We had a very comfortable stay overnight Thank you. ☺️ The unit had everything one needs for a short stay . Chris is very hospitable and gives a good rundown of what’s where etc. A good continental breakfast was also provided.

Not a dislike , more of a suggestion. The unit sliding door faces down the long driveway and it could be an advantage to put a little privacy screen around the little outdoor table and chairs. We did feel a little on show to the street while having our coffee, but it was a minor thing and it wouldn’t stop us staying again.

It was quiet and peaceful. Chris warned us of trains, but we never noticed any. Chris herself was lovely to be hosted by, very friendly, helpful and made us laugh. I bought extra blankets but not only were extra on hand if needed, we also had a heat pump AND electric blankets to use, which we did. Bed was better than a lot of accom we have stayed in. Breakfast was varied and much appreciated! Place was well situated, looked after, and easy to find. The cherry on top was their gorgeous old cat who made an appearance. Already recommending to friends and family, thank you :)

Chris and Dave's B&B was a delightful find during our recent trip to Waitomo. Their hospitality was exceptional, making us feel right at home. The location was perfect, with local shops and restaurants within walking distance. The room had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and the breakfast was a standout—even better than some of the other accommodations we've experienced. If you're looking for a convenient and welcoming place to stay near the Waitomo Caves, Chris and Dave's B&B is a fantastic option.

Absolutely everything. Chris met as we drove in, helped me park the car and then offered us a very welcome cuppa. Her superb hospitality continued throughout our stay. Would definitely recommend. Will definitely stay there again if in Otorohanga. Breakfast was lovely.

Only possible downside is it is not really set up for self catering, though you could reheat stuff / have cooked chicken and a salad from the supermarket. All plates etc are there. Very close to town and lovely Restaraunts so not really a problem. Do thoroughly recommend it.

This was a very pleasant place to spend the night before a tour at the Spellbound glow worm caves the next morning. Both Dave and Chris were friendly and helpful. The room was big and comfortable and clean. And the supplied continental breakfast was very welcome. Chris has this hostessing thing down to a science; you can tell she puts a lot of thought and care into making her guests comfortable.

Couldn't figure out how to lock the door from the inside when we went to bed. But it seemed like a safe and quiet neighborhood, so we didn't mind.

Chris is amazing. She nade us welcome and feeling like family. She told us about the area and whee we should go for meals entertainment and site seeing The unit us spacious and very well appointed. Bathroom/toilet is bigger than we expected. Thsnkyou again 😀 We have referred friends too. We'll situated also. And great choices for breakfast too. Totally recommend. WE SHALL RETURN. XXX

I loved our stay at Chris & Dave's B&B Given alot of privacy, Chris was very mindful and considerate and didn't disturb us. Very helpful when needed and so easy to get along with. The room was spacious, spic and span, decor was lovely, so cosy and comfy, hot shower, electric blanket & column heater were great as I got quite cold, nearing the evening and Oto, being my home town, it was nice to be in the township and surrounding areas, where I spent alot of my younger years. Chris was so hospitable, communication was great between us before, during and after.. I enjoyed the R & R which was needed. Close to all amenities as we were in Otorohanga Township, only a street and Abit away from the main drag and Town Centre, close to Kiwi House, Pool Complex Petrol Station, shops, cafes/ takeaways/ Restaurants etc.. The weather was beautiful during the day. It kept the room quite warm for awhile. So grateful to be able to check in early A memorable visit.. Thanks so much Chris & Dave for everything! No kitchen Sink.( No offence intended Chris & Dave). Apart from that, it was short stayed, would have loved to have stayed on longer.

Comfy bed, very warm & cosy accommodation with nice & plentiful breakfast options, I especially liked the different bread options & the coffee plunger. It was also very clean with a smart TV. I"m not sure the photos of it do it justice so I went off the reviews & glad I did.

Very friendly and welcoming host, informative and helpful. Location was excellent, perfect for visiting the Kiwi house. Lovely walks around the town.

Most probably our fault but we weren’t aware that it was cash only. Not a problem and we were told as soon as we arrived and had the chance to go and get some cash from the bank.

It had everything we needed for a ‘home from home’ experience for two nights. Breakfast was included and Chris went to a lot of trouble to ensure that our dietary (diabetic) needs were covered. She really went above and beyond and was also really friendly and helpful.
