I booked room for my parents. It was present on my dad's birthday. They were so happy with room, view and hotel location. When other people were coming from other hotels by bus to get lift on mountains they needed to simply cross the road as lift was opposit the hotel. They enjoyed breakfast as well. They said there were different options every day. Spa zone was very nice and they really enjoyed it after skiing and walking. Also, room and hotel was very clean. I need to add that staff was also very helpful and friendly. My parents don't speak english or german at all, so they were using translater in phone to communicate with them. Staff in reception was happy to ansfer any question through translater. Thanks a lot for that! They said they were in paradise and defenitely would want to come back.

The location was perfect, the staff were extremely helpful and polite. The hotel itself is stunning, from every angle. The spa is also pretty special!!

Highlighting the rules for the spa would make sense. For those of us that aren't used to stripping down to our birthday suits, it came as quite a shock when we were made to do so. You are permitted to cover with your towel, but don't expect everyone else to. This wasn't explained very well to us, which resulted in slight frustration. Eventually, I spoke to reception and was offered an apology and free drinks!!

The staff were really kind and helpful, the restaurant was exceptionally beautiful with great ambience , the headchef was also very kind and he baked me the best birthday cake I’ve ever had and we enjoyed celebrating both my wife’s birthday and our 4th wedding anniversary. The location is also beautiful as you get to see mountains of beautiful snow and the fact that they gave me a snack gift for my dog , was really kind and thoughtful. The room was very nice and warm , the pool and spa was also included in our price which was great. We also loved the language flexibility with the staff as we didn’t encounter any language barriers. At the restaurant, the staff served us very well, and kept checking up on us time to time to ensure we are comfortable, which is really very kind of them. We are definitely coming back more times .

The mountain view from the room was stunning! It felt amazing to see the mountain from the bed immediately upon waking up.

The breakfast taste good, lots of option available and fresh. The free minibar makes our stay more cheerful. The location to the First is amazing, a shot walk to the town is bearable and the free local bus is very convenient to travel to Terminal station. Overall, it’s lovely and memorable stay.

Too many tourist groups, many tables reserved for them. It’s difficult to find a table for breakfast especially for the early morning. It would be helpful if the hotel can arrange a specific area for those groups , and leave a nice space for individual travellers to enjoy the breakfast .

We had an amazing time at this hotel. Its location right next to the First gondola made it easy to access the top of the mountain experience. Our room was incredibly comfortable, and we were treated to a phenomenal view of the Eiger mountain; I highly recommend choosing a room with a mountain view. The restaurant served delicious food with a fantastic staff, and the plentiful breakfast had everything we needed. The wellness area was beautifully designed and had everything to ensure a comfortable stay.

While we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would rate it highly, a few minor issues prevented a perfect 10/10. The USB ports in our room were broken, making charging a bit challenging, but we managed with the charging adapters provided by the front desk. The shower head lacked adjustment settings, resulting in overly strong water pressure; a better shower head would be expected. Additionally, the room had coffee but no tea. However, these were all small inconveniences that didn't significantly impact our overall experience. We highly recommend this hotel and hope to return soon.

This was a complete gem in the Swiss Alps. The location was spectacular, right across the street from the Grindelwlad First lift, they have the most amazing all-you-can-eat breakfast was included each morning, and the rooms were extremely comfortable with all of the amenities including refillable coffee and dinks. The staff was extremely helpful. We had booked an early ticket up to Jungfraujoch and were waiting for the bus across the street. It never showed up at the expected time and the front desk person came out, waved us down, and had the shuttle driver take us to the train station as it was a holiday and the bus schedule had changed.

If only we could have stayed longer!!

I would like to give my gratitude to the staff at sunstar hotel, after an accidental injury they were all upmost kind and understanding and helped me beyond that I could imagine. Thank you to the porter the shuttle services and mostly the young man and lady who helped me reach emergency services. The housekeeping manager massive thank you. I wish I remembered everyone's name. Our accommodation was very comfortable we had amazing views and the breakfast was great. Overall I would recommend sunstar to all my friends and family and will be visiting them again such a beautiful country and area.

too hot the room and slightly noisy with the truck opposite seems doing some grass cutting work in the early morning . and we don’t like the smell in the lobby seems there is smell of doggies .
