Tacande Portals was fantastic - clean and modern with fantastic pool facilities! The breakfast buffet was wonderful - everything you could want, and the evening buffet which we chose on 2 evenings was also great with very fresh food. The staff were incredibly attentive and friendly and we loved the shuttle into Palma! There is also a lovely cove located just down the road which has a beach bar and another hotel with a fantastic restaurant.

The location is a little out of the way, and the walk to the Portals Nous main strip of bars is very steep - perhaps not the best for elderly people or those with small kids! There is also a lot of building work in the area and our balcony looked directly onto a building site - this didn’t bother us (and the room is sound proof) but something to bear in mind if you like to sit on the balcony!

Very clean hotel. Nice rooms, very good air conditioning and nice balcony. Hotel pool very tidy and nice environment with a view to the sea. Breakfast had a good choice available. Close to the local bus stop if needed.

The location was not the best as it is surrounded by hills which proved hard to walk in the heat. Nearest shop for water etc was 15 minutes away up and down hills. Would of been helpful if the hotel had a mini shop on site.

Great breakfasts, amazing choice. The staff were great from the check in onwards..very helpful. The hotel layout was excellent considering it's set right in the middle of an urban area and the small pools are lovely.

I was not happy about having 2 sets of stairs within the accommodation. I was expecting 1 set up into the room but was not expecting a second set up onto the balcony...this wasn't made clear in the description. The bathroom was very squeezed and awkward to open and close the doors....for some reason the extractor fan is not in the bathroom/toilet but is in the bedroom over the sink...very strange. No coat or bag hooks either.

Short 20 minute transfer from airport. The hotel was spotlessly clean, the pool area welcoming and relaxing, staff extremely friendly, room comfortable and a good size. The location is excellent. A short walk to a sandy, quiet, small beach with clear waters and fish to swim with! The area is mainly residential and is quiet overnight. Close to local marina, hotel shuttle service to Palma central area. Breakfast was superb, many choices to suit all dietary needs with pancakes, eggs and omelettes cooked to order. Dinner a mix of freshly cooked meats and buffet items including local and international options.

Some guests may find the pools chilly early in the season. For me it was a welcome refresh on a hot day!

Breakfast was really good with a lot of different options. The pool area was easily accessible and had enough space for all the guests. Our room was clean and very nice, with a wonderful balcony overlooking the road below and all the way to the sea.

The only thing I can criticise was that we requested the reception to call us when the car rental company we rented from picked up the car keys, due to some questions we had for them. Even though I gave my personal phone number to the receptionist they did not call us and we lost a lot of money because of this.

I stayed in Annex. The staff are lovely. The room was great. The Pool is fabulous - I really loved the pool. There is a luxurious feel about the pool area as there is a view of the sea also. Breakfast is great - lovely food.

I did not like that there was no food available in the Annex area after 5pm, the Bar stays open until 10.45. You can go to main hotel but because the Annex and Main Hotel are on a hilly area and my mobility is not great I did not go to Main Hotel. There is no other immediate place to go to either - not that it is far to go to center but just in the immediate area. There is no vending machine to buy water or snacks either I do not alike when hotel request €300 deposit - I think this is outrageous.

The breakfast was superb in choice, selection and quality. There were two lovely pools with a great poolside cafe, which we enjoyed. The room was not huge but well designed with a little entrance hallway and a balcony with sea views. There is some construction around the hotel but it wasn't noisy for us. The staff were absolutely lovely and very helpful. The best thing is the hotel has the most amazing position for a gorgeous bay beach. We went for daily day time and moonlit swims and I can't even begin to describe how memorable it was.

If you go, please bear in mind that this is not a hotel for very young children. The pools are small and not spaces for thrashing about. More for cooling off than pool fun. There were lots of loved up couples and some older children. We wanted to eat at the dinner buffet but they don't do a kids price, and it seemed mad to spend E27 on kids meals when they wouldn't do the food justice. Another thing to note is that the hotel is at the bottom of a hill, with a steep climb up the town, and then downhill for the marina. Taxis can be tricky in peak season. So unless you enjoy a spot of hiking or have a car, access is tricky.

Lovely staff, wonderful food and very clean. The pool areas are beautiful.

The hotel is next to a building site so if you’re in a family deluxe suite or any room on the left hand side you are looking straight into a half built abandoned building. From our balcony you could have touched the scaffolding. The staff were so good and understanding and moved our room along so we could also the sea as well but could still see the building site but had we known this we likely wouldn’t have picked this hotel as you’re literally tripping over rubble from the building site on your way to the beach. July 2024.

Breakfast was excellent. The room and balcony sizes of the deluxe rooms were very good. The bathroom was modern and also a good size. The Pools were lovely however too cold to get into. The pool bar/restaurant was very nice. The staff were pleasant and nice to deal with.

We found the beds and pillows to be uncomfortable. The cleaning standard was not ideal. We were unable to book late check out room or rooms, the hotel provided a very small courtesy room with a glass wall shower, there were four of us, therefore it was embarrassing. We saw that clients were offered a welcome drink on arrival, we were not offered a welcome drink. The location was quite far from town centre and the port, very hilly and lengthy walks. Building works were all around.

The value you get for your money is fabulous!!! Compared to every other hotel on the island I feel like Tacande was one of the best places I could have ever booked based on quality and value. It was an easy drive to most popular places around the island and parking was never a big issue as the street running up it always had a spot for us. Also, the included buffet breakfast was good too!

What we would say could be improved, is that we booked a double room and we were given a completely different room. The room we were given was for those with a disability and the shower was highly uncomfortable as the shower curtain would blow back onto us while showering and water would spill everywhere onto the toilet and outside the bathroom. When we asked about the room switch, the lady at the front said it was just due to availability, but given we booked it well in advance, it seems strange the room we booked was suddenly unavailable. Plus, we were given two single beds when our room was described to have one double bed. They were able to put a double bed mattress topper over so my partner and I wouldn’t fall through the middle which was nice.
