Ideal location. Easy access to everything . Very clean

They really should have someone to pick up the luggages from the entrance it was a hassle to take it to the reception and to the rooms after we get there . Later only we got to know if we want we can request a big trolly but no one told us . I only realize it when checking out. So the hotel should take it very seriously to keep someone at the entrance to pick up luggages of the occupants. And the rooms are very small .

The highlight was the poolside view of Singapore! Beautiful poolside deco and setting; it was even more fascinating in the night. The gym is sufficiently equipped with drinking water made available. It is in a prime location of Orchard Road, next to the Gateway shopping mall n also within walking distance to the Somerset MRT (public transport) which is a selling point! We enjoyed our stay and strongly recommend this hotel if it is within your travel budget.

The noise insulation in the room can be improved. Can hear next door’s guests talking! That was quite unexpected and this flaw has discounted the rating. Also, slight odor from the restaurant can be smelled at certain narrow pathway.

The room was lovely, clean and what I would have expected from a Shangri-La associated hotel. The roof top pool area was delightful and just right for a late night drink after a full day's exploring.

The breakfast selection was excellent, however, unless you got the Chef to cook you an omelette specially, the other options were mostly cold or just luke warm? Why......don't know....... because the food was under supposedly warm lights. The cost was also a little expensive too. You needed to get your money's worth at S$40 each.

Convenient location close to MRT station, cafes and restaurants. Stunning rooftop bar with a pool & view over the city. Good sized & modern room, with excellent aircon and also very quiet.

The bed is surprisingly hard for a 4 star hotel. Complicated checkin process (but friendly staff). Recommend getting breakfast at a cafe nearby than paying SGD 45 at the hotel.

We had an excellent stay at Jen. The star of the show is definitely the rooftop pool - just wow! The rooftop pool has a stunning view with a great bar / bbq burgers. It stays open until 10pm which we loved. Despite staying at a busy period (NYE)we always managed to get a lounge which was great. The pool is large and is better than the photos. The rooms were also a great size and very comfortable. The hotel’s location was very central and we made great use of the MRT / buses which are right at your door step.

The best description is the hotel location. It was right next to a series of malls. The food courts and restaurants were all over the place. Shopping was easy too even when it was raining hard. The hotel was very clean and very modern. The rooms were thought of because everything was in place. From the coffee to the shower to the hair dryer!!! The elevators were quick and was access The swimming pool was a delight The breakfast buffet at Makans was a good experience But the club lounge took our breath away. From just coffee to conversations with family and early breakfast. That was the best place. The view also from the 19th floor overlooking orchard and marina was fantastic!!!

In order to get to lobby was to take 1 elevator to the 10th then transfer to another elevator to go up to the hotel. I understand the space compromise because it’s Singapore but other than that, there’s nothing to dislike about this hotel.

Room 1751 had a very bad smell, hotel need to check this room. (We stayed in 1762 first which was clean air, but view 1751 is better to mbs). Next day staff changed us to 1130, which was clean air in the room and good view. Pre-booking staff keep chasing to do the payment upfront (while it is guaranteed already by booking.com....this is irritating, then hotel keep sending messages about welcome for the stay, too many messages). Was not expecting this as a Shangri-La hotel member.

Loved access to the club lounge. We travelled with 3 yr and 10 week old so it worked out really well as it was never really busy and had an area specifically for families too. I really enjoyed the food options at Breakfast and Dinner and the white wine was excellent during Chill time between 5.30-7.30pm. The pool area is also really cool, great for a night time swim for city views. It's a little busy at times but thats to be expected and didn't spoil the experience. Location is also great, right on top of a shopping centre and the MRT with a lift direct to the trains from the hotel.

I'm being really picky here but snacks outside of manned hours at the Lounge were limited and could be improved. You could also extend the evening chill time to finish at 8.30pm so you don't feel like you have to rush to get your drinks/food in.

staff was not very friendly, cannot leave the luggage at the hotel after checking out staff told me to leave them at the shopping mall concierge which opens after 10 am.

Hotel is really easy to access: Lift Lobby A to Level 10 or use the alternate lobby on Somerset Rd - it’s outside of the shopping centre and you’ll need this lobby to get up to the hotel after 10pm! Check-in and out was quick and simple. The access to the MRT station from the lift is AMAZING and saved us so much time (and sweat). We stayed on Level 18, and the pool was on Level 19. The view is so beautiful at night. Room was refreshed daily, there’s filtered water on tap in your room, snacks on arrival and international powerpoints for charging any device. There’s also USB charging ports, so no worries if you forget to bring a UK/Singapore adaptor! Super King bed was huge and comfy for us as we like the more firm mattresses. Plenty of storage space in the room for your belongings and the water pressure from the shower is excellent. Honestly one of the best hotels I’ve stayed at for a long time!

The only thing I really disliked were the pillows. All 4 pillows were too soft and gave me a bit of neck pain after the first night. Even when two were stacked on top of each other, it was really uncomfortable.
