Its a nice hotel with very friendly stuff. The location is a bit away from the center, on top of the hill so it is nice that the hotel provides parking space for the cars. The center is about 15 mins walk from the hotel, however coming back is all uphill so it takes an extra 10 minutes but good for a workout :) The breakfast was diversified and upon request they provided me gluten free bread which is a plus.

The hotel was a bit old and had a bit of musty smell. I know we went a bit off season (October) but the swimming pool was a bit dirty. Could be also because it was raining sometimes.

The rooms were exceptionally spacious and the bed was so comfortable. There was even a mini kitchenette in the room which was so inconspicuous but unexpectedly came in handy during our stay. On arrival we were offered a refreshing cold drink which was hugely welcomed in the heat, and reception was really efficient in checking us in on our late arrival. It was also great that they had 24 hr reception as we had to check out in the early hours of the morning, which we were able to do without any fuss. Breakfast and dinner options were enjoyable and the outside pool and lounge area made lazy days like a mini retreat.

Food very good quality, but cooked meals a bit to cool for our tastes ( Irish). Breads, cakes and cereals generally excellent and the restaurant was usually very quiet and efficient. No waiting for tables. Staff very friendly and courteous. Drink and food prices reasonable. Bedrooms excellent in size and comfort. We loved the overall ambience of the hotel which has embraced a traditional appeal in terms of its local seascape pictures and art deco style furnishings. It may not suit everybody, but it has real style.

Television channels could be improved for Irish guests through the addition of the main Irish RTE TV news and entertainment station. We didn't like the climb back to the hotel from the village but the cheap 5 euro taxi service really sorted that out. A bit too quiet for kids perhaps, but the elders certainly loved the peace and overall peace and quiet. Carvoeiro beach resort is a bit limited for walkers but it is also very lively during the day and in most evenings.

Really comfortable beds, very clean, in a quiet location and with a fab grassed pool area. Plenty of sunbeds, reasonably priced lunch and very friendly helpful staff. 10 minutes walk down into Carvoeiro centre, and if you don't like the hill, ubers are great value and readily available. Breakfast always offered plenty of fresh fruit, bakery items and the usual cereal/muesli. The cooked breakfast was limited. Aircon I'm the rooms was good, and there was always hot water (not great water pressure, but good enough)

Some details are a bit jaded. For instance the kitchenette in our room and some decor is due for a refresh (external paintwork and stair carpets) We asked to move rooms away from a noisy generator, and the 4 phone masts on the roof. (the second room was lovely with a view of the pool garden)

the hotel building and layout ... one of our first holidays we've enjoyed with our room on the ground floor and with easy access to reception, the bar, pool and gardens ... excellent, friendly and helpful staff team

we loved having the outside space with the table and two chairs .. we hope this space will be restored to its full glory once the redecorations to the front façade of the hotel are undertaken.

Room was big to our surprise, nice and comfortable mattress. Wide and great selection for breakfast. We had dinner in the hotel restaurant that was good too. Receptionist was pleasant, friendly, great professional. She offered us help to book a boat tour next day, which was really helpful. We appreciated parking lot in front of the hotel. I felt sorry we stayed only one night as we could not explore town and visit the beach.

Even we asked for a quiet room we were given first room in the hall so everybody had to pass our room to reach their. Too much noise from the hall and also from outside as there was a terrace next to our room and they were playing loud music at late hour.

Nice clean apartments comfortable beds and excellent rain showers. Safe for hire in all rooms.. Good Aircon only used a couple of times for time of year didn't need it on at night. Very nice outside pool and bar area for swimming and sunbathing. Friendly and helpful staff at all times.

Just a little way from the centre or beach about a 15 min walk mostly downhill with a couple of quite steep sections. Not really a problem as we would get a taxi back at night which were cheap enough. Did not have a drinks or snacks vending machine so had to buy in town to take back.

Good location, away from the tourist area. The bed was surprisingly comfortable.

The building is old, rooms are kind of renovated but in a hurry. You can see that easily in The rooms, kitchen area, and bathroom. It does not look like as 4-star hotel. Old windows, smells old, our room also had loads of unpleasant smells from the restaurant, or other kitchens in rooms. The pool is also lost potential, it is not for swimming, but for standing. Before been in the hotel with a smaller pool but better planned and got a decent swim.

Spacious and cosy room. Bed was quite comfy. the kitchenette features a stovetop, a refrigerator, kitchenware and a microwave. Very good breakfast. Big flat-screen TV. Nice and polite staff.

Sofa needs to be vacuumed. Some renovation would be helpful in the bathroom (missing small stretchable mirror). Some renovation would be helpful in the terrace: the handrail paint was peeled off. Very steep hills to reach the hotel - so brace yourself driving the car especially at night :)

Stayed for 4 nights in August. Nicel relaxing hotel with lovely grassy pool area. Pool area was nice and quiet. Walking distance to the resort town. Restaurant/bar is great for lunch/snacks and very reasonable , we didn't eat dinner in the hotel. Room was big, spacious and clean. Overall very impressed with the hotel, great value.

Breakfast wasn't great, I dont think it was worth the price. Lots of nice cafes in the town for breakfast
