Beautiful lodge located at the foot of the mountains and First Bahn, my room was a good size, comfortable and clean with a view to the gardens. Had my own sink and therefore only had to share the toilet and shower - no queue. Breakfast was fantastic, good range and held in the dining room with views to the mountains. Staff was friendly.

I should have requested a first floor room as my ground floor room window had direct access to the outside - but this is on me and not the hotel - just something to consider when booking

Cozy rooms and easy check in! There’s a sink in the single room, a closet storage space and a small private balcony (which allowed me to keep the window open to cool the room down while I slept). Bathrooms were shared but clean. They provided a towel and a lovely breakfast in the morning with coffee and breads, cheese, meats and granola. Very close to main attractions and they gave us free in-city bus privileges and a discount on the First cable car.

There was no toothbrushes provided. Not sure if its a culture here in Swiss but thats fine. Not a big fuss actually. Stairs are a little narrow if you are carrying big and bulky suitcases. The sound of your neighbours might be quite loud as the rooms are all very near each other. Please note toilets are shared but the condition of the toilets are totally fine.

I went for a comfy little room with a shared toilet/shower. The window from my room offered a lovely view of the mountains and a little garden. Breakfast is rich and vary. The old style look of the room and the hotel was really nice.

I appreciated the fact that they give you a visitor card good for discounts in different activities and transport, however I very much disliked the fact that they give it to you only once you enter your room: I went on the First Cliff Walk that morning by paying the full price ticket, only to realise the card the hotel gives you allows you a discount (and my check-in was obviously in the afternoon, after I've done that attraction already and according to what I had planned for my holidays I couldn't use that card in any other way unfortunately). It'd be nice to be informed of this card in advance or maybe give the visitor card in a digital way before our arrival, like other hotels do, so that we can actually use it or plan everything properly and ahead.

The room was clean and cozy, and there were nice resting common areas with tables and couches that made for good working/reading places. Breakfast was served from 7.30am onwards, but the coffee machine was always on/available. Toilets were shared but were always clean and the number of people using one toilet must have been low because they were always available when i wanted to use it. Staff were very very friendly and made sure i was well cared for which i really appreciate. Location is fantastic, near to lifts and easily accessible by bus to other lifts and train terminals.

I couldnt get the wifi sign in page to work on my laptop for the longest time (certificate issues), but it worked after switching to firefox as the default browser.

The room was clean and tidy with a bit of view of the alps. We got the shared bathroom which is also clean. We enjoyed our stay. The location is just a few minutes walk (about 5-10mins) from and to Grindelwald Train station. The Grindewald First Gondola station is just in front of the hotel.

Just an improvement, if its possible to add an airconditioning because it is a bit hot during summer time.

Location was close to many attractions, but it was still a quiet place. I loved the garden and all the places to sit and enjoy views of the mountains. Two common rooms were also convenient. Basic, but good selection at breakfast. Compared to other places in Grindelwald, the price is pretty good for a private room.

Some communication problems led to a delay in recess package I had sent to the hotel. Although the one staff member I interacted with was kind and helpful, it seemed communication was a bit inconsistent between staff. The fact that there is no staff on site after 3pm also makes it hard to get assistance in the evening. The building is old and although everything was clean, my single room had a musty smell to it.

the staff is super helpful and nice. the breakfast is kinda nice. the room is comfy, the shared bathroom is clean, has great space and looks really nice.

to get there, you have to take a steep walk from train station no elevator. more description abt the room can be given. there’s no hair dryer in the room that i thought it can’t be offered. but then the other day i spotted a hair dryer at the reception. reception operate in a short period of time, so you better ask everything in advance.

Good quality breakfast. Milk was extraordinary. I booked a room with share wash room but it was so clean and tidy(never expect that). Really friendly staff. Always ready for help.

It was summer in Switzerland. U open windows, there will be large bugs flied in to ur room and if u close it, the room would be a bit hot. A painful choice.

there’s nobody at reception late and response on chat it’s not too fast, grindelwald close everything early so after 8 pm you wont have places to eat or supermarket
