Didn’t have breakfast at the hotel

Everything was okay specially the guy at the reception allowed me a late checkout and the guys at the concierge were very helpful Requested an early check in when I booked but wasn’t granted.Arrived in Singapore at 07.30am and at the hotel around 08.30am. Had to wait till the normal check in time. When requests are made at the time of booking some consideration should be given. May be a few hours so that you could freshen up after a tiring flight.

The family room was great for us, with large comfortable beds, good air-conditioning, and a nice bathroom. The location was ideal - a short walk to the Orchard shops and metro station. The breakfast buffet was fantastic and good value for money. I also made use of the fitness studio and pool on the first morning, while fairly basic they were lovely to have. All of the staff were lovely, and the service from the concierge desk when we were struggling to get a taxi that could take us and all our luggage back to the airport was great. I'd happily stay here again.

Good access to shopping area and there are many bus routes to go to other places. Stayed in Premier Quadruple Room which is spacious (as a hotel in Singapore) and suitable for 3-4 people to relax.

No groceries, convenience stores nor barrs/restaurants in 5 minuts walk. More convenient if there is cafe or bar in the hotel.

Clean, spacious, friendly and helpful staff. We stayed in a family room - which had more than enough space. Each night when we arrived back the room had been cleaned and towels/stock replenished. Fresh bottled water provided daily. The buffet breakfast was amazing with so much variety and constantly topped up. I would highly recommend, especially for a family.

We loved everything about the property. The only thing to be mindful of is the walk to the MRT, there is a slight incline on returning to York, and the walk to the closest MRT is around 8 minutes. This feels longer when walking In such hot/humid weather, but there are plenty of shops/ covered areas along the way

Great location in a quieter spot even though it's close to the Mount E hospital, Paragon, and all the malls. Food at the hotel is good, not great, but good enough. But food is not a problem since there are so many good restaurants and food courts nearby. The staff are nice, the room is clean, the price is good. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

The hotel is old and so are all the rooms and the facilities inside it. But there is a Japanese toilet in the bathroom. The amenities such as toothpaste, shampoo, and conditioner are not good quality. I hope they invest in good quality ones and also change from disposable tiny tubes to refillable bottles. Outside noise is not a problem. However, during our stay, the air vents in our room made really loud rattling sounds at night. Our schedule was really tight, and we were too exhausted by the time we arrived at the hotel, so we didn't bother notifying the staff. But I suggest changing rooms if this happens during your stay.

location and value for money

communication and understanding from some of the front desk were lacking. I had 2 bookings for 2 rooms on consecutive dates. I emailed York to say I was having surgery and would be recovering in the room and would like the two bookings to be as seamless as possible. At check in they found my two bookings and said we could keep the same rooms and that I had prepaid. At the beginning of my second booking, they called me down to re-sign and take another deposit and to extend our key card. It was a bit inconvenient for me as I was still in pain and still had to make the trip down. York should have better customer service for those undergoing medical procedures since it’s so close to the hospital.

The location, the rooms are big and the breakfast variety is good

The staff are less attentive and always seems very busy. It rained every morning of our stay and when asked for umbrella, it doesn’t seems like available for all the guest of the hotel which is odd for a caliber of this hotel. One time we asked for it, we were been told it was taken by guests, which we felt like we were not guests.
