This hotel truly exceeded my expectations! While there was no mountain view from my room, it didn’t bother me at all. The hotel more than made up for it with amazing amenities like a free sauna, spa, pool, and even a mountain-view jacuzzi! There were also plenty of games to enjoy. The breakfast spread was absolutely delicious, with plenty of variety. My room was surprisingly spacious and had everything I needed. The bathroom was like a room in itself, with a large bathtub, twin basins, and even bathrobes—it felt so luxurious! It was the perfect stay, and I’d highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for great value in Zermatt. The stay was very friendly and made us feel ar home. Would always stay here and no where else.

there is nothing not to like

The room was fantastic. On arrival we were upgraded to a family room and the room was phenomenal. We had a Matterhorn view from the large balcony which was perfect for our morning picture opportunity. The property is 5 minute walk from Zermatt station and the rest of the amazing shops and high street. Breakfast was incredible so much variety. To top it off the wonderful spa is reminiscent of luxury gyms in London, very impressive. My and both my friends were more than impressed with our stay and will definitely be staying here again when we return to Zermatt. For those that smoke, the Sinatra smokers lounge by the entrance is also super cool. Thank you to all the staff who made this stay so wonderful.

Loved everything about the property could not fault it.

The room was so spacious. Excellent bathroom. The bath products provided were of excellent quality. Amazing location friendly staff. Well organized and delicious break fast spread. So in love with the pool spa facilities. Special mention to the spacious bathroom and facilities and products. Excellent location. Not far from station. Pickup facility. Over all a wonderful experiensed. Left the place much relaxed and happy.

Location was excellent and the environment was very nice. We were greeted by a Portuguese lady who made us feel welcome right from the get-go. We got an upgrade when we got to the hotel and stayed in a family room instead of the budget room we had booked, the room was amazing with a wonderful view to the mountains. We were sad we couldn’t enjoy more the hotel and the facilities like the pool. Breakfast was amazing with so much variety! We definitely want to go back!

We loved the complimentary access to the wellness center until 10pm with its onsen, stylish indoor pool, sauna with a button to add essential oil, jacuzzi, hot/cold showers with fragrant mist, quiet rooms, and complimentary refreshments and snacks. We loved the spacious bedroom and bathroom that included bathrobes and slippers, even though it was the hotel's 'budget room'. We really appreciated the luggage room as we checked-in early before our room was ready, as well as its changing room and access to a bathroom and shower. We didn't have time, but we would have loved to play in the spacious play room with its pool table, foosball, and ping-pong table. The hotel is really close to the tran station (5-min walk) but the free on-demand shuttle service is appreciated in case of big luggages. The breakfast was good, the choices were pretty on point (yogurt, granola, pancakes, breads, jams, eggs, bacon, sausages, deli meats, freshly cut cured ham, cheeses, rice, beans, coffee, tea, juices). For those who like it, there's even champagne to make mimosa cocktails.

We'd prefer and appreciate freshly squeezed orange juice. The space for breakfast is a little tight compared to other rooms, but nicely furnished. We don't have any other suggestions to improve the hotel's already wonderful amenities and services.

It was so nice having a pool and spa available after a long day of skiing. The breakfast buffet each morning was also a highlight of the trip.

I wish I could have been in a room with a few more amenties and a little more space, but I fully recognize that I booked a budget room and got a budget experience.

Huge room, plenty of space for 3 people. Very clean, modern facilities and a really big bathroom. The hotel facilities are amazing - we used the outdoor jacuzzi and indoor pool which were both lovely. Location is great, just a short 5 minute walk from the station. Breakfast was great, including gluten free bread.

Everything was perfect

The Hotel is conveniently situated very near the railway station. The room was clean, spacious and comfortable and so was the bathroom. The breakfast (included in a very reasonable price) was of a very high quality and varied. The hotel staff friendly and helpful. All in all a very good price quality relation.

Room is extremely spacious. Beds and linen are very comfortable. Drink making facilities in room. Fixtures and fittings are very high quality. Shower pressure excellent. Great choice of breakfast items and food of high quality. Prosecco available as a breakfast drink choice. Transport service to and from hotel provided. Free luggage store when we arrived too early for check in. Location great- 5 mins walk from station and 2 mins walk to supermarket.

Room was a bit cold at night. Needed to wear extra layers in bed. Bathroom is downstairs from sleeping area- not an issue for me but may be problem for those who need to go to toilet multiple times in the night. Note that the name of the hotel is Alpen Resorts- we got a bit lost going to the hotel looking for signs to Zermatt Budget Rooms.

The hotel is conveniently located about 5-10min from the train station. The room is extremely spacious and the bathroom is humungous. Very modern and we really appreciated the daily room service. There is also a games room in the basement of the hotel to keep guests entertained. The breakfast was the icing on top - absolutely amazing. This hotel is worth the money we paid for.

The customer service could be better and staff more courteous.
