I don’t usually write reviews, but I loved our stay so much I had to. everything from the location to the restaurant to the physical rooms exceeded our expectation. and amazing, amazing service. (Fabian, we love you!) my husband and I were in Italy for over a week before getting to Grindelwald and both agreed the 4-course meal + wine tasting at the hotel was our favorite meal of the trip.

nothing! helpful things to note: the walk from the train station to the hotel is about 15 minutes, largely uphill. there is a bus stop right outside the hotel so I recommend just riding the bus for 3 stops and then you’re there! when we first got there we decided to take the scenic tour and walk, and well, it’s not for the faint of heart. 😬

We loved everything about our stay! The hotel is beautiful and the decor throughout is very grounding and relaxing. Our room was so comfortable and the patio had a nice view, even on cloudy days! The best part was the staff though. They helped us plan our days, suggested activities (including swinging through a canyon!), and even printed our tickets for us so we could avoid waiting in line. Breakfast everyday was wonderful and we loved coming back for our afternoon hot chocolate and snacks with the kindest hostess. We had dinner at the hotel one night and it was absolutely delicious, plus they accommodated several of our dietary restrictions in creating a three course meal for us. We really hope to be back!

nothing at all! This was our favorite hotel stay ever.

The staff was so welcoming and accommodating. They picked us up from the train station and helped with all our bags. There was always someone at the front desk to help us plan out our days and give us recommendations. They were also able to print out tickets for activities which saved us from waiting in long lines. Breakfast every morning was amazing with fresh bread and regional fare. We looked forward to it every single day. We had dinner at their restaurant one night and it was outstanding. There were many options utilizing fresh regional products. The room was perfect. It was extremely cozy with a fantastic balcony and view of the mountains to relax at nightly. We were beyond sad to check out and definitely plan on visiting again soon.

If I could permanently live in the top room with the view out to the mountains, I would. This is such a calm, clean and well designed out hotel. The moment you enter the hotel room, filled with the smell of real cedar, you just feel completely relaxed. The staff are so accommodating, the food is delicious, and it’s out of the way from the crowds further downtown but easy to reach with public transport. (The bus stop is literally outside). There is lift access within the hotel which was great as my grandmother isn’t great with walking up and down stairs. I don’t think i can ever stay anywhere else in Grindelwald to be quite honest.

whats NOT to like?! it's hard to believe they've been open less than a year with how seamless everything went. All of the staff goes above and beyond to be helpful and make your stay comfortable, all with a friendly smile on their faces. The rooms are clean and updated, keeping things extra comfortable. The location and views are breathtaking from all angles. I appreciated the location being a little away from all the hustle and bustle, but walking distance to everything you need. And the food!! be sure you make a dinner reservation- they're on their way to be Michelin star that's for sure. and the morning breakfasts are so delicious as well.

if I had to complain about something, it would be that I didn't have time to stay longer! we will for sure be back.

Stylish and well considered contemporary design in a well appointed hotel. The staff are young but knowledgeable (one of the owners is a sommelier and regaled us with fabulous local Swiss wines) The food is just superb- breakfasts had a good variety of cold meats, cheeses, cereals, Swiss yoghurts and bircher, breads and croissants etc or cooked to order. Dinner was superb- we tried the 3 course tasting menu which was sublime. If we could have afforded it we would have eaten there every night! Location was ideal just out of the main village of Grindelwald, so quieter, yet only a five minute stroll into the centre- plus the buses stop right outside. The best views of the glacier and the Eiger and Wetterhorn opposite!- absolutely stunning views!! We loved it very much!

Absolutely great hotel except - and speaking as a UK visitor here- we would have loved some strong (plenty of tannin) Assam/Ceylon blend English Breakfast tea as well as the Earl Grey that was offered, which is more of an afternoon tea. A smart variety was on offer in the restaurant but a very weak blend. Maybe take your own Yorkshire or PG tea bags!! Milk sachets in the rooms for tea and white coffee drinkers. A coffee maker would have been ideal- esp as no room service and more akin to other 4* hotels we have stayed at. No alternative to the fine dining menu on offer for residents which meant we ate out elsewhere every other night. A prix fixe/set menu for residents would have been acceptable.

Location was great as it is only few minutes walk from the cable car station. It is also sitting on the more quiet end of the main street but still in close proxiity to the shops and restaurants. Free carpark is a bonus. The reception was very friendly and was willing to help with ticket purchase and recommending hiking/sightseeing routes. We woke up to a nice clear blue sky and greenery of Grindelwald from the room terrace.

There was not much variety of choices for breakfast which I think the hotel could make some improvement on.

Staying at Hotel Fiescherblick was one of the highlights of our whole trip. The staff truly made us feel like a part of their family from the moment we walked in the door; owners Lars and Matthias went above and beyond to help us book activities, plan our itinerary, and offer gestures that really made us feel welcome. The hotel itself is beautiful and modern and in an incredibly picturesque location in the center of town, surrounded by breathtaking mountains right outside the doorstep. The hotel restaurant also served one of the best meals we had on our trip. Staying here is a very special experience and we'll definitely be back!

Having kitchenette in the room was one of the reasons we chose to stay here as we travelled with 2 yo baby and we planned to cook some easy meal for her sometimes. Unfortunately, staff didn’t allow us to cook in the room and that’s very disappointed. if only we knew that we will select other room types which is much cheaper. :(

I have stayed on so many 5 stars hotel all over the world, and only two can compare with this experience. What this family do is on a very high level. Just unfortunately I had to run the Eiger Ultra and could not go all in, in Lars’s wine cellar. Food was marvellous. Will come back in the nearest time. Thanks guys.
