location was in a quieter and more peaceful part of zermatt, still within a walking distance from the train station (do not that the shorter route recommended by google maps includes going up a steep slope, so do take the slightly longer route if you are keen on walking, or take the taxis). room was cozy and comfortable and we absolutely loved the view that we have from the balcony :) breakfast was lovely and delightful and the staff are very friendly and helpful!

our stay would be perfect if our room could be a little more spacious!

Nice staff ,Great view facing matterhorn ,they have balcony where you can sit and enjoy coffee and the beatiful view ,yes they do have free coffee in the lobby 🙂.room was big enough for 2 with closet and a nice seating area in the corner .. Our room was 202 where I could actually see Matterhorn from my bed thru window .. Good free breakfast

Hotel is a bit uphill and around 15 min from train station/no shuttle ..we struggled to get our luggage all way there .so if someone has mobility issues ,get a taxi they have plenty of them at train station .we were told it is 17 chf . That being saiid ,I would stay there again

This quaint hotel was a wonderful place to stay in busy Zermatt. We had a wonderful view of The Matterhorn from our balcony. The staff, especially Barbara was very helpful, as well as being bright and cheerful all of the time. The breakfast was also very good! It was just a bit out of the center, and we liked that because it was quieter than down in the very center. It was still very conveniently located to everything. We really appreciated the “thank you” that they offered on any day that you did not need your room cleaned. Nice touch. We would definitely stay here again.

We liked everything

I can’t speak highly enough about this property - the location, staff and quality of the hotel itself was great! We loved all the little touches they provide for their guests (e.g. 24/7 coffee machine, free biscuits, self-service bar and the option of a free drink or discount on your next stay if you opt to not have your room cleaned). The sauna, steam room and whirlpool was fantastic, especially on a sunny afternoon and the breakfast was of a great standard. We feel this is the best hotel we have stayed in during our visit to Switzerland and would definitely stay here again!

Nothing 😃

One of the few family friendly rooms I was able to find in all of Zermatt. King sized bed for adults downstairs, and twin bed and queen sized bed in the loft. The view of the Matterhorn from the room was literally stunning! Couldn't get over it. Convenient to have breakfast available at the hotel, nothing fancy, but it was quick and convenient to grab breakfast before hitting the slopes. The spa is wonderful! Open from 4-730PM daily, but available to rent for private use before/after that. We rented the hot tub every day after skiing from 3-4PM. The views from the hot tub are magical!

The king sized bed in the room is 2 twin beds pushed together, which is fine/typical in Europe. However, there was a wood beam down the middle of the bed which was uncomfortable when trying to snuggle. Otherwise beds were comfortable.

Staff so awesome and friendly, and the hot tub/spa area was amazing after a day of skiing. Their breakfast was delicious, great variety of cheeese, bread, fruit, meat, juices. Also had great expresso machine that you could use 24 hours. Another one in breakfast area. We also had a great lofted room which was perfect for our college daughter.

We didn't love the walk to the bus stop. (really was just about 5 blocks), but with ski boots and carrying skis.... Probably next time would rent a locker right at the base of the mountain. The hotel did have a super nice ski storage space though. Splurged on a taxi a couple of times which was $12 francs direct to the ski area for 3 people.

A great hotel with rooms offering views onto the Matterhorn and a wellness area with sauna, steam room, hot tub, and more. The wellness area is definitely the highlight of the hotel and is very well-maintained. There is a sauna and hot tub on the outside, both of which have views on the Matterhorn. Outside guests can join a hotel guest for an additional fee. The rooms are rather small, which is typical, but they are clean and the beds were comfortable. The small balconies provide some extra room and have views onto the Matterhorn.

The bathroom could have used some additional attention - mold that had been painted over and the toilet seat was very loose. It is also very small and inconveniently located in a corner of the room with an outside swinging door that would then obstruct access to the entry door and the sink.

The spa was great with many options. Nice breakfast. No need to carry skis or wear boots to the lifts since there are so many storage options away from the hotel. Nice staff and very welcoming. Beautiful view and balcony from the upper floor room which correctly advertises a nice Matterhorn view.

The spa hours were too limited (4-8 pm), which meant you have to plan your afternoon and dinner time around time in the spa. Not a huge inconvenience since restaurants are open after 8. Also the property is a bit uphill from the main streets; I don’t mind the exercise but some might find the walk challenging.

The hotel is fabulous, I really enjoyed my stay and definitely would recommend. The hotel has a very good location, close to the village centre, restaurants and shops. The ski lifts are within walking distance, the hotel is between Matterhorn Express (15min) and Sunnegga (8min) lifts. That said, Zermatt is a long narrow village and the lifts are either sides of the long dimension, so from most accommodations you'd need to have some walk to get there. The room was nice, comfortable and clean (single room with balcony). All members of staff were very friendly, helpful and polite, and do their best to make your stay great. Really good breakfast - scrambled eggs + sausages + tomatoes, large choice of meat cuts and variety of cheese, variety of bread rolls and croissants, muesli, pancakes, jams, fruits, coffees, juices etc etc etc... The spa is superior - outside whirlpool with the view to Matterhorn, sauna and steam room. The hotel offers teas and coffees for free in the lobby throughout the day. There are many small details that also make difference - international socket in the room (no need to think about adapters), very nice changing room (can be used if you go to ski after checkout). Also, any day you can voluntary decide to skip daily cleaning for a treat (eg a drink). There is a ski room and boot dryer.

Really nothing...

Very nice clean modern room. A bit small but a very good use of space. They have an amazing Wellness center with a sauna, steam room, “quiet rooms for relaxing out of the crowds; and a wonderful infinity pool outside with a magnificent view of the Matterhorn. Our room had a nice little balcony with a great view of the Matterhorn and other mountains and comfortable chairs with little warm blankets. The staff were amazing; very warm and friendly and accommodating with a lot of knowledge about the area. The breakfast was healthy and delicious with good variety. The woman we interacted with the most, Valerie, made us feel very welcome. This is a gal you feel you just would like to be friends with
