Location close to new and old town and all the attractions etc Nice room, decent size, comfortable bed, good shower. Breakfast buffet was very good with a large choice. Plenty of lifts. Clean Good check-in

Minor thing but overpowering smell of what appeared to be cleaning materials in the reception

Convenient location for tourist interests. Excellent breakfast. Excellent shower. The cleaning, catering and dining room staff were marvellous, efficient and welcoming.

The perfume smell in the reception area was intrusive and unwelcome causing some breathing difficulties. The Wi-Fi was not reliable. The room refreshment provisions were meagre. The condescending attitude of one member of staff at reception when our room’s air-conditioning was not working was unprofessional. The window had been opened by cleaning staff and windows need to be firmly closed for the air-conditioning to work.

Location is great. Parking very limited although they sent us to another space nearby with 10% discount. Hotel is huge. Bedroom.. A superior which actually appears to be standard is very small. The Reception staff are fantastic people. So incredibly helpful. Anne has to be mentioned. She went out of her way to help us. From organising parking to finding a pharmacy to minding our bags while we went looking for the parking facility. Oh and the in house restaurant.. Excellent. We had a gorgeous meal that night. We could not fault it. Beautiful food.

It was a pity the parking was not available on site but it was OK. The bedroom was small enough for a ' superior' room.

The hotel is in a very nice neighborhood, the center, the Guggenheim museum and local stores/shops are all in a walkable distance. Also, the place seems very safe, we were walking home pretty late at night and didn't come across any scetchy people. The hotel is very big, but it was not noisy, which was a big plus.

For the size of the room and hotel was very expensive. I don't know if hotels in Bilbao are generally pricy but it seemed a bit overpriced for what it had to offer. The check-in took 20-25 minutes due to many people arriving at the same time and not enough staff working at the reception. Also, the breaskfast is super expensive (I know, in general breakfasts in hotels are usually pricy) but to be honest, in the case of this hotel: If you google "breakfast" you will find local, small cafes with good breakfast offerings for a fair price. Breakfast at the hotel was 16 euros per person per day, we had a breakfast 5 min walk away from the hotel in a small cafe and paid 10 euros for 2 sandwiches, 2 cafes and 2 croissants.

They have parking facility and got spacious rooms. There is a nice pulpo restaurant beside the hotel. Hotel is right across the river which has a nice view.

Far walk from attractions. Fridge in the room was not working, we asked someone to fixed it but it was still not addressed (2 times). When we asked for ice instead, no one came. Airconditioning is not working properly too, it was warm the whole time (also asked someone to fix it, no one came). Shower area is smaller than the toilet.

Our original room was quite small and faced a wall at the side of the hotel so we decided to upgrade to a suite which was the best decision. It was incredibly comfortable, had a glorious view of the river, an enormous bathroom and lounge room and we loved staying there.

Due to important batteries which had to stay on all the time, we had to ask twice at the front desk for the cleaners to leave the power on however it continued to be turned off.

The hotel feels almost new. Upon arrival the reception staff were very friendly and accommodating: happy to direct us to the fun activities going on in the town. Our room was lovely: the bed was huge and the bathroom was sparkling. No real complaints.

There's no parking onsite and the nearest parking garage (across the water) is expensive. Not something to bother us, but you could see in to the bathroom from the bedroom, so I'd only share with someone familiar.

Location! Central, but not too noisy! Would have loved to overlook the river rather than the back side of the hill.

We had ants in our room. They are clever and would hide under the baseboard when we tried to catch them. This was our second Barcelo stay and we have noticed a consistent ant presence. We did not love the overwhelming scent that permeated the lobby/reception area. Very triggering for those with migraine disease.

I liked the rooms, very comfortable beds, clean, lots of towels which I love and great location!

the bathrooms have a very dumb design where there’s no shower curtains or stalls so the water splashes all over the bathroom. Also check in took like 30 minutes even though there was only like 3 people ahead of me… AND IF YOU BOOK THROUGH BOOKING.COM THEY DO NOT HAVE YOUR RESERVATION… THEY SAID IT WASNT IN THE SYSTEM AND I HAD TO CHECK IN RIGHT THERE. if there were no rooms available I would’ve had to sleep on the street that night.

I enjoyed my stay very much. My room was convenient and clean. Breakfast was very good. Location is perfect and hotel staff are gold; very friendly and very accommodating. I encountered a non-standard wifi issue, and the staff took all the time to find a solution with me. On top of that, I was surprised with a very tasty birthday brownie & cava on my birthday, which was a truly heartwarming gesture, and added to an unforgettable stay! Thank you hotel staff, you’re brilliant!
