacious and very comfortable. The terrace with pool relaxing and nice to have. The Staff very helpful.

Absence of elevator, especially when you have roof apartments with terrace you dont enjoy all the stairs. Not suitable for older guests. The rental bikes are terrible, they are in very bad condition and its obivous that rental company doesnt service them at all. However they charge not a little for the rental. Changing for another provider is strongly recommended. The location is in the area, where is lots of constructions happening. If you would like to stay at the hotel during day, its very disturbing. Access to the hotel is limited by one road and the directions are quite confusing. (lots of roundbounds and one way roads with no logic order)

The service was excellent. Very warm and the staff is always smiling and attentive. I loved the pool. My room had a beautiful view of the jungle.

Around a bit of construction, but the hotel is worth it when entering the facilities everything changes and I felt in the middle of the jungle since the hotel is surrounded by many trees and all green.
