Great bathroom; the shower had the right water pressure, heater on the wall was decent and very efficient. Room was just perfect for 2 people. There were complimentary tea/coffee, clean microwave, mini fridge and crockery.

The room was sprayed with a sort of perfume that did not agree with my asthma. Sliding door was a little grubby as well. Bed had a noticeable divot in the middle. Might be a good idea to refresh the mattress. A bit pricy. Parking was tight and very narrow to maneuver car. Note: If you're leaving the motel to make a right turn, please be careful as it's hard to see cars coming from the left side (bush obstructs view).

Really liked being close to a quieter stretch of Wellington’s waterfront and enjoyed the level walking opportunities in each direction. A short walk (or quick drive) took you to the Hataitai Shopping Village where there is a multitude of bars & eateries, along with a Four Square mini-supermarket for all your needs. The owners & staff were absolutely lovely and went out of their way to make sure me and my classic car were well looked after.

Very friendly couple and they were so warm and very helpful. The wife booked us a taxi the day before for the following day. It was our first time in Wellington, and we dont know much about the place. She suggested a few things for us, which it was great. The room was clean, warm, nice and quiet. The wife also shows us information for places to order in as we were so tired when we arrived and just wanted to eat, showered, and sleep. She was very helpful and kind they were both were. We felt so welcome.

It was easy to make my own breakfast in the room with the facilities provided there. Outside the Bella Vista is the bus stop for services to and from Wellington centre (a beautiful bus ride with coastal views most of the way). I enjoyed being able to walk from the Bella Vista along the coastline (pavements/small area of park). I had worried before arrival about possible traffic noise but in reality my room was very quiet. The staff are lovely - friendly and very helpful.

Communication prior to arrival was very good, and our special requests were perfectly fulfilled. The reception by the lovely host was fabulous, and throughout our stay all the staff, including the cleaners, were helpful, kind, pleasant and easy to deal with. The room was on the small side, but it was quiet and had all the important things, like proper heating and all the necessary kitchen utensils. The cleanliness was exceptional! The bathroom was fab, with a spacious shower, a heated towel rail and additional heating! WiFi was great, and there was great parking free of charge, very important in Wellington. We really enjoyed our time there, and I can highly recommend this place!

A teapot would be nice...

Excellent 5 night stay at Bella Vista. The hotel shuttle from the airport was a bonus and worked well. Our room was very clean and well equipped, included a microwave, fridge, kettle etc. The room was serviced every day too. The owners were very friendly, welcoming and happy to help with anything. We were able to store our luggage before leaving for the airport on our departure. We didn't have a car but the bus into Wellington stops right outside the motel and offers a frequent and inexpensive service. You can also walk in, takes around 30 minutes, very scenic mostly by the waters edge.

Having to leave!

This is one of the cleanest places I have ever stayed at, BIG tick! Another positive tick for me was the guaranteed parking. It is very rare to have accomodation in a city with guaranteed parking (which was the main reason we booked this place). The staff here were very friendly and kind, to which I also noticed there was a very diverse workplace. Awesome to see. Staff were also very efficient for allowing my partner & I to check in earlier which was highly appreciated. Very comfortable as well, the rooms have everything you need. location wise, it’s not far from the city centre at all, only a few mins by car. It is close enough to the city, but far enough for a more quiet stay. Lastly, with the price point, there isn’t anything to NOT like!

Great location close to a wonderful waterfront walking path and the heart of Wellington! The manager was especially kind to let my friend check in early when she'd arrived exhausted late morning from her flights, before I came later in the afternoon! She really appreciated that! Also parking was good and easy and everything was a great value!

Immaculate. Really well equipped room and everything was like it was new. Room serviced every day if required. Everything spotless. Very friendly reception and staff. Also bus stop right outside Motel into town. We walked it a couple of times lovely walk. It’s about 50 mins hike round coast.

Room is compact.

Loved the location, away from the city, but just around the bend from it. It was warm, every morning we left, we came back and our room was clean. The first day we were shocked so we made our bed the next day only to come back and find it made properly lol. Very happy. Plus after leaving the city, the trip back to Bella was calm n peaceful, hardly any traffic and no chaos. Staff there were very friendly.

Reception for our phones wasnt great but this is no reflection on Bella Vista. More so about our mobile services provider (2degrees and Spark) and it didnt help that there was terrible stormy weather.
