The room was fantastic. On arrival we were upgraded to a family room and the room was phenomenal. We had a Matterhorn view from the large balcony which was perfect for our morning picture opportunity. The property is 5 minute walk from Zermatt station and the rest of the amazing shops and high street. Breakfast was incredible so much variety. To top it off the wonderful spa is reminiscent of luxury gyms in London, very impressive. My and both my friends were more than impressed with our stay and will definitely be staying here again when we return to Zermatt. For those that smoke, the Sinatra smokers lounge by the entrance is also super cool. Thank you to all the staff who made this stay so wonderful.

Loved everything about the property could not fault it.

We loved the complimentary access to the wellness center until 10pm with its onsen, stylish indoor pool, sauna with a button to add essential oil, jacuzzi, hot/cold showers with fragrant mist, quiet rooms, and complimentary refreshments and snacks. We loved the spacious bedroom and bathroom that included bathrobes and slippers, even though it was the hotel's 'budget room'. We really appreciated the luggage room as we checked-in early before our room was ready, as well as its changing room and access to a bathroom and shower. We didn't have time, but we would have loved to play in the spacious play room with its pool table, foosball, and ping-pong table. The hotel is really close to the tran station (5-min walk) but the free on-demand shuttle service is appreciated in case of big luggages. The breakfast was good, the choices were pretty on point (yogurt, granola, pancakes, breads, jams, eggs, bacon, sausages, deli meats, freshly cut cured ham, cheeses, rice, beans, coffee, tea, juices). For those who like it, there's even champagne to make mimosa cocktails.

We'd prefer and appreciate freshly squeezed orange juice. The space for breakfast is a little tight compared to other rooms, but nicely furnished. We don't have any other suggestions to improve the hotel's already wonderful amenities and services.

Room is extremely spacious. Beds and linen are very comfortable. Drink making facilities in room. Fixtures and fittings are very high quality. Shower pressure excellent. Great choice of breakfast items and food of high quality. Prosecco available as a breakfast drink choice. Transport service to and from hotel provided. Free luggage store when we arrived too early for check in. Location great- 5 mins walk from station and 2 mins walk to supermarket.

Room was a bit cold at night. Needed to wear extra layers in bed. Bathroom is downstairs from sleeping area- not an issue for me but may be problem for those who need to go to toilet multiple times in the night. Note that the name of the hotel is Alpen Resorts- we got a bit lost going to the hotel looking for signs to Zermatt Budget Rooms.

The BEST Swiss hotel we had during our16 days Switzerland trip. The room & bathroom are spacious and there are lots of amazing facilities children and adults can enjoy, worth the money spent. Breakfast was excellent with many options. Staffs are very friendly and they provide pick up service from the train station to the hotel. The location is a short walking distance to the train station. Wished we had stayed longer and will stay here again if we ever come back.

The hotel is conveniently located about 5-10min from the train station. The room is extremely spacious and the bathroom is humungous. Very modern and we really appreciated the daily room service. There is also a games room in the basement of the hotel to keep guests entertained. The breakfast was the icing on top - absolutely amazing. This hotel is worth the money we paid for.

The customer service could be better and staff more courteous.

The alpen resort hotel was really a good experience, the room was very large, and very clean, the bathroom was extremely clean and big with all you would wish for, breakfast was good, staff were very helpful and listening to each client and offering help, u get the pickup and drop off service on time for train transfers, i will definitely come back and i strongly recommend it

The heaters are not functioning properly u have to keep changing the temperature, but it was manageable

The room was biggest I have ever had in a hotel. The hotel also provides RFID-lockable ski lockers in two sizes: large (can fit 2 helmets, 4 pairs of skis, and 4 pairs of boots or gloves) or small (half of the large). The lockers have boot/glove/helmet driers inside.

The boot/helmet driers work, but not always 100%. Noticed that sometimes the air flow was much better than other times; the air wasn't heated.

The hotel was pretty nice. we really enjoyed the SPA and all the resources, the room was unbelievable confortable as well as the location pretty convenient. However, I made a deposit with my debit card and they refunded my by cash which is not very convenient due to the exchange of CHF to EUR since I lost money… The staff were very polite and nice but they could have perhaps tried to make a refund to debit card trough the PMS system instead. Is not a big deal, but the currency exchange may have an impact on Customer Service. Anyways, I really enjoyed my stay :) We will come back for sure.

The hotel was amazing, the spa was more than great. The breakfast excellent, with so many delicious options. The staff of the wellness area was very attentive and supportive. Also Antonella from the restaurant area :) The room was very big and confortable. We recommend this hotel for sure and if we ever come back, we will stay again.

Our room didn't have curtains, they offer once and then we asked twice but never went to place them. It wasn't a big deal and the view was nice, but they didn't helped us with that.

The rooms have their own green terrace. It's part of the hotel with free access to the wellness area. There is a family space in the wellness which allows one parent to enjoy the adult area while the other stays with the child. It's equipped with toys and also small space with a little play kitchen and seats. The restaurant Hornex has the play area, so you can enjoy meal while your little one plays.
