The room was spacious, had all the facilities you would need, the walk in shower was awesome and the bedding felt like luxury quality ...we had a great night's sleep ...helped along by a couple of very fancy cocktails from the hotel bar...the staff were all very helpful, smiles from all of them which gave the lobby and bar a very welcoming feel....but I've saved the best till last.....breakfast was top notch , so much variety , all laid on beautifully and the bonus of a late check out is that you can take time to really enjoy it and have a little bit of everything....we will defo be back 😀

Location was ideal. Only a short walk to the shops and the nightlife. Also close to the docks. Had breakfast included which was great. Lots of choice on the buffet and they served from 8am until 11am so still had the option for a lie in! Really good late check out available too of 12pm.

Room looked a little tired. Lighting was poor in the room but there were plenty of sockets for phone chargers etc. Also had iron, ironing board and hairdryer available in room. The fridge in the room was very poorly stocked. Only had one bottle of water available. There was a kettle and tea and coffee facilities. The shower leaked badly. Reported to reception but they had no rooms available to change to and as it was Saturday there was no maintenance available until Sunday afternoon which was after our check out.

Location is excellent: the hotel is 2 minutes away from The Cavern and Castle St, in an area teeming with music joints and restaurants, and is only 5 minutes away from the Waterfront, Albert Dock and The Three Graces. The building is a gorgeous turn of the century landmark. Kind and helpful staff.

There are a few details that should be taken into account to heighten guest comfort: 1. The towels are really small. 2. There should be proper glasses in the vanity instead of plastic cups. 3. More hanging bars/ hooks. 4. There was only one very small bedside table in a twin room.

Free pool and foozball, bed was so comfy possibly the best bed I've ever slept in. Extremely clean and the cleaning staff very friendly. Great location to go to Mathew street. So thankful the WiFi was brilliant in the hotel as I couldn't get signal on my phone hardly at all the time I was in liverpool. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff and it was a beautiful building. We will definitely be returning. Aspects of breakfast were good like been able to order freshly made omelettes and eggs how you like... the poached eggs were perfect.

The parts of breakfast that weren't great was the hash browns been soggy and the bacon was very fatty and not cooked enough for me or my partner but that is personal preference.

The lobby and communal area / NYZ bar is beautiful. Gorgeous high ceilings. the Location of the hotel is second to none. 2 mins walk from Liverpool one, lovely restaurants and bars.

I was in one of the basement rooms, which was spacious and roomy. However I did not like not having natural light or any sort of view. The breakfast was not great either, the sausages where actually inedible and looked like they had been cooked in the microwave. The pastries where nice.

We liked everything about this hotel. The historic building is quite inspiring and the location is perfect right in downtown Liverpool centre, so close too all of the attractions. The room was very spacious with a large walk-in shower in the bathroom. We used the fitness centre every morning, which was very spacious and very well-equiped. Moorfields MerseyRail underground station was only a few minutes walk away, which is great for heading across to other areas of Merseyside, such as the Lark Lane area in South Liverpool, which is only a 10 minute journey or across the Mersey over to Wirral or north to Southport. Highly recommend staying her for anyone touring in and around Liverpool/.

Visited for 2 nights for my Mums 50th birthday. Upon arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady at reception desk (sorry no name), who gave a birthday card with a complimentary drink voucher each. She told us our room had been upgraded for free which was a great surprise! Room itself was very spacious, 2 very comfy large (twin) beds and an ensuite bathroom with a powerful walk-in shower. The hotel was overall very clean, modern in most areas & decorated very nicely. Breakfast had good variety with included takeaway hot drinks. Location is perfect. Will definitely visit again!

Very minor problems i.e Water out of bathroom tap only trickled (still usable) Socket & toilet roll holder loose on wall Breakfast was hit & miss (hot items cold on our 1st morning & would prefer covers over fruit/pastries for flies)

The most fabulous hotel to welcome dogs...some staff are more interested than others but that is understandable. Although I love bringing my Smudge away for the night there is nothing worse than a 'wet dog smell', which is sometimes unavoidable. After several stays, I can confirm that no area in this hotel smells like pets have stayed here before. We were also informed by team members that there was a microwave in the lobby to use...what a great idea. Hopefully, nobody cooks kippers when I'm staying haha. See you soon

The location was superb. The staff was amazing and helpful, going over and above what we expected. Breakfast was a good selection of English, continental and cereals; could order additional types of eggs as served scrambled as standard, which I thought was a great touch. The dining facilities were superb. The reception and lobby/restaurant were beautiful.

The view was of a private flat with a balcony with bikes and personal belongings. It was not a great view and felt a little invasive. I felt like I needed to keep the curtains closed all the time. The room was dim, and the lighting was not adequate.

Friendly staff and brilliant location.

The room was a little tired. Some damp issue perhaps in our room as the wallpaper in the corner by my bed was wrinkly. The cleaner took our hand soap away after our first night but ok as we used shower gel instead! There was also a mark on my bed linen which tbh, for the price we paid, I wouldn't expect. Breakfast choices were a bit slim pickings on Monday but still ate ok but I heard other people grumbling. All that said, I would recommend to a friend if asked :) as location great. But I did think it a little expensive...a twin room for two, two nights at £350....
