I enjoyed the location within walking distance or a short bus ride to Lambton Quay shopping. I particularly enjoyed being across the road from the Sunday farmers' market, Te Papa Museum and the supermarket for the odd item. I enjoyed the ease of entering and leaving the premises at will, the eclectic atmosphere and art collection. I love the gold hippopotamus, although strangely I found a gold rhinocerous on the bedside shelf in my room. The staff although very busy at the time, were both pleasant and professional. Overall, an enjoyable stay. I would stay here again.
The Harbour facing balcony and the balcony furniture had not been cleaned and the outside table top appeared to be rusty. I would have used this area in the morning and afternoon to have coffee and tea. I stayed at QT for 2 nights. I completed my bookings through booking.com and to date am unaware of what my room rate was. I will make direct bookings in the future. My air travel limited both my arrival and departure times from the hotel. I was grateful for being able to drop my bags off at the hotel until check-in at 3.00pm, but to catch my 8.20 am flight from rural Waikato, involved a 6.30am start from home. I was truly ready for check in at 3.00pm.

The Art above all. The staff are exceptional in that they are not only 100% professional, but they are also kind and friendly.
I was disappointed in the room. With the exception of the comfort of the bed and the pillows which are 100%. Lighting is great, but I personally don't like the massive TV in the middle of the mirror. The bathroom was dated. hopeless shower - water everywhere. Air-conditioning inefficient ( or I couldn't work out how to drive it! ) I was too hot and the room didn't smell very fresh. Thiis is the reason for rating QT not good value for money.

Super cosy room with beautiful views of the harbour. Very comfy bed. LOVE having a bath which I specially requested. I enjoy the low sensory vibe of the place - the low lighting in the hallways and no strongly scented cleaning products. Very relaxing for me. Enjoyed a lovely cheeseboard and wine in the lounge dining area - felt welcoming and was very chilled out for a person eating on their own. Singer/musician there for 'cocktail hour' was a nice touch.
There was an issue with hot water -initially thought there wasn't any. Reception let me know that I should try running the tap for 10 minutes (!) - this did actually work and the water got hot -- although in a city where water is currently pouring out on the streets it felt bad to waste water in this way. I had free breakfast included - the menu looked great but the breakfast room was very busy and crowded - totally unnecessary music playing and not many staff so after waiting a bit I just left -- just a bit too hectic for me first thing in the morning. If you are a 'morning person' you would probably love it.

Staff went out of the way to send up towels and park the car - staff 9/10
Air condition did not work - broken When called the hotel after viewing booking .com the hotel revelations stated they were not allowed to match and they quoted 50.00 more - told to book via booking .com even though I still got it at the price and you paid commission - not smart - Also not informed if booking for 2 nights that room not serviced - if informed would not have stayed - deliberate hiding

I liked the staff all super lovely and the pool, spa, sauna and gym also the breakfast was great!
I didn't like the bed and it made it very hard to sleep as there was a massive dent in it almost felt like a valley it should really be replaced along with the matress protector which I saw when fixing my bed (gross stains all over it in we will say a presumptuous area 🤮) as well as the pillows being super big and not as flat as I'm personally used to, the room was clean all apart from the hanging light having dust on the cord coming down from the ceiling.

Great location, lovely staff and very child friendly. Absolutely loved the bathroom and the deep dish bath which was my favourite part of the stay altogether..
Room could use abit of updating e.g carpet Also was unsure of the numbers to call for room service, reception etc. nothing in the rooms for that however I know they use to have a book in there for that? Connected system not being used however advertised in the rooms this should be removed as I scheduled for my car to be brought around and they did not receive the request.

Love the vibe, foyer, outside of rooms and facilities are great.
Street noise, rooms a little stufffy from no air flow, guest assistance was good when requested but not oarticularly attentive to matching a guest experience to the price, facilities and what seems to be what the Qt is wanting to achieve.

The proximity to the conference venue at Te Papa and just a stroll to Oriental Bay. Have always loved the decor of this hotel. Reception area has been refurbished since my last visit and looks great. I was fortunate to be able to check in early which was much appreciated-thank you so much.
The pillows weren't the best quality.

This is a gorgeous hotel right across from the Te Papa Museum in downtown Wellington! The artwork in the lobby and public areas was spectacular and really fun to explore. Our room was beautiful with an exceptional bathroom and amazing shower! We enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub and found them quite relaxing on a rainy day in Wellington.
Although our room was beautiful it was a bit on the small side. This is a fairly expensive hotel but the parking is still an added $40 per day and you have to wait a bit for a valet to retrieve the car.

The beds and rooms are extremely comfortable. We loved the cool artwork displayed around.
Was extremely disappointed with the breakfast buffet. I was expecting more. It had an amazing view and helpful staff but was greatly disappointed. in the quality and variety. It would have been better for us to choose from a menu. Young kids were unattended in the sauna, gym and pool area., at 10 pm at night was extremely frustrating.
