It was a little bit of heaven ,in a lovely quiet & peaceful location.The staff were very helpful & made us all feel very welcome. A warm smile and a friendly face when you arrive and nothing was too much trouble for the staff , so Bravo to you all in Placid Village. The apartment was well equipped with everything that you need for your stay , with a high quality finish inside. We shall be back someday.

The man on reception was super friendly and helpful. We could leave our bags and use the pool even though we arrived early and our room wasn’t ready. Our 3 bedroom apartment was really spacious and gorgeous, the beds were super comfy and it was really dark in the mornings so we all slept so well. We had a lovely view. The pool was lovely and didn’t get too busy. We also used the padel court and could borrow the rackets and balls for free, although the court was a bit broken. Carveoiro was by far the nicest town we visited in the Algarve, it was stunning, we loved the boardwalk and exploring the caves which was an easy walk from Placid Village. We also loved Praia do Marinha. Highly recommend the Thai restaurant Allegra and the Nepalese one Gurkha kitchen.

The only improvement I would suggest to the apartment would be a better table and chairs on the balcony, there were only 4 chairs out there so we had to take a dining chair out, and they were also uncomfortable. A bit more extensive menu at lunchtime would have been handy, we could only get toasties but they were really good, and you could get ice creams. I wouldn’t recommend Benagil Beach, it was such a tourist trap.

We, a party of 6, stayed 3 nights at Placid Village. Wonderful, helpful, friendly staff. Spacious and clean apartments with a good kitchen with all the utilities you would expect. Good sized pool that was never overcrowded and sunbeds always available. It's about 15 mins walk into Carvoeiro and the terrain is quite hilly. We always walked into the town and got a taxi back. A taxi costs about €5/6 for the trip. There is a supermarket 5 mins walk away which is great for a morning walk to get fresh croissants/bread etc if you don't want to use the onsite café for breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay and have added Placid Village to our list of 'keepers'. Would definitely stay again. Thank you to the staff for making our stay so enjoyable 🙏

Enjoyed every minute of our stay at Placid Village. Apartment was very spacious, comfortable and had everything we needed. Pool area is lovely with plenty of sun loungers. A short walk to the nearest mini mart for essentials. Close enough to Carvoeiro to walk in and back, around 15 minutes. The manager was there for any queries and was very helpful. I would definitely return at some point. Thanks for a fabulous stay!

The apartments were large, clean and spacious. Very well equipped. The staff were kind and accommodating, especially when I had made an error in my booking and needed to change rooms. The manager/ owner changed us into a perfect apartment, and this happened quickly and efficiently. We were very impressed and grateful. Thank you, Placid village.

Nothing, happy with it all

It was the perfect place to explore the Algarve! Placid Village is a complex of several houses situated on a small hill, a swimming pool, a tennis court and parking spaces. In our apartment we had 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room with a kitchenette and a large balcony. The apartment was well-equipped. We could cook freely in the kitchen, we had a stove, oven, microwave, kettle and all kitchen utensils. There was also a washing machine in the bathroom. The rooms were air conditioned. We felt like at home there. The staff was helpfull and friendly. Next to reception is also a snacbar.The center of Carvoeiro is a 20-minute walk away. I highly recommend it, the best place!

Staff were wonderful, very kind and responded to queries in timely manner! Can't fault them. Breakfast service was fantastic as well. Apartment was a fantastic size and layout. Very tranquil place.

We enjoyed everything! Just bear in mind due to positioning some apartments would be better for sunrise others for sunset watching. And also bear in mind the location - a bit far from the beach, lots of up/downs, but we personally enjoyed the walks! The cleaning smell/perfume was very strong when we entered the apartment and we had to open all windows to air it out. It took a long time to get rid of the scent. It would be great if this is less next time! Would also have been great to have a couple of washing machine tablets as there were some for the dishwasher.

The apartment was clean and well-kept. The breakfast was good and the people friendly. It was a bit far from everything - you need a car to get around. But quiet and nice pool. Apartment was spacious but the bedrooms where quite small. They advertised two twins in one room and a "BIG" double bed in the other and it was only a full - very small.

Thye check-in is at 4pm, which is a bit late. There is nobody to help you carry your luggage and you can be two flights up and even the maintenance guy was not very willing to help us (60+ -year old ladies) to help us bring our luggage up the stairs.

Stayed here during Christmas so it was very quiet. We could've gotten into the pool during midafternoon when the pool water was warm enough to swim, unfortunately we hadn't packed our swimming costumes we though it was going to be cold but it wasn't , it was warm during the day and cooler at night. The villa is self was very clean,had everything we needed and the lovely cleaning lady came to clean everymorning. We all loved the breakfast, we requested for chicken instead of ham as we don't eat pork and they were happy to do so. We loved the Praia de Carvoeiro beach and the shops and restaurants around it. It was very hot and the water was warm surprised that it was their winter . It was very quiet calm an relaxing only a few families there. After relaxing on the beach we browsed the holiday shops around and we had dinner at the Kings Palace Indian Restaurant their food was delicious 😋 Because we visited in December most places were closed. Our taxi driver booked a session for the kids at the play centre which was 4 minutes drive away from the villa . Its called Radical Fun Centre, the kids loved it and there is also an outdoor play area it is a must visit. And the walk round the villa is breathtakingly beautiful, you see all the hills from there.

Modern air conditioned rooms with beautiful views from the balcony, very clean with all the utensils necessary for a comfortable stay. Hosted large family of six very comfortably.

Only thing would be perhaps a snack/drinks bar at the pool for lunches…although there is coffee and ice cream/drinks available so it’s not a dislike, only a suggestion!
