Debbie and Tim are superb hosts, welcoming and enthusiastic to share their knowledge of the area. The glowworm guided walk was captivating and Tim's knowledge and passion for the subject as inspiring. The lodge is very clean and comfortable and the facilities are good. Breakfast is a good range of cereals and cooked fare... the eggs are from their own hens, who follow you round the garden. Two nights at the lodge was a wonderful wayvto end our tour of NZ. Thank you Debbie and Tim.
Overall it was an excellent two nights and in most respects more ghan met our expectations. The only possible criticism is that the shower was rather low pressure.

Tim and Debbie were amazing hosts who shared their lovely sanctuary with us in many ways. Great breakfasts and an amazing bush walk. But the top event was the glow worm tour, up close with the glow worms and guided by Tim and Debbie to understand these amazing insects. We also loved the casual birding we did almost every day with them. Such great knowledge and so perfectly shared.
Nothing!

What an absolute treasure Mt Tutu eco sanctuary is! All the lovely personal touches, our fabulous hosts, and the magic place itself... I slept like a log and woke to the birds. It really did feel like a wee slice of private woodland paradise.
Nothing! If you are looking for a 5 star, modern, super high tech hotel stay, you're looking in the wrong place. If you are looking for unique and private down-to-earth accommodation, with great hosts (and delicious cooked breakfast), this is the perfect spot.

Attentive friendly hosts in Tim and Debbie. The 2x toura were a fantastic "extra" as part of the room charge, both definitely worth doing. The twins beds were comfy in the Kereru room and it was a lovely quiet, idyllic break away from the city. We enjoyed the daily complimentary breakfast each day, good cereal selection and delicious free range eggs from the resudent chooks. Would definitely recommend Mount Tutu Eco sanctuary to relax unwind and step into some beautiful Aotearoa native bish

Tim and Debbie's amazing hospitality. We love the glow worms, bush walk, star gazing, the entire property, and its location. Thank you so much, Tim and Debbie, an experience that we will cherish and will definitely come back to bring our daughters and my best friend. Keep up the amazing nature work .

Lovely complimentary glowworm tour, with the hosts giving fascinating insights and telling great stories. Breakfast was delicious. We also loved feeding the chicken and sheep.
Mold was evident on shower. Room is very small, but not the main thing about staying here.

We thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful setting and the interesting nature tours. Feeding the animals and seeing the glow worms were real highlights. Debbie and Tim were wonderful hosts, providing knowledgeable conversation, excellent cooked breakfast, and wonderful little treats like cupcakes on arrival and chocolates and cookies in our room.
The room smelled a little damp, but this was probably because it hadn't been used in a while (we were the first guests in a few months due to COVID).

During your stay you'll feel a total disconnect with the hustle and bustle of city life. 2 days is a perfect amount of time for you to soak in the place and enjoy its beauty. It felt like a therapeutic stay. The breakfast was delicious, especially the scrambled eggs with toast and bacon were the perfect start for our day :)

The beautiful nature walk, the excellent breakfast and the sweet couple made our stay unforgettable. The glow worms blew our minds and are reason enough to come visit.
The bed was sunken in in the middle.
