The room was perfect, we selected the standard option, and it was spacious and comfortable and quiet, no noise from other rooms or outside. We all slept really well every night. The locations for us was perfect, we wouldn't have changed this! Right opposite a pedestrian bridge taking you within 5 mins to the City centre, 10 mins to the old town and 5-10 mins to the Guggenheim Museum. The hotel staff were all without exception very friendly and we felt very relaxed. The breakfast was wonderful, very fresh and plenty of options, and as someone who has a restricted diet, no problems with a nice breakfast every morning. We were given an adjoing room for our daughters as requested, which made the stay even more enjoyable.

If I was to search for a negative, it would only be the TV chanels didn't work for English speaking international news. Our daughters room next door worked fine, however the maintenance staff were unable to correct. The hotel did offer an alternative room, which we declined as it wasn't a big deal.

Reception staff were outstanding. Polite, efficient, helpful. I went back to them several times to ask questions about local area (directions, metro, restaurants, etc.). They assisted each and every time making my visit so much easier. Always smiles on their faces. Breakfast was amazing too, hot and cold items, plenty to choose from and breakfast staff were incredibly polite and fast! Room was clean and medium size, just enough room for me, window opened up completely which I loved! I was able to let in the sunshine and fresh air every day! Great location as well, right on the river and between 2 pedestrian bridges, made it very easy to walk to Guggenheim and Old Town. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance.

They wouldn't call a taxi for me until I was at the front desk and I missed a tour :/ My fault because I was a bit late, but I certainly would have called the taxi from my room if I had the number!

Modern hotel on the banks of the Nervion River, close to the Guggenheim Museum and the Zubizuri footbridge. Old Town is only 10 minutes walk along the river and the Funicular up to Artxanda is only around the corner from the hotel - great location for exploring the city. Reception staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was huge and very comfortable. There was no noise from other guests or from outside and we slept very well. The shower was powerful and the room had a big TV and tea/coffee making facilities. We used the airport bus (A3247) to/from the airport and its pick-up/drop-off is only the other side of the Salve Bridge by the Guggenheim, so 10 minutes walk from the hotel and only costs 3 euros each way.

Nothing - it was perfect.

15-20 minutes walk to the old town, shopping streets and Guggenheim. Comfortable bed. Very helpful staff in the reception. They helped me with a reservation for a visit at a winery and wine tasting. The winery was only 20 minutes by taxi from the hotel. Very nice place that produced wine to a Michelin star restaurant. It is called Gorka Izagirre winery. The hotel is very close (takes two minutes to walk) to a small cable railway that takes you up on the hill. The cable railway station for the hill is just behind the hotel. There is an amazing view of the town from there. This is not the main train station, it is only for the cable railway up on the hill. The train is called Funicular.

Location is great, staff is great, breakfast was great, essentially almost everything as great, no complaints, with a small exception detailed in the next category

The rooms could you a slight face lift - stayed at this property (and other Hesperia properties in Bilbao, Barcelona, Madrid and Valencia) over the past 10-15 years and it seems most of them have been re-done a while back, but not much has been done recently - this property as well, so a bit of a touch up on the furnishing and such (most of which are 10+ years old if not older) would be welcome, especially given the recent prices. Nevertheless, still a decent value overall and VERY clean.

Hotel Location - very scenic, quiet and safe location on the Nervion River, *almost* directly across from the Guggenheim Museum. If you take the scenic Zubizuri bridge, it is a pleasant 15 mins walk from the hotel to the museum. The main Bus Station (Intermodal) is probably too far to walk (~35 mins), but we were able to get an Uber taxi without issue, which was 10-15 mins to/from the hotel. Old Town is a 20 min walk alongside the River, with plenty of places to stop along the way for a drink, a coffee, some food or shopping. Hotel facilities - nice spacious lounge area, with dining and breakfast areas. Small snacks and cold drinks fridge in the lobby area also a nice touch. Hotel Staff - very helpful and very pleasant on check-in, offering advice. Hotel room - very comfortable bed and pillows, great black-out curtains. Our room looked out onto the Nervion River, and we heard very little noise. Air Conditioning was excellent also. a solid 18 degrees (Celsius), in June/July.

The only thing that comes to mind was some specific signs of wear and tear. We were in room 319, and the door, the paneling, and the wallpaper inside the door looked...worse for wear. It is hard to describe, so I'll attach photos. While this did make a bad first impression (it looks sort of like there had been a fight, some damage, or some very bad furniture movers, who scratched and damaged doors, walls, and panels), it was mostly cosmetic. The nails (you can see in the photo) are not "flush", so you could easily snag your clothing. Again - I don't want to over-hype this - I'm sure the hotel mgt., are aware and will fix this - just calling this out to be fair and even. We still very much enjoyed our stay, the room, the staff, the facilities, the location.

Honestly the nicest hotel we've ever stopped in . For the money we paid we were both amazed at every single aspect of the hotel . A lovely reception with friendly , helpful staff . The room was very spacious with a comfy large bed and spacious wardrobe . The bathroom was also very spacious and immaculately clean . The location of the hotel couldn't have been any better too , a quiet and safe neighborhood and a short walking distance from most attractions . Would definitely stay there again , and would highly recommend..

Not a dislike really , but we thought the breakfast was slightly overpriced.

Very good location right at the river - walking distance to old town, center and all major attractions. Nice internal layout, comfortable rooms, elegant lobby. Nice bar for the evening drinks. Underground parking is available however no option to pre-book it. Hotel staff is very helpuf and supportive.

There could be an option to pre-book the car parking, rather than counting on luck it's not full (although one can still try to find some place on the streets or on the public parking nearby).
